I like the few minutes that you guys spent on humility and how your guest specifically said "capable people are humble". I was told my whole life that I was smart and that had a strong influence on an arrogance problem. It wasn't until my arrogance got my ass kicked that I learned some humility and started studying martial arts. Now everytime I notice arrogance starting to crop back up I repeat this to myself: "The perfect person has no room for improvement. The person who knows everything learns nothing".

People like Viking Samurai are really helping to create a community of martial arts fans. Channels like his are providing content rarely seen anywhere else. Social media works quickly and is now providing the fans with a real say about what they want to see. I believe that, we as fans, can create enough momentum to get the producers and streaming services to take notice. I get excited when I talk to people around the world about the films that started their life long passion in martial arts. You can see this in Michiel's face in this interview when they talk about Bloodsport. That's why the Bloodsport Redux Trailer was created, not as a prank or joke but because we want to see good martial arts films. The fans want to see that kind of movie. Although the true sequel to Bloodsport seems impossible it doesn't mean there aren't other films that cant be invigorated again, films with unfinished business. I didn't even know you and the AJ guy were on bad terms until now. I just remember him as a guest on your channel and his dislike for MJW and issued a challenge. I thought some of the things he was saying was a little arrogant but never even thought much of it.
He posted soft sparring and called it hard sparring..you cannot do spinning kicks under high pressure, often if can do a spinning move then a simple punch would have easier instead with less risk

That training footage is scary, in a good way. I love martial arts in any way, shape or form. But some folks (including me) need to learn that there is a huge difference between beautiful fighting arts, and real fighting skills. No disrespect to styles such as TKD or Aikido, but this UCN is the real deal and a wake up call. (and also beautiful, if you appreciate it for what it is)
Dude I heard that fighting style was rooted to the Warsaw uprising, where the “sewer rats” as the German soldier referred to them as, would lure Soldiers into the sewers and they ambush them and they got so proficient in disarming a soldier they created that fighting style and it advanced after WW2. Is that true or similar?
Great stuff ! When I first found out that AJ was bashing Urban combatives. I took it to heart. Because I learned a lot from the UK combative community. It started about 20 years ago. From a man named Geoff Thompson. I did his master class. And then learned about one of his students Lee Morrison. And absolutely loved his style of teaching. And learned so much. And it saved my butt more than once. In the street's by simply using the fence concept and mental warfare. Without ever needing to throw a punch. The art of fighting without fighting. So I went to AJ Channel and left him some comments on why he was bashing Urban combatives. A little back and forth and he came across nice on his channel anyway. Sorry about the long rant. I've just been really immersed in the TH-cam martial arts community.Long be for it was cool.
Mulder is 100% on point. As a retired Law Enforcement Officer there really is only certain things that work consistently with combatives. Regardless of size, strength , drug induced whatever. Martial Arts can be pretty but when your fighting for your life, the combative needs to be neutralized ASAP. Maybe Mulder will run into him in the Netherlands....see what he says to his face then...Ill bet AJ will turn tail. 😂😂

I remember watching the video you did with Aj and the other bouncer guy talking about Roadhouse and it seemed like that guy couldn't get a word in without Aj just cutting him off and going off on stories that honestly sounded like bs but hats off to you cause you were trying to involve him as much as you could I feel bad for not remembering his name but either way another great video!!! Keep up the good work and positivity!
Way to man up and learn from all this.... respect.....I think you have tremendous integrity and I admire how open minded positive and objective you are
Just keep up the good work brother. Great interview 😁
Constantine D’Amato said that character helps a fighter win, and I think being humble is a part of having character. Melvin Manhoef hits so hard, he throws bombs however he misses and falls sometimes. I think he was referring to Remy Bonjowski a k-1 fighter from the Netherlands
He had a private training he paid for with Remy, he told me he sparred Melvin
@@VikingSamurai wow, that sounds kind of unbelievable if he didn’t get kod. I keep Melvin in the back of my mind because of his explosive punching power.
@@TheRealTomahawk Manhoef definitely has some dynamite in his hands...I remember when he was a middle weight and fought Mark Hunt who was a heavyweight with an iron chin and Melvin put him to sleep
Lol, this is getting more intense than Johnny deep vs amber heard defamation trial. This interview was great, you have been. On a roll lately, but were is that JCVD,Sly or Segal interview?????
No, no you did not make a mistake. You paved the way for great to share their great opinions and experiences. If you did not interview little "him", we would never have had such great follow up material to watch. Keep doing what you do well.
Hey brother their's no need to apologize! What I like about your channel, you give people a chance to express themselves! Let them share their martial arts experiences and training. Even if their full of crap, you still hear them out. Unfortunately we can anticipate when individuals gaslight us! You can vetted as much but a few will slip through the cracks. If anything your helping many people by showing what not be & aspiring to be a good person & true martial artist. Keep up with the great content! Semper Fi and OSU!
He is a clever guy. Good video
🙏🏻🙏🏻
I like this guy, he’s cool and friendly. Has the mindset and attitude of a real martial artist.
Thanks a lot for the kind words!
Michael seems like a genuine cool guy I’d love to train with him he definitely knows his stuff
Agreed, he'd be amazing to train with!
This man seems legit, looks and sounds like a real bad ass. And that AJ guy thinks he can beat this guy?
People like you are the reason that I grew up loving martial arts. I'm all about the way of harmony or Bushido, martial arts for life man
That's the way I feel when I watch your videos ...you seem to love all the same movies I did growing up ..like bloodsport when bloodsport came out here in the u.k. 88-89 I was 15 years old i think i had already been training in kickboxing for 2 years so on its release it made a big splash in martial arts circles.i fell in love with that movie and my whole style now is thanks to van damme ..the jumping reverse split kick ..kicking and holding your leg up there ..the splits between chairs I copied it all ..I'm now 50 and a 3rd dan BB and I still train everyday ( and actually can still do all of those things )..kickboxer ..cyborg..death warrant..a.w.o.l.. (I think it was called leon or lionheart in the states) I still watch them regularly and that's what I love about your channel you show a genuine love for these films ..keep up the good work ..dont be worrying about thus Bakker turd ..he'll open his mouth to the wrong person one day and his mouth will be shut painfully for him .....
I didn't even know you and the AJ guy were on bad terms until now. I just remember him as a guest on your channel and his dislike for MJW and issued a challenge. I thought some of the things he was saying was a little arrogant but never even thought much of it.
The only reason I watched AJ was that you two were friends.
He posted soft sparring and called it hard sparring..you cannot do spinning kicks under high pressure, often if can do a spinning move then a simple punch would have easier instead with less risk
Viking Samurai taking shots🙊🙊🙊 Great job from Michiel. You have to learn discipline before learning to fight or be in combat. The EGO has to be controlled or it will control you...👍👊😎
Thanks!
Random question, but is there a JCVD autobiography? I have searched high and low and can't find anything up to this point.
No, closest thing is a book from his sister titled, "My Brother Jean Claude". It was limited and is out of print now though.
@@VikingSamurai excellent thanks. Have you read it? If so is it any good? If so, I'll look for it
@@Kevin_Symmonds Yes, great book, I may cover some of it on the channel in future.
If this dude confronted AJ in the street AJ would either be running or calling the police.
Yup ..everyones a tough guy online
Or start talking about how good looking he was. Lol
Great interview. Keep it going forward.
viking you are a top notch martial artist in my book.
Specifically why?
Ethics is very apparent!
Keep up the truth and humility mate keep it real 💯%
Good guy👍 I was looking for some old videos from the AJ Van character for a good laugh, but couldn't see any. Good that you've taken them down. He doesn't need anymore platforms to spread his hate. You live and learn right. Keep up the excellent work Viking👍😁 I hope AJ sees the light, he will if this guy gets hold of him🤣 I know you say, you might consider giving him a second chance, very admirable, but tread carefully if those apologies start rolling in.👍
Hey guys just saw your video and i would like to leave a comment on the "Bloodsport" sequel. There is one. Released directly on VHS: "Bloodsport 2: the next kumite" with Daniel Bernhart (Mortal Kombat: the series, Matrix, John Wick chapter 1, Jason Bourne,...) and even a thirth one. Respect and greetings from Belgium.
He said...As I've been preaching.....on the street.. You do not want 2 go 2 the ground.
We've discussed this before....
My mouth always got dry, and My bladder felt full at the same time....always amazed Me. LoL
Great Video 👍😁👍
Watching now but might have to finish tomorrow. I'm starting to get over tired. I'll just say when it's all said and done I would like for everyone to just relax and get along. And yes we are like a brotherhood.
That scene from Karate Kid you put! 😁
Again an excellent pod cast ,,perfect truth!
Bro, your the best man, props to you and your honesty. Great guest, love the guy!
Thanks!!
Great interview. Would love for you to talk to Luke Holloway (Raw Combat) one day. He's an OG martial arts youtuber but also a divisive figure (much like Frank Dux).
Very nice and great conversation. 👌👌👌
No need to apologize everybody knows that you are a positive guy who makes great content
Cheers to the brotherhood of 80s and 90s action movies!
First thing of martial arts is being able to talk your way out of a situation
A person who brags about what they can do and what they have done are very small inside. They are insignificant within.
David your dang cat is killing me lol.. bald cat sitting on your shoulder wearing a Hawaiian shirt lol!. Tell people this and they wouldn't believe me..hahaha!
Great video love the guest
Thank you guys for this!! 👍 True Warriors will never be forgotten. God bless you both!! And... Train more and harder... 💪😂😂
(and also beautiful, if you appreciate it for what it is)
Hey now, looking good in that green shirt.. 😉 I don't think AJ could fill out a shirt like that.
I thought it was always weird how nobody seems to know who aj even is.
People usually find out about him bc he talks so much crap about people
@@VikingSamurai yeh I hear you.
AJ wants to be famous..he might soon get there, he's a natural troll who loves van damme really.
I saw these videos and still have no idea who he is
What an great way to start The Day thnx Viking Samurai! 🤣💪
You said here’s the sequel. You never mentioned AJ’s eulogy. Jokes aside, still a good response and dialogue. Stay true VS!
This guy : "I am so humble and give seminars all over Europe".
You don't have to apologize for anything, Viking. You couldn't know how this would all turn out.
Viking samurai,,when are you going to cover "mick coup" lol please
Mulder is 100% on point. As a retired Law Enforcement Officer there really is only certain things that work consistently with combatives. Regardless of size, strength , drug induced whatever. Martial Arts can be pretty but when your fighting for your life, the combative needs to be neutralized ASAP. Maybe Mulder will run into him in the Netherlands....see what he says to his face then...Ill bet AJ will turn tail. 😂😂
Thanks for the support!
@@schoolofselfprotection yes sir. I respect your work completely. In America in SWAT we use speed, surprise and violence of action. That's how we come out on top of barricaded armed combatives. I compare your system to that. Like you said if your just defending your losing. Peace and health to you brother.
Oh man - I wish AJ would have shown up in Frankfurt last month 😂
I concur 💯
Wow, vikings i love this interview that was educational i watched urban combative channel i like the guy he is humble with skills thanks i learned today don't fight for ego fight for preservation wow that is wise. Cool video thanks Samurai
Thanks for the kind words!
I'm lucky to be living in the same country he lives... he sounds smart and tactical. Should visit one day
Feel welcome!
Great video viking. this guest is cool and knowledgable. Could you please get the legend vincent klyn on for a interview👍
Thanks!
@@schoolofselfprotection my pleasure.
