Artists as a general rule are always overly self critical, myself included. We all see the perceived faults in our work , even when no one else sees them. I really appreciate all of the vids you've put out. Thanks for teaching me!!!
This really helped a lot! I am currently working on my own animated pilot and right now, you're videos keep pushing me one step closer to making my dream a reality. Keep up the great work and best of luck to your film!
6:40 Omg You can do THAT in krita? That's awesome 😢 I'm going to try 'cause I really need a tool like that I make animations in krita but I think I'm going to download opentoonz for the camera, maybe put frames of krita on otz and experiment, thank you so much for the help
I don't hate the color scheme. It's whimsical without being all cliche, I just want more color contrast because my eyes go directly to the green bottles
Hey Sebastian, maybe you can help me out. I’ve just finished writing the entire script of my show and now I’m moving on to making character model sheets. But the problem I’m having right now is that it turns out I don’t enjoy drawing as much as I enjoyed writing. But I don’t want to stop drawing because of this reason, I have all the characters in my head and it’s great to give them a physical look. But something about drawing just completely demotivates me and procrastinating is so much easier than it was with writing. I could really get into ‘the zone’ with writing, having a blast of a time, but I barely get this good feeling anymore now that I’m drawing. Maybe it has something to do with that I’m always worried that I can’t draw my character 1000% the same as the previous version. Maybe I’m putting too much pressure on it in general and I’m getting stressed out. Or maybe I’m just not as interested in drawing as I thought I was, which would be a shame, because I really want to start making animatics after the model sheets are done. And tips or tricks? I’m still really passionate about making my script into a cartoon show, which makes this problem very frustrating for me. Also also, not liking to draw frustrates me even MORE because now I can’t put on paper which scenes I constantly play in my head.
bro, delete your disclaimer. Youre out here making tutorial for art to teach ppl, and are already established a small following. You are a pro (That title means nothing), because you have and continue to put the work in.
Thank you for putting these videos for the world! Can you make more Krita videos someday? And if you excuse me, how long did it take to make this background, in hours? I dream of making a game by myself, and I want to know how fast I should be going for. Sorry if this is a rude question! And as someone else said, you deserve more subscribers! Keep going!
It took somewhere around 11 hours total. A more accurate time will be provided in the timelapse version of this video. I hope you the best when it comes to game development. Never give up! I recently got interested in a free-opensource game engine called Godot. It's basically the opentoonz of game development (except with a larger following). Maybe check it out? There's some great tutorials for it here on youtube!
@@NobleFrugal Thank you! Yeah, I already have Godot, I simply began learning Unity because there are more jobs in indie studios and ad and analytics tools, but since they are placing some features behind paywalls I'm actually considering moving to Godot. I appreciate your suggestion!
So hey my drawing section kinda disappeared the tab is still there and the other functions are still there as well, but the light table or white screen is not there. If anyone can give some useful info that can help me out with this issue it would be very much appreciated.
you do fine work. your intro is you almost putting yourself down and it's not true. you're as good as anyone else.

You know you are a very HARD WORKER right??? 🧐 and yeah ADD some MORE tables and chairs in it !
I feel very welcome! I'm new!
Thaaank youuu♡♡
Okay... I feel better now. I frickin hated doing backgrounds. In fact, I don’t hate them any less. But it seems easier the way you do it, so. Okay.
Thanks!
That is very generous of you. Thank you for your gift. Happy animating!
Could you make a tutorial about animating camera angles?
How to move the background. Do you need to paint the same room from multiple angles, one for each shot??
Please make a perspective video!
Plz make a video on how to inbetween in opentoonz
Added it to the list. Thanks!
So when you create a room - do you make a background of each wall in the room and then tile them together and skew the walls to create perspective?
