In this video we head back to the two day auction, the second day is a "DRAFT HORSE SPECIAL" But unfortunately we were late and missed most of the draft horses. We do see a few though! Plus a really nice Belgian cross molly mule team! We also share a sneak peek of Oliver being saddled up for the FIRST TIME! And share our next adventure that we are about to do with him! We are REALLY EXCITED ABOUT THIS ONE!

If you don't know who Oliver is, long story short, we rescued him from going to a kill pen, and with the help of our wonderful viewers we were able to bring him home to homestead horsemanship! He was underweight and very sick when we first got him, but again, with the help from our wonderful viewers we were able to treat him and get him on the mend! Fast-forward a few months later and he doesn't even look like the same horse! Check out his playlist to see his beautiful story!

We are all about raising and training our horses, the Missouri Foxtrotter. Our goal is to bring awareness to this breed and showcase just how wonderful they are! We also raise and train our working border collie dogs. And don’t forget the homesteads sheep, goats and mini cattle!!! We also go to occasional auctions and recently have gotten into regenerative farming/agriculture. We are all about learning how to improve our fields/soil.

Oliver is such a gentle giant! He finally broke 16 hands!! It's so awesome that he gets to go on a shopping spree! I watch every video you put out. HH is my favorite channel of all time! I'm looking forward to seeing you and Oliver go shopping!!

For me personally, I've never had "fun" at an auction. I've always left in tears for so many treated like throw aways. I've seen some horrible things - now that was years ago and a nowhere area in Michigan. I can count the times on one hand I've ever gone. Same for shows and competitions. Seems the bad apples are always there making a name for themselves appear means more than caregiving for that innocent animal. I do appreciate your channel as I feel you actually care.
Same , I think the horses look sad .. must be stressful for them too .
He is a good looking boy is Oliver. It broke ma heart when I saw him all thoses mouths back uses have done a fantastic job careing for him. Cant wait to see him all harnessed up hes gonna look magnificent ❤

This was a great two-parter. You asked what we would like to see? Farm life is many different sorts of tasks and happenings. I enjoy watching the full spectrum of life on the Rosa homestead. My vote is to please keep the variety. Thanks for posting.
The place I go in the mountains uses some mules and breeds their own. They told us they use the sweetest mare as mom and have a jack that is sweet cooperative and affectionate as dad. Then they raise them with lots of affection so their mules are good as riding or for pack animals.
Oliver looks wonderful saddled and bridled up, I think he’d be great to ride. 😊 he looks so healthy and proud, he gives off an aura of peacefulness and love. What a boy❤👍😘

Awww so cute the draft mules!! I love drafthorses (and other big breed horses) Big, sweet and most of the time so gentle❤. I love to watch Fletcherfarm Ammirilo to, the save (only) drafthorses from slaugther and give them al the love, (medical) care and a great life.

Loved the donkeys. Had good friends who had a donkey. He was a gentle guy, stubborn but gentle. I rode him in the local 4H fair horse races in the barrel race. We came in last and won a medal for slowest race. Let's just say it took awhile to get around the barrels. Made the front page of the sports page in the local paper. Love love love Oliver. ❤🐴🐎❤

Oliver looks so healthy and well taken care of. I can never understand the auctioneer since he talks so fast. How do you know what the price is while the bidding keeps on happening for the one horse? Do they have an electric sign somewhere with the price? Curious minds want to know, Thank you.
PLEASE get Issac a Donkey someday!! That would be super fun to watch him raise and train and would be a nice companion since he lost his friend Colt. Maybe he can train him to work the pastures for planting or something someday!

Belgian mules are almost a breed of their own! As mules go draft mules are commonly Belgians! And the colour is generally blonde! FYI. My Appaloosa molly mule was placed in many endurance rides......you could feel her spots, but she was pure black!

As a small child my best babysitter was a Clydesdale Quarterhorse cross named Coaley. I would sling my book bag at the porch as I headed for the coral after school every day. We’d explore for an hour or two , then head for a drink and a nap under a shade tree. I slept on his back. His only rein was a halter rope. He was the best horse

Best of luck with your saddle training with Oliver. I sure hope that the gentleman can give you instruction and/or lessons to speed up your learning curve with all the driving harness equipment and the best technique. Oliver looks so good now, I cant't wait to see him in harness where he can really show his strength and his smarts.
