I feel like the overseer's first practice test where she deals with a water problem is some sort of reference to fallout 1 vault 13.
Yeah its kinda really neat cuz fallout 76 is a lot more like 1 than 4 to be honest

Hey Ox, I think I know why you get access when the Overseer doesn't.
At the beginning of the video Professor-Bot says he has 'something he needs help with.' I think the idea is he is giving the player character special access to the restricted section in return for you helping him 'complete his programming' by graduating more people. The overseer couldn't help because she had already graduated.
In other words, I think it's an implied trade: You help him complete his programming (graduate students) he gives you special access to the restricted section. Being a graduate has nothing to do with it, it's just your part of the trade. You are right though, it could have been spelled out better . . . but the less I have to hear the grating, slow, protectron voice the better so I'm not complaining.

I thought that was very clear -- that Prof Bot gave access so that he could have a graduate.
@@johnw8578 Exactly. It was just part of the trade. We wanted access, he wanted to graduate a student. The Overseer herself couldn’t do anything because presumably that wasn’t a right for the graduates, otherwise she would’ve simply escorted us to the restricted area.
I think the Protect Bot’s voice is funny. And whenever they say “brand” names like “Mr. Handy” or “Nuka World,” it’s in a smoother, different tone.
Security chief Robinson is the voice actor for Nick Valentine his name is Stephen Russell. Though he's done voice acting for many Bethesda games stretching back to Thief, he's done every voice for all me Handy's and even codsworth. He's done a voice in dishonored but he's done alot of B movies and a small roll in Ghost of Girlfriends Past. Pretty cool huh? 😎

I should have been a bit clearer, I meant I'd like to wear that outfit ingame. ;) As a Brit, it wouldn't be quite right for me to wear it personally. Still it would look good on my character. So I'm inferring from Castiel's comment that it's an atomic shop outfit that is no longer available? Shame.

It's not that you earn MORE authority to access the area. It's just that Professor Bot is willing to make a deal to satisfy its programming. Or, that it was holding onto that little bit of power in order to scratch that itch.

He probably will after doing 76. He has talked about still having to do a story of fallout 4 series for a while now.

He can’t because you will have to side with ether railroad, brotherhood, minutemen, etc.. that would be 3/4 or 5 play throughs instead of one

To answer your question at 28:24 it's because he agreed to give you access if you graduated. He was able to invent a Overseer scenario, he could probably alter his own dialogue and grant permissions like that. Seemed obvious.
I like how the simulation in this would have been useful to know for the sole survivor in the vault 118 murders in far harbour

I talked to Loris then Brass, then convinced Loris to turn himself in do to guilt. So it appears you missed an ending when counting. Because I didn't look at the Overseer's terminal nor traveled to the reactor room. Just convinced Loris that he felt guilty for trapping the dude in the quarantined area.

I haven't commented in a while but I'm glad you're still making fallout content even though it might be a game not many fans appreciate you are giving this game a chance instead of ignoring it like alot of fallout fans now and I'm glad you gave this game a chance its a decent game

So I don’t think that the fact that you’re a graduate that gives you the authority to enter the restricted area, The professor can now grant entrance to any one he wants to, but he just wanted to graduate someone so he let you in because you helped him fulfill its primary function

I'm happy to find this video. When I did this quest, I found the holotape before I found the Overseer. So right at the start I had the option to give the holotape to the security chief and I missed out on a lot of interesting encounters it seems.

At 4:14 Professor Bot says he needs graduates and at 5:19 he says producing graduates is the very foundation of his purpose. So he exchanged your graduation for the access to the restricted wing.

Hi Oxhorn, Just wanted to tell you that I love your whole series about Fallout New Vegas, Especially their unique Intros.
I also had the bug that didn't allow the brass ending.
As to your confusion at the end, Professor Bot basically struck a deal with the overseer and the player to allow them in if the player graduates, because the bots directive is to produce graduates

Hey Oxhorn! Would you care to do me a huge favor?! I am currently still playing Fallout 4, and I want to equip my companions with the best legendary armour. The trouble is, I'm not sure if they receive all the benefits. I've googled my life away and can't find a definitive answer. If you could do a bit of research, I would greatly appreciate it. Perhaps have Piper fight some ghouls with regular base armour and no weapons, and see how long she lasts. Then equip her with ghoul slayer armour of the same grade and see if she lasts longer. I'd do it myself but I don't have access to console commands as I'm on PS4. But I'm sure many others would appreciate an answer as well. Thank you, sir.

The magic damage with shotguns is well documented on various channels... search for magic shotgun angry turtle and you will get a full explanation on what works and what doesn't :)
