The guy losing his shit probably is like me, remembers the Chaos AD tour, and saw the original line up of Sepultura play it live. I gotta say, I lost my shit watching this just due to memory overload.
Sepultura never got the recognition they deserved.
I went to two of their concerts in the 90's They were loved man, trust me.
They sold so far 20M albums worldwide... I think that's recognition

The moment when you realize that they play it better than the current Sepultura-lineup. Don't get me wrong: I love "new" Sepultura (have been to two concerts in 2022), but Joe's voice is far better for this than Derrick's. Plus they have two guitars, which Sepultura hasn't...

I'm from Mauritius, living in Australia now, and I will always be a die hard SEPULTURA fan. We even used to play Desperate cry, Dead embryonic cells, Refuse/resist back then in Mauritius. Sepultura is very well known and acclaimed in Mauritius. And lets not forget Angra too.
Damn as much as I love Gojira, I'd actually pay to see them play a whole set of Sepultura covers. They sound legit.

I revist this video often. I love Gojira, I love Metallica, and I love Sepultura. Most of all I love Jeff's infectious enthusiasm. His growl was pretty bad ass too. To everyone reading this... I hope you have a day like Jeff someday soon. We all deserve it! Stay stong, stay metal! 🤘

Not hard as far as technique is concerned, but the intensity and the fact that it is a very iconic drum hook makes it very fun to play, especially if done correctly and not a simplified version or playing too soft
It's not so tricky. What's great about it is writing it. The whole Chaos AD is drum masterpiece. No superspeed anymore but so great stuff using great tom and tom-kick progressions with some unusual tempo considering the style.
We don't imagine the dimension of the influence of Igor's drumming in so many metal bands ever since.
