I've watched this and other Brett Kidding clips multiple times, and still laugh out loud. In one interview Brett says his horse has as much fun with the comic antics as he does. And the horse knows what's coming when Tristan puts on his Brett costume. Nonetheless, these performances take planning and practice. Hats off to Tristan/Brett!

I so appreciate this. Thirty years ago, I wish I had known these tactics for my off-the-track thoroughbred, who was trailer shy. I have to plead guilty to using several of the poor methods of trying to get him on the trailer that you demonstrated here: the broom, the lounge line, the shoving, the treats. None worked. I loved my horse, and I was reduced to tears each time, so I had to choose between getting rid of him or just stop trying to take him anywhere. I gave up trailering him for three years. Then someone who knew better than me taught me some pressure and release. What a revelation. Thank you for having a sense of humor about a topic that is emotionally very fraught.

I have shared this video soooo many times now and qhwn people ask me how im getting on with a horse who is having trouble trailer loading, i usually reply 'well we haven't quite got to the fuck off stage yet'!! What a great way Tristan uses to make a point 👏
