Show off, brimed it the other day and range leaving petrol station said 143 miles haha. Range warning light comes on before I even hit 1/4 tank I swear 80% of the fuel goes on generating that glorious sound! To be fair the big V8 at 70mph is barely above tickover and does 26-28mph, just around town start stop and wanting to hear that exhaust I'm normally in single digits mpg. Best car I've owned and I have had m3s , 911s etc, semi understated, comfortable, quiet when crusing, then sounds like nothing else with endless tyre shredding torque and more character than Any other car (that character is a psychopath with a drinking probl6 who wants to kill you but still you can't help but love it) :)
I did wonder if you’d manage to go the whole film without a bit of acceleration, just the once on the motorway is showing extreme restraint! Well done 😝💪🏼 Definitely more efficient on this trip than your last Scotland trip 🤗
Great video. Thank you. I'm subscribed. It is a thirsty car. But that is not gonna change my mind. I will buy one for myself soon as my insurance goes down 😂
The only real downside to the w204 C class is that all variants share the same size fuel tank (60 litres) regardless of engine size. So the C63 only has a 60L tank.. meaning it’s around £105 from empty at current rates.
I’ve have a big powerful diesel and drive it without thought and get 36 mpg combined. I would hate to own a a fast car and have to drive it like your video.
I can get 28mpg out of mine a few times on a good run, I’ve had the coffee cup warning when driving late at night it beeps a few times at you and tells you to have a break
I wonder if it just works on a timer? Don’t believe there to be any sensors (other than PDC) on the front of the car. Does yours have lane departure assist?
@@CarThought mine doesn’t have lane departure sensors, it takes so many feeds of data into consideration such as driving time, time of day/night, steering inputs such as sharp movements after a long spell of non, your car looks and sounds awesome by the way
280 - 300 miles?! I’m lucky if I get 190 from mine, sound is expensive 😂

Anyone fancy a European version of this challenge? 🤔
Eastern European :) cool video, came here for Miata content, stayed for new adventures
I’ve done 1 tank to amsterdam in my c63. France Belgium and Holland. 3 countries haha if you include uk then 4
This car and the C63s V8 bi-turbo are the greatest vehicles ever made,no one can convince me otherwise
Great video and a beautiful singing voice to match ❤️
I'm so tempted by this car,.....after we've sold the house that is; beginning to love it.
I hit 34 mpg in my c63 507, but I was driving like a 90 year old
Absolutely love the intro graphic!
That’s awesome.
If you’d have backed it off to between 56 and 62 you’d have been into the 30s mpg.
works. Drove from about mid west germany to London UK on one tank with about 60 miles left
The Germans who built this thing must be like WAAAT 300 MILES WE NEED A 12 LITRE V12 FOR THE NEXT C63 ASS ITS TOO ECONOMICAL !!!
Haha! Challenge accepted when they do!

Honestly that was the only one! 😂

Such a great video!
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙏🤟
Thanks for the video. Lovely car. Lovely weather.
Thanks! It was a good day to do it!
man you gotta have a p31 or p30 when owning a 500 HP rear wheel drive car. Especially need the LSD option if p31. p30 came with LSD.
The Swiss Alps would be a good drive.
Lots of hills might be bad for fuel economy though!
How many litres did it take to fill back up?
Honestly didn’t count it to be honest, I put 2x 5L portable tanks in and then probably 45+ litres on top of that!
Did you drive off then go back for the camera?
Just left it there 🤷♂️
Why don’t you use 99 octane Esso fuel it’s just as good as Shell if not better
I do when I’m near one! And momentum if that’s all that’s about 🤘
@@CarThought I have never tried the Tesco 99 octane in my RS Audi or Mazda mx5
How tall are you ? I’m 6’3 looking to get one
Right around 6’2”, mostly leg. 👍
Lol best I could do last summer with my 6,2l CLS63 while traveling in baltics was like 350km / full tank 😁
Right foot has a lot to do with it! 😂
This is exactly what I needed ...I get an idea of how the fuel economy really works in this car.
No problem! It’s a fun car to drive slowly haha
RIP when a full tank for my M5 would be circa £80. Would guess your C63 needing at least £120/130 for a full tank these days?

mine gets like 180 miles per tank lol
It’s a 118i mate there’s no need for that 🤣🤣
Anybody else miss the mx5?
No - theres like 100 videos of mx5s, it’s nice to have something different 😂😂
