Bastion isn't easy: he is simple. Shoot, shoot some more, shoot a grenade. But like any hero in OW2, you require a solid knowlege of the game (positioning, cooldowns etc.) to be able to climb high.
@@TheWorldTurntle Playing widowmaker is simple. Click on their head. It is not very easy. Lifting a boulder is simple: Just move it from its position to one slightly higher. Not necessarily easy.
@@matthewrayner571this is true. Bastion kind of boils down to shoot and shoot some more, very SIMPLE. But getting down to it he isn’t EASY. Like all hero’s, positioning is very important. However due to his massive hitbox and “weak” count form this is exacerbated to a high level. Additionally, this character relies on heavy tracking. With the minimum this is that hard. But with the pinpoint, zero recoil rifle against fast moving targets, this is much harder to do. Additionally, bastion relies on CDs, something you have to time correctly and then protect yourself after they are gone. All this combined makes this character SIMPLE not EASY. There’s also lots of other things on top of this so, yeah.
Hes not for everyone but the simplicity of bastion really makes you get creative, like herloaf says. He might be a caricature but I like the little guy.
Using turret form just to scare people back is something I don’t do enough of. It was cool to see how herloaf used 2 early turrets to make space for the hog to walk up, now hog makes space for herloaf to take an angle with his third turret, which is the one that actually gets kills
Hey Spilo, I just wanna say that I really appreciate your uploads bc Im not usually able to catch streams. Having all of this informational content for free is honestly so amazing. Keep it up, brother :)
I play on console and it causes an issue for me with tapshooting vs holding down the trigger because it feels very awkward to spam the trigger vs spamming m1 on a mouse. I can see how especially on heroes like zen or other projectile this would help a lot though.
What I like to do for sigma are 2 things. Wait for his back to be turned and mow him down from a flank position. Or wait for his shield to be broken so I can burn through his grasp, I just keep shooting. My issue is when he pulls out shield after grasp. I dunno if that what you're supposed to do, but it's what I always end up doing.
Big thanks to HERLOAF! Check him out:

insanely helpful as a bastion main thank you
I really wish you made a video, that just explained every concept in Overwatch as straightforward as possible.
So ready to watch this, been needing one of these for bastion. Thanks for everything you do spilo, best educational content for ow on yt

I feel u as a fellow console player but its good to practice
If you rebind shooting to r1 instead of r2 it feels better (or get a controller with short throw triggers)
Unrelated to the video but just finished the group up episode and stylosa calling speelo made me crack up
The incidental hero
Bastion: hold down the fire button until they quit like the little beaches they are
