If there's one thing consistent about the Queen, it's her skincare routine.
I’m shocked her servants didn’t do it for her
I see one reply but it’s not showing. I wonder what was commented
🤣
Anyone know what products she used?
@@vintagecherriesI believe it was Clarins
I like how when they finally had it out she told him yes it would have been easier marrying porty but I chose you.
I liked when she told him I've only loved one can you say the same. One of my favorite scenes.
Oh, yes. One of the annual "Phillip absolutely, regularly cheats on the Queen but we're too chickenshit to say that aloud" episodes.
Why do we always assume that the pair didn’t have an understand and/or open relationship? Why were we so determined to believe that our Queen was regularly getting cucked
@@billydeeuk What about what, it has Philip hinting about Lord Porchester? We all have heard the rumors that were around in 1960. I am not so sure they had an understanding (open marriage) or if she may have cheated on him, but after the way he openly disrespected her then I suspect he deserved it. Whether any of it is true or not, we know he turned into a real cad after her father died. He resented playing second fiddle to "the queen."
The queen was foolish to not cheat on him back. She was foolish to not tell Phillip that if he cheats on her again he will divorce him take his crown and titles etc.
@@WynnWynn-gl3fk The Head of the Church of England would not have divorced their spouse. Not in those days. And certainly not Elizabeth - her father was put on the throne because of the scandal of one divorce (Wallis Simpson divorcing and wanting to marry King Edward) and she had also denied her sister permission to marry the person she loved as he was a divorcee. In later years, she was also known to be saddened her childrens’ divorces and for a long time refused to be seen publicly with Camilla or grant Charles permission to marry her. Elizabeth was a committed Christian and took her role as Defender Of The Faith very seriously. In the period that this episode is portraying, divorce was also still a social taboo
@@billydeeuk still the queen should have reminded him that she was queen and cheated on him and forbid him to do more and have the power to do so.
Probably the dirtiest conversation The Queen ever had
I like to think the duke never actually cheated, but entertained the thought to cope.
I like to think… but maybe that’s wishful thinking.
think all you want but it won’t make it so 😕
He cheated alright
You're the girl that gets cheated on and makes excuses for him. Bless your heart
The Doctor's flirting with the Queen.
listen again - he wasn’t flirting - he was being snarky about her friendship with Porchy - The Doctor and little Dorrit / Anne Boleyn 🇨🇦🙏
Attempting to understand wtf matt smith is saying without netflix's closed captions is like trying to decrypt the german enigma.
😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😆👍🏼
Once you hear him say "Heil Hitler" the rest is easy to understand.
it wasnt that hard. Every message ended in "Hail Hitler" Once they realised that, they cracked the code.
They just never revealed they broke it for ages because, if they revealed too soon, the nazi's would change the code. So the British had to keep mum on the fact, and only act when the time was right, even if that meant tens of thousands died in bombing runs.
And that was British Recieved Pronunciation, the way toffs all used to speak.
It's funny, I find it (RP) very easy to understand. I did have to look up palaver though. Try Cockney rhyming slang sometime, or Kerry English.
Queen : And in the meantime I will ask if i can get you a direct line 😉😇
Porche : to you 😳😯
Queen :yes to me .why or is anyone else you wanted to speak here 😠😞🥺
(I mean really 😲😲😲😲😲😲😲 )
Prince philip : i heard an rumour that he had so many affairs an entire generation of aristocrats was related to him ....high foreheads everywhere 😎😎😎.
The crown series dialogue writer deserves an award for talking of affairs (don't know whether it is true or not ) very boldly with 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥dialogues
Claire Foy is brilliant!
I had a bit of crush while watching S1. She was incredibly splendid as the Queen.
@@timothyt0102lol, who didn't?
Preach!🙌🏼
They are even beautiful in the dark…in the rain!

When Philip made the comment "high foreheads everywhere" - did that mean he listened in on the Queen's conversation with Porchey?
I think it's just an in-joke
What was her usual skincare routine products??? I need to know 😆
In this time period, a daily skincare routine was usually just limited to using cold cream to remove makeup and then washing your face with soap (which seems to be what she is doing). I believe that Pears soap use to be the standard.
@@patadams7282the Queen Morher used Knight's Castile soap.
She just had beautiful skin to start with. As Philip told a friend, "she's like that all over."
1:42 "horse hump" 💀
This is hilarious... 😅 Horse pimping
Speaking of affairs…
If it really happened then Philips very well deserves this . Queen beared a lot of heartbreak , cheated by the most loved person for whom she fights the whole family and go against everyone wish of not marrying him and married the guy .and in the end he cheated her multiple times . But I don't think queen do that .
In the series of Edwardvii the same person played Queen Victoria. Annette Crosbie from young to old. But Bertie the b
Prince of Wales was played by several actors ending up with Timothy West. Princess Alexandra was played by two actresses.
I love that series! It’s absolutely sublime! However, what’s it to do with this scene?
What series is it? Also where can you watch it? ☺️

I wonder if they will cover his death it was the same day as 911
Prince Philip did not die in 2001.
Porchy did
They did

I truly miss this show, was mega hooked. But it literally turned my stomach when they introduced the She Wolf and I had to stop watching. Ive missed so much, but i just cant bring myself to watch.

Palaver ... a fuss; specifically unnecessary fuss..
Palaver.
I find it interesting that English people would use the phrase top dollar to mean best price. Is that what they might actually say, or was this just written that way for the American audience?
That sounds like a good question for Lawrence over on the YT channel Lost in the Pond where he often delves into English and American speech differences.
In this episode they were talking about selling the horse to compete in the American market in some American tournament, while it was still young and in demand. So that's probably why the usage of dollar. The dialogue in the Crown, especially in the early seasons, is very British. They were definitely not trying to Americanize it.
I don't understand why they just didn't have the first season cast act out the entire series, instead of hiring other actors of different ages. They could have just put make up on the younger cast & trained them how to act at that certain older ages.
The different cast sucks, the first & original cast were fun to watch.
You’re tripping. Olivia Coleman did a wonderful job as the Queen
Seriously??? Olivia Colman, Tobias Menzes and Helena Bonham-Carter were stellar.
The cast doesn't suck. You just don't like them. That's a different thing.
@roosaheikkinen8468 Don't tell me what I like or don't like, you don't know me. You just can't handle an OPINION on social media.

£400 a cover? I wonder how much Philip would command...
This Show is a good indication why the Brits need to abolish the Monarchy for good! The Govt. keeps it alive solely as a Tourist attraction.
If that’s so then why don’t we abolish the Japanese monarchy, swedens monarchy, Spain, Thailand’s and live under a communist republic? You stupid sod! God bless the king!
Oh thanks much, I'll notify them of your opinion right away.
Lmao no. We're keeping it
Porchey Prince Andrew's real father , allegedly
This is hilarious! However, it is far from the truth. It is a perfect example of misinformation for the masses. Poor people.
That’s why it’s a drama and not a documentary
