I also recommend Dodging Disbandment by Mera. It came out before the first full album but it's sort of old but it gives a really good idea of their background and the struggles they've gone through in the industry.
Oh also - I never see people recommend it but insomnicsy also has a “chemistry” series that showcases all the members dynamics with each other. Something I love about DC is how genuinely close they all are to each other and it’s very cute/endearing if you are interested to see how they get along.
Handong & Siyeon are actually my ult biases in whole kpop! For Handong, it's just she reminds so much of myself, since she's always been the more shy & quiet member, then she decided to work on her confidence & she became even more charming to me! + I really love her voice tone, it's very unique! For Siyeon, I love her work ethics & how passionate she is & the way she conveys her emotions through singing is beyond beautiful! And I adore her relationship with the members, she's very reliable & caring! But honestly the whole grp is sth else! They're by far the most genuine, hard working, with the best friendship kpop grp I've ever seen They've been through A LOT, yet they never gave up on their dream & that made their bond grow even stronger! It's very admirable! I love & respect them to bits!🤍
The 2020 version has some of the same clips, but it also has some different clips and it has some different categories then 2021 and the sections in the videos are longer since there are fewer. It also has a “this is Dreamcatcher” video as 2021 is just the members. Dreamcatcher as a mess, montages, being relatable idols.. Insomnicy has so many things that are so amusing. Each member has an animal. JiU- rabbit. Adorable sunshine that loves food SuA- chick/crowtit, small and loud Siyeon- wolf. Her favorite animal. And she has that wolf gaze and killer charisma on stage Handong- cat, elegant and cool Yoohyeon- puppy. Cute, clumsy and makes dog noises (Siyeon and her love to imitate animals) Dami- panda. Calm (most of the time), loves pandas, likes to read. Gahyeon- fox. Energetic and has that fox smile. Unnie line- Jiu, SuA, Siyeon Makane line- Yoohyeon, Dami, Gahyeon… Handong too as she is right in the middle. Year younger then Siyeon and a year older then ‘97 line. Dami has her own room in the dorm- she use to share with JiU and Siyeon. Jiu and Siyeon are still roommates. Yoohyeon and SuA are roommates. Handong and Gahyeon are roommates. These have been since Minx days and DC debut. If you love talented and chaos, you will also love Mamamoo. Moonbyul is very girl crush.. has some similarities to Dami with rapping, singing and dance. Wheein reminds me of Yoohyeon as they are the puppies of their groups. Solar is the leader and also the rabbit. Moonbyul is the hamster. Mamamoo does their own thing like Dreamcatcher does their own thing. I only Stan MAMAMOO and Dreamcatcher for girl groups and my boy group is Monsta X.
I switched biases like several times throughout the years. Eventually realized that it's pointless to have one lol. That being said if i were to pick one at the moment it would be Jiu because: 1. She seems to be so full of love and kindness it's insane. From what we've seen she seems to have grown up in a very loving home, like there was that interview thing where they have idols call their parents and siblings, and Jiu's conversations with her brother and mom were so soft i'd recommend to check those vids out. 2. Her soft voice contrasting with lower tones in the group is so good and is my favourite thing about DC songs. For example, her "panic in the city" after dami's part in "Wind blows" had a chokehold on somnias during "Odd eye" come back. And i personally loooove her opening the first chorus of "Whistle". It hits different imo. 3. Her corny jokes actually never miss.

imo I don't think they need to watch it cause it's from 2 years ago and some things changed (like Dongie's confidence) and the facts are almost the same in both versions (of course if they want to watch it they should, it's just a suggestion). I think it's better if they do some funny videos (from our dear Insomnicsy ofc)
My bias is Yoohyeon, she is beautiful, with a beautiful voice, she is intelligent, lovely, hardworking, kind, funny and super sweet. She is always improving herself and it's a role model to never give up and keep working hard to achieve what you want. She is always checking on everybady if they are ok, and it's a loyal friend. There's a story behind JiU writting the song "Alldaylong", it was inspired on a back hug Yoohyeon give her one time she was feeling down. She said to Jiu that if she was in a bad mood then her too and that people on a bad mood should hug each other so she hugged her. She is the most precious girl in the universe ♥
You've only seen the tip of the iceberg. You can literally take anything from insomnicsy's channel and it will have this effect on you. The Dreamcatcher's Chemistry Series and the Introducing Series are great. Have fun!

It's always been Sua for me, since the day I discovered them in 2018. And I've never faltered in my devotion. As for why...she can do literally ANYTHING. She's the group's all-rounder. She was their de facto second rapper until she ceded that position to Gahyeon so she could focus on her singing. I'd highly recommend the cover of I Love You by Jiu, Sua and Siyeon. Their harmonies in that cover are exquisite and it shows how good all three of them are.
Mera's Dodging Disbandment video is a great history catch up. These ladies have been through so much and just kept going. They love Insomnia and put so much effort into showing it. Red Sun was the first song/video I saw from Deukae. Dami kicked me in the chest and took my breath away. Once I got to know them, I love them all but Siyeon is my ult. Stunningly beautiful, sweet, goofy, expressive. When she sings and performs she can make my heart race one minute and calm it the next. All of Deukae put their heart and souls into their music. So like many I've got a bias and 6 wreckers and I would throw hands in an instant for any one of them lol. Anyway, another great reaction, looking forward to more!!
Yoohyeon, my favorite idol period. Her voice is always the stand out for me even though I love everyone’s voice in Dreamcatcher. You guys should check out her cover of Secret Love Song. Brings tears to my eyes every time I watch it.
My bias is JiU. She is like a sunshine. I am in love with her smile. She is also caring and resourceful person. No one loves Dreamcatcher and members as much as she does.

It's more about the group's history than the members. After that, you're all free to watch whatever next :D I think it's a very crucial video as you'll get a gist to why some InSomnias dislike Mnet and why their first win is so fricking satisfying
I highly recommend checking out their B-sides and covers before choosing bias. My ultimate bias is Sua, and as much as I like "this is" series it didn't even come close to revealing her personality besides her legendary loudness and laugh, much less her as a great dancer and one of the best vocalists in the group.
Your reaction to singing Dami was pure gold. If you want to hear more of her beautiful singing voice I recommend her cover of "Rockabye" or song she wrote for her dog "Butterfly". She also has some pretty vocal parts in Dreamcatcher's b-sides like "Jazzbar" or "And there was no one left"
I have been an insomnia for 2 years now, and I still haven't been able to confirm 1 bias. Coincidentally, the 2 that I have narrowed it down to is also Jiu and Dami. Jiu : Just seems like such a wholesome ray of sunshine. Dad jokes are a bonus not a minus and I will fight anyone who says otherwise. She just seems like a person you can trust with anything. I could ask her to protect my whole life savings and I wouldn't worry about anything happening to it because she would never do anything wrong I swear. On stage; she has a very alluring and elegant look to the way she dances that is unique and captivating. Dami : Her personality is similar to mine as a super chill person. Except she has more talent in her pinky toe than I do in my whole body. Also she is way hotter than me. But otherwise we are basically the same! I love the way she cares for people in a low-key manner. She will help you without ever telling you and you will never even know about it. That shows that she is doing it purely out of the goodness of her heart rather than looking for external validation or something. Also smart and humble people are like SUPER hot, so yeah. On stage: her voice, rapping ability, dancing, and stage presence are all top tier. Anytime you show someone Dreamcatcher they WILL ask "who is that rapping? She is so cool". It really doesn't need much explanation to know she a beast performer.
My bias is Yoohyeon - there is so much I could say about why but she’s just so genuine, personable and of course multi-talented (as they all are). Wrecker is Jiu/Dami… but really depends on the day lol. You are getting into Dreamcatcher at a good time - they keep teasing their next album so I highly suspect the comeback in the near future! It started off as Dami being my bias. She hooked me in BOCA. Then is changed to her being my let bias and the rest of the members are my wreckers. Especially with their concerts. They just killed me with No Dot and their outfits and energy. So happy you guys are getting into them. Love your reaction videos because it is taking me back to when I first got into them which was literally like three month ago and I have fallen so hard for them. Insomicy has amazing edits and I think you guys should watch all of their videos but definitely watch Dreamcatcher Mind, self made mvs, and their kdrama parody (2 videos). Also get used to the suits and glasses because that is a very common thing with them. Especially suits. Those kill me.
My bias is Siyeon, I think it started with her stage presence that caught my eye before I knew anything about them, but what really made her my bias was her personality and how she always made me laugh (especially when combined with sua💀) plus I got into them during scream era and her black hair with those suit outfits absolutely wrecked me 😭

And on the group being perfect: there are some disadvantages they experience coming form a small company and DCC is by no means perfect, but there are three major advantages they have (other than the fact that they're amazing vocalists, dancers, and performers): 1. they were created for live performance--it's what the dcc ceo was looking to do with a girl group--and it shows; they're insanely good live, and they thrive on it. They go hard, but have the vocals, choreo chops, stage presence, and chemisty with each other and their fans to back up the energy so their concerts are not only hyped up but also professionally perfromed. 2. they're not a self-produced group, and only a few of the member have writing credits, but they do have a lot of input on creative direction, esp. what they wear & how they approach their performances. 3. they are allowed to be themselves as much as any kpop idol can be themselves in public, including the fact that Siyeon, Dami, and Yoohyeon don't cover up their tattoos (unless a broadcast company insists--the company doesn't make them do it).
dami is my ult of ult biases. she radiates talent. and seeing her in person? insane. she OOZES charisma. i like how she's an introvert but she's also one of the few members in the group with the most connections. she's one of the aces of the group also, imo. she strived to get better at her singing and she has. she's a great songwriter and composer. she even works on yoohyeon's special clips with her (the production). afaik she also helped yoohyeon with her solo, as well. she's just such a one in a million talent and she's so interesting. she's smart and funny and she comes off as reserved but i'd argue that she's the most compassionate. jiu is the leader but i think dami is the one who allows jiu to rest and rely on her. she's also a dangerous flirt. you should see some of the stuff and stories fans have when they've met/talked to her. insane. she's just. so. ugh.
OH MY GOODNESS YES YES YES!! Part two heck yes I am so glad that you guys reacted to these, now you need to check out the first ones and also the This Is Dreamcatcher ones because they are AMAZING (and I'm pretty sure you'll see some Gaycatcher in there, and no it's not just skinship if you really look at it because there are sometimes where they try to hide it!) Soooooooooo, after hours of dc content and the 5th rewatch of the This is ___ series I can finally say, that Yoohyeon is my bias. She is so adorable and really beautiful. She has an insane voice, is about as clumsy as me and talented for real. She is so open-minded I recall the interview, where she said her ideal type is a hardworking someone. The interviewer confirmed: "Yoohyeon likes hardworking men" And she just said "I said hardworking people, all kinds of people" Bias status absolutely deserved.

My bias is JiU and it has been from the start. 1. Her personality is just **amazing** She is literally on loan from heaven. She's the sweetest and most caring person I've ever seen. Her love for Dreamcatcher and insomnia transcends the screen and the group is as amazing as they are bc she's the glue that holds them all together. When you get a chance to see them live you'll see this for yourself. This woman just radiates pure love and happiness. 2. Her dad jokes are the best and even when no one reacts she laughs her butt off anyway. She never stops! It also apparently runs in the family bc her dad does the same 😂 3. Her dance/vocal skills are always on point and so incredibly stable. She is so underrated in these areas bc most ppl always talk about her visuals but she's a lead dancer and lead vocalist for a reason and her vocal power when she's allowed to showcase it more is very addictive to listen to (Wind Blows, Whistle, Starlight are so memorable bc of her parts) 4. She is such a weird dork in the most endearing way and so relatable. She loves food, like really LOVES it. You can just whisper it to her ear and she'll wake up and jump out of bed to get ready for a meal. She'll randomly visit a theater to get popcorn bc she's craving it or walk and take a subway into the city just to buy a bag of chocolate covered chips 😭
The good news is now you have 7 more of these you can watch, plus the This Is Dreamcatcher video. My bias? Well, that's kind of a long story. As usual, I went through the first impression, second impression and so on phase. First it was Dami because in Piri she just crushed me. Second it was, well, let's just say that I went through most of the group until I decided to give up and just be OT7. Then one day, about a year or so in, after watching tons of comp videos, live chat videos and so on, I noticed that I was paying a lot more attention to Yoohyeon. I mean a LOT. As the saying goes, you don't pick your bias, your bias picks you and for reasons that I really can't put my finger on, Yoohyeon picked me. But... At any given moment any (and all) of the other members can wreck the hell out of me. If I were to bias rank them on a scale of 1 to 10, Yoohyeon would be a 10 and the rest of the group would all be 9.5's. This is why I've officially (unofficially) renamed the group 'Yoohyeon and the Six Wreckers'.
WELCOME TO THE DREAMWORLD :)))) We love to see Dreamcatcher getting some love. As far as recommendations go: 1. Definitely the self-made MVs (available for Curse of the Spider, July 7th, Sahara, Break the Wall, Poison Love, maybe some others I forgot). If you're up for it you can definitely marathon the Nightmare arc, which was their first storyline (Chase Me, Good Night, Fly High, You and I, What, Piri, & depending on who you ask, Breaking Out). 2. B-sides. As many as possible, but my faves are Full Moon (their fan-dedicated single), Black or White, In the Frozen, & Over the Sky. 3. Covers, especially stages. You guys saw snippets of Bang Bang Bang and My House, definitely catch those (in your own time even if TH-cam strikes them), and I'd also pitch the Abracadabra relay dance, the Taki Taki cover, Sua x Dami's Havana cover, Yoohyeon x Dami's Baby Don't Stop stage, Jiu x Dami's Full Moon stage, and Jiu x Handong's Troublemaker stage for good measure. Past that, there's enough content in covers alone on their group & company channels to keep you sorted for... a while. 3A. The Sua x Siyeon x Dami x Gahyeon Blue Moon cover. This one gets its own number cos not enough people seem aware of it and it has some of the best vocals from all involved (& definitely not a sick-ass Dami rap *wink wink*). 4. Their Apocalypse: Save Us album (the one MAISON's the title track of) has member singles, and they've been releasing the MVs for them --- at time of this comment, Yoohyeon's MV is the only one not out. 5. Other people have mentioned the Dodging DIsbandment "group history" video by mera, I'm gonna second that because it'll help a lot with understanding their fight for recognition (let me reiterate, MAISON was their first music show win. Ever.). And closing with a group you may like to add to your roster in the future: Rolling Quartz. If no one's brought them up yet, 3 words: K-rock Girl Band. Debuted 2020 with "Blaze", they have other stuff up since, and they've covered Dreamcatcher's "Good Night" as well, which might be a nice segue. When i started getting into dreamcatcher Dami was the one i clung to for awhile, but after really learning about all of them i think Jiu came out on top. Theres just something about her being this corny little goofball whos so sweet and caring about everyone else while also having an incredible stage presence. I think Dami is still not far behind though thanks to just being super relatable, like emotionally i can really relate to Dami a lot and it just makes me really appreciate her because i can see exactly where her kindness comes from and how everyone else feels about her, not just the members but the dancers and other staff you can tell just love Dami because shes so reliable. Handong gets to be an honorable mention for being the funniest member
I say my bias is unnie line 'cause I can't choose between the three... then the maknae line comes in to wreck. So I'll just talk about unnie line or we'll be here all day. JiU: The sweetest person on the planet. Giving, caring, compassionate. I credit JiU as a leader for a lot of the group's dynamic -- which is so full of love and affection. JiU is a warm hug personified. Also, Minji noises are the cutest and so is her dog, Cherry (who she wrote a song about: Cherry - Real Miracle). SuA: Like you said, SuA is a comedian. The group wouldn't be the same without her. We would miss out on a lot of chaos and hilariousness. She's very extroverted and warm. They say 'she has a lot of love', and she's definitely the most physically affectionate person by a long shot - all over the others all the time (and not just punching them). She's not called the 'butt hunter' for nothing. She has a ton of idol friends because she makes everyone feel seen. She loves playing with Insomnia as much as she loves playing with her members. She's also a damn amazing dancer/choreographer, and she knows she's the best at sexy dances. Also there's something about the way that she raps that kills me (Good Night, BEcause, No Dot) Siyeon: I fell in love with Siyeon after watching "Siyeon.exe stopped working" followed by "Siyeon and Gahyeon's Chemistry" by insomnicsy. Siyeon's tendency to zone out, her utter shock and confusion at the smallest things, and unpredictable sense of humor juxtaposed with her insane rockstar energy makes her the most unique person in K-Pop IMO. Her voice is so soothing whenever she's on vlives by herself. Gentle, sweet, and silly. I love 'the wolf' side of her, and I love 'Singni' just as much. And also, damn, that voice... Def listen to that Overdose cover on V-1 to get even more of a taste for the rockstar in this woman.
yas more dreamcatcher!! there is so much content music wise and entertainment, you’d be surprised! and since you guys were so shocked to see dami sing in those snippets, that’s nothing. when you get around to bsides (also, i MUST mention siyeon and dami’s ost called shadow, it will knock your socks off) you’ll see just what a great vocalist she truly is (as well as the rest of the members. all of them could easily qualify as main/lead vocalist)
My bias is handong because of her voice tone and her personality is the one I can relate to. She is introverted, but when she is with the members, she becomes more comfortable
my ult bias is siyeon. i fell in love w her during fly high era and she has been making me go insane ever since. still sad i don't have a photocard of her yet, but since there's a new album on the horizon i'm def gunning for it. my bias wreckers would be the unnie line (jiu, sua, siyeon & handong) since i lean towards the older members in every group i've ever stanned. (2 groups only but jonghyun was IT for me really) i've gotten multiple of my friends into dreamcatcher simply by spam posting abt them and the first win music show win i was crying at work. it has been almost 5 years w these women and i'm so hopeful for 5 more.
my bias is Sua and i like everything about her, She can do everything, she can sing, she can rap, she can dance, she can choreograph dances, she write her song, she can paint, she do boxing, and she do rock climbing. The thing that i also like about her is that she put boundaries when to be serious and when to have fun and stuff. and Jiu and Handong is part of my bias line, Jiu is just the most precious human being on earth and i just love how down to earth she is. Handong there's just a something about her that i can't explain and she paints too. my bias wrecker will probably Dami in maison era, blue hair dami is just different, she's so adorable and so talented too

Gahyeon is my bias and is actually my ultimate bias out of all the groups I stan 🥺 she's just so smart, her stage presence is amazing, she has an amazing personality. She's not just the cute maknae ( she actually doesn't like being called cute) she's really good at math and she remembers the groups schedule really easily, and of course her smile make me so happy🥺🥺
I love them all honestly! They are all amazing and lovable. My bias though is SuA. She is the first one who caught my attention, I love her singing voice, her range, vocals, dance, and overall her personality. I find that her laughter always makes me smile, super contagious.
Siyeon is my bias, i love everything about her. She so sweet so kind so beautiful so weird such a baby i just feel like i need to protect her. Dami is cool stoic genius member of DC. Her rapping voice is very commanding and that girl can sing as well. Plus she looks gorgeous. Dreamcatcher is the DREAM.
Thanks for your DC reactions! ♥ I love every single member so much, but if I had to pick my biases: Dami - her raps are usually my favorite part of DC songs, and also she is the member I most relate to Gahyeon - for her visuals and her voice (talking, singing, rapping, love all of them) Jiu - she is my absolute favorite person, can't explain it, she just loves Insomnias so much and is such a bright human being 🥺💖 Oh also her laugh is my favorite But I'd like to also say my favorite things about the other members too: Yoohyeon - adorableness! She's the cutest member in my opinion, protect her at all cost. Yoohyeon and Jiu are my main biases, even thoughnow I'm OT7. Jiu caught my eye in the first mv I watched from them, which was Piri. I could tell she was the visual coz her beauty was insane for me. But Yoohyeon got me coz she sang a cover of Jungkook's Euphoria during a birthday event, and that put me onto her. After hearing her sing Secret Love Song though, that hooked me.

Welcome to the Dreamworld! You guys are going great so far. Since you're already done with the Dystopia trilogy MVs, the next I would suggest are the Nightmare series which span 6 Korean MVs and one Japanese MV. They go in the order: Chase Me Good Night Fly High (prequel to Chase Me) You & I What Piri (end of Nightmare series) Breaking Out (Japanese track with an alternative and widely accepted end to the Nightmare series) Chase Me was their debut track from 2017. So it would be sensible to start from the beginning since the storyline is connected.

My bias is Yoohyeon and my major bias wrecker is Siyeon. As to why, maybe Yoohyeon being like a "major character" on the nightmare series and also Deja Vu had something to do with it. Also, amazing vocals and also pretty and cute. Also, the clumsiness and then her smile its just ahkkkk!! And then we got Siyeon because again, vocal queen, although all of them are. Performance queen, she just gives a superb aura on stage when I watch videos. She's hella cool. She's also weird and gets a little lost at times (which is me LOL maybe I can relate) and lastly, she's a Libra! Like me! But to be fair, if InSomnias say they're all biaswreckers, *they're all biaswreckers*. They are all amazing in their own ways not only in personality but even with their talents that you can't not appreciate each one of them. They really are all amazing.

If i had to pick, my bias is JiYoo(Jiu and Yoohs ship name); Yoohyeon is my fav overall w Jiu being my bias wrecker but Dami and Siyeon have been creeping up lately. They are all amazing and so unique that's why i find it hard to have a bias in this group. But i can tell you what i like most for each member. Ji U- she is an angel; so precious, so positive Su A - full of energy the life of the party Siyeon - so weird in the best way and sooo flirty Han dong - so sarcastic and blunt Yoohyeon - a puppy; so adorable and her duality kills me Dami - calm and so smart/talented Gahyeon - how mature she can be, even tho she's the cute maknea They are all just amazing people, super talented and so hard working and the kind of person you would want as an "idol" a role model. Protect Dreamcatcher at all costs!!! I feel truly lucky to have found this group, these girls.
As many others have suggested, Dodging Disbandment and other Extreme Spots by Mera, will show you why Dreamcatcher have to work so hard to be recognized, and how they have been sabotaged by the Korean music industry for the only reason of being different.
My bias is SUA..she is an incredible dancer raper and singer..she is crazy and fun and i lovee her laugh so much... And I love her voice when i first heard dreamcatcher it was with the song because and scream and i remember that i was like who is this singing i love her voice and she became my bias pretty easy..she is amazing.. Gahyeon is my bias. Has been since 2019 when I discovered them. She is just so damn cute and has grown so much. I love all of them but she is my bias and borders ult status next to Solar from Mamamoo.

Oh also - I never see people recommend it but insomnicsy also has a “chemistry” series that showcases all the members dynamics with each other. Something I love about DC is how genuinely close they all are to each other and it’s very cute/endearing if you are interested to see how they get along.

myself, since she's always been the more shy & quiet member, then she decided to work on her confidence & she became even more charming to me! + I really love her voice tone, it's very unique!
For Siyeon, I love her work ethics & how passionate she is & the way she conveys her emotions through singing is beyond beautiful! And I adore her relationship with the members, she's very reliable & caring!
But honestly the whole grp is sth else! They're by far the most genuine, hard working, with the best friendship kpop grp I've ever seen They've been through A LOT, yet they never gave up on their dream & that made their bond grow even stronger! It's very admirable! I love & respect them to bits!🤍
The 2020 version has some of the same clips, but it also has some different clips and it has some different categories then 2021 and the sections in the videos are longer since there are fewer. It also has a “this is Dreamcatcher” video as 2021 is just the members.

Dami has her own room in the dorm- she use to share with JiU and Siyeon. Jiu and Siyeon are still roommates. Yoohyeon and SuA are roommates. Handong and Gahyeon are roommates. These have been since Minx days and DC debut.
If you love talented and chaos, you will also love Mamamoo. Moonbyul is very girl crush.. has some similarities to Dami with rapping, singing and dance. Wheein reminds me of Yoohyeon as they are the puppies of their groups. Solar is the leader and also the rabbit. Moonbyul is the hamster. Mamamoo does their own thing like Dreamcatcher does their own thing. I only Stan MAMAMOO and Dreamcatcher for girl groups and my boy group is Monsta X.

I switched biases like several times throughout the years. Eventually realized that it's pointless to have one lol.
That being said if i were to pick one at the moment it would be Jiu because:
1. She seems to be so full of love and kindness it's insane. From what we've seen she seems to have grown up in a very loving home, like there was that interview thing where they have idols call their parents and siblings, and Jiu's conversations with her brother and mom were so soft i'd recommend to check those vids out.
2. Her soft voice contrasting with lower tones in the group is so good and is my favourite thing about DC songs. For example, her "panic in the city" after dami's part in "Wind blows" had a chokehold on somnias during "Odd eye" come back. And i personally loooove her opening the first chorus of "Whistle". It hits different imo.
3. Her corny jokes actually never miss.

imo I don't think they need to watch it cause it's from 2 years ago and some things changed (like Dongie's confidence) and the facts are almost the same in both versions (of course if they want to watch it they should, it's just a suggestion). I think it's better if they do some funny videos (from our dear Insomnicsy ofc)

My bias is Yoohyeon, she is beautiful, with a beautiful voice, she is intelligent, lovely, hardworking, kind, funny and super sweet. She is always improving herself and it's a role model to never give up and keep working hard to achieve what you want. She is always checking on everybady if they are ok, and it's a loyal friend. There's a story behind JiU writting the song "Alldaylong", it was inspired on a back hug Yoohyeon give her one time she was feeling down. She said to Jiu that if she was in a bad mood then her too and that people on a bad mood should hug each other so she hugged her. She is the most precious girl in the universe ♥

It's always been Sua for me, since the day I discovered them in 2018. And I've never faltered in my devotion.
As for why...she can do literally ANYTHING. She's the group's all-rounder. She was their de facto second rapper until she ceded that position to Gahyeon so she could focus on her singing.
I'd highly recommend the cover of I Love You by Jiu, Sua and Siyeon. Their harmonies in that cover are exquisite and it shows how good all three of them are.

Mera's Dodging Disbandment video is a great history catch up. These ladies have been through so much and just kept going. They love Insomnia and put so much effort into showing it. Red Sun was the first song/video I saw from Deukae. Dami kicked me in the chest and took my breath away. Once I got to know them, I love them all but Siyeon is my ult. Stunningly beautiful, sweet, goofy, expressive. When she sings and performs she can make my heart race one minute and calm it the next. All of Deukae put their heart and souls into their music. So like many I've got a bias and 6 wreckers and I would throw hands in an instant for any one of them lol. Anyway, another great reaction, looking forward to more!!

I highly recommend checking out their B-sides and covers before choosing bias. My ultimate bias is Sua, and as much as I like "this is" series it didn't even come close to revealing her personality besides her legendary loudness and laugh, much less her as a great dancer and one of the best vocalists in the group.
There are so many OT7 in this fandom. Personally my bias is Yoohyeon - primarily because of her vocals but really just everything.

I have been an insomnia for 2 years now, and I still haven't been able to confirm 1 bias. Coincidentally, the 2 that I have narrowed it down to is also Jiu and Dami.
Jiu : Just seems like such a wholesome ray of sunshine. Dad jokes are a bonus not a minus and I will fight anyone who says otherwise. She just seems like a person you can trust with anything. I could ask her to protect my whole life savings and I wouldn't worry about anything happening to it because she would never do anything wrong I swear. On stage; she has a very alluring and elegant look to the way she dances that is unique and captivating.
Dami : Her personality is similar to mine as a super chill person. Except she has more talent in her pinky toe than I do in my whole body. Also she is way hotter than me. But otherwise we are basically the same! I love the way she cares for people in a low-key manner. She will help you without ever telling you and you will never even know about it. That shows that she is doing it purely out of the goodness of her heart rather than looking for external validation or something. Also smart and humble people are like SUPER hot, so yeah. On stage: her voice, rapping ability, dancing, and stage presence are all top tier. Anytime you show someone Dreamcatcher they WILL ask "who is that rapping? She is so cool". It really doesn't need much explanation to know she a beast performer.

It started off as Dami being my bias. She hooked me in BOCA. Then is changed to her being my let bias and the rest of the members are my wreckers. Especially with their concerts. They just killed me with No Dot and their outfits and energy. So happy you guys are getting into them. Love your reaction videos because it is taking me back to when I first got into them which was literally like three month ago and I have fallen so hard for them. Insomicy has amazing edits and I think you guys should watch all of their videos but definitely watch Dreamcatcher Mind, self made mvs, and their kdrama parody (2 videos). Also get used to the suits and glasses because that is a very common thing with them. Especially suits. Those kill me.
My bias is Siyeon, I think it started with her stage presence that caught my eye before I knew anything about them, but what really made her my bias was her personality and how she always made me laugh (especially when combined with sua💀) plus I got into them during scream era and her black hair with those suit outfits absolutely wrecked me 😭

But really: between title tracks, special clips of b-sides, and special clips that are some of the best cover songs around (and some of the deadliest dance covers out there) plus their Dreamcatcher Mind series and insomniscy's other series, you have a lot to look forward to.
And on the group being perfect: there are some disadvantages they experience coming form a small company and DCC is by no means perfect, but there are three major advantages they have (other than the fact that they're amazing vocalists, dancers, and performers):
1. they were created for live performance--it's what the dcc ceo was looking to do with a girl group--and it shows; they're insanely good live, and they thrive on it. They go hard, but have the vocals, choreo chops, stage presence, and chemisty with each other and their fans to back up the energy so their concerts are not only hyped up but also professionally perfromed.
2. they're not a self-produced group, and only a few of the member have writing credits, but they do have a lot of input on creative direction, esp. what they wear & how they approach their performances.
3. they are allowed to be themselves as much as any kpop idol can be themselves in public, including the fact that Siyeon, Dami, and Yoohyeon don't cover up their tattoos (unless a broadcast company insists--the company doesn't make them do it).
I would also recommend Yooyeon & Dami's cover of IU's "Palette" for showcasing Damis singing voice.
dami is my ult of ult biases. she radiates talent. and seeing her in person? insane. she OOZES charisma. i like how she's an introvert but she's also one of the few members in the group with the most connections. she's one of the aces of the group also, imo. she strived to get better at her singing and she has. she's a great songwriter and composer. she even works on yoohyeon's special clips with her (the production). afaik she also helped yoohyeon with her solo, as well. she's just such a one in a million talent and she's so interesting. she's smart and funny and she comes off as reserved but i'd argue that she's the most compassionate. jiu is the leader but i think dami is the one who allows jiu to rest and rely on her. she's also a dangerous flirt. you should see some of the stuff and stories fans have when they've met/talked to her. insane.
she's just. so. ugh.

Part two heck yes I am so glad that you guys reacted to these, now you need to check out the first ones and also the This Is Dreamcatcher ones because they are AMAZING (and I'm pretty sure you'll see some Gaycatcher in there, and no it's not just skinship if you really look at it because there are sometimes where they try to hide it!) She is so adorable and really beautiful. She has an insane voice, is about as clumsy as me and talented for real. She is so open-minded I recall the interview, where she said her ideal type is a hardworking someone. The interviewer confirmed: "Yoohyeon likes hardworking men" And she just said "I said hardworking people, all kinds of people" Bias status absolutely deserved.

My bias is JiU and it has been from the start.
1. Her personality is just **amazing** She is literally on loan from heaven. She's the sweetest and most caring person I've ever seen. Her love for Dreamcatcher and insomnia transcends the screen and the group is as amazing as they are bc she's the glue that holds them all together. When you get a chance to see them live you'll see this for yourself. This woman just radiates pure love and happiness.
2. Her dad jokes are the best and even when no one reacts she laughs her butt off anyway. She never stops! It also apparently runs in the family bc her dad does the same 😂
3. Her dance/vocal skills are always on point and so incredibly stable. She is so underrated in these areas bc most ppl always talk about her visuals but she's a lead dancer and lead vocalist for a reason and her vocal power when she's allowed to showcase it more is very addictive to listen to (Wind Blows, Whistle, Starlight are so memorable bc of her parts)
4. She is such a weird dork in the most endearing way and so relatable. She loves food, like really LOVES it. You can just whisper it to her ear and she'll wake up and jump out of bed to get ready for a meal. She'll randomly visit a theater to get popcorn bc she's craving it or walk and take a subway into the city just to buy a bag of chocolate covered chips 😭

My bias? Well, that's kind of a long story.
As usual, I went through the first impression, second impression and so on phase. First it was Dami because in Piri she just crushed me. Second it was, well, let's just say that I went through most of the group until I decided to give up and just be OT7.
Then one day, about a year or so in, after watching tons of comp videos, live chat videos and so on, I noticed that I was paying a lot more attention to Yoohyeon. I mean a LOT. As the saying goes, you don't pick your bias, your bias picks you and for reasons that I really can't put my finger on, Yoohyeon picked me.
But...
At any given moment any (and all) of the other members can wreck the hell out of me. If I were to bias rank them on a scale of 1 to 10, Yoohyeon would be a 10 and the rest of the group would all be 9.5's. This is why I've officially (unofficially) renamed the group 'Yoohyeon and the Six Wreckers'.
WELCOME TO THE DREAMWORLD :)))) We love to see Dreamcatcher getting some love. As far as recommendations go:
1. Definitely the self-made MVs (available for Curse of the Spider, July 7th, Sahara, Break the Wall, Poison Love, maybe some others I forgot). If you're up for it you can definitely marathon the Nightmare arc, which was their first storyline (Chase Me, Good Night, Fly High, You and I, What, Piri, & depending on who you ask, Breaking Out).
2. B-sides. As many as possible, but my faves are Full Moon (their fan-dedicated single), Black or White, In the Frozen, & Over the Sky.
3. Covers, especially stages. You guys saw snippets of Bang Bang Bang and My House, definitely catch those (in your own time even if TH-cam strikes them), and I'd also pitch the Abracadabra relay dance, the Taki Taki cover, Sua x Dami's Havana cover, Yoohyeon x Dami's Baby Don't Stop stage, Jiu x Dami's Full Moon stage, and Jiu x Handong's Troublemaker stage for good measure. Past that, there's enough content in covers alone on their group & company channels to keep you sorted for... a while.
3A. The Sua x Siyeon x Dami x Gahyeon Blue Moon cover. This one gets its own number cos not enough people seem aware of it and it has some of the best vocals from all involved (& definitely not a sick-ass Dami rap *wink wink*).
4. Their Apocalypse: Save Us album (the one MAISON's the title track of) has member singles, and they've been releasing the MVs for them --- at time of this comment, Yoohyeon's MV is the only one not out.
5. Other people have mentioned the Dodging DIsbandment "group history" video by mera, I'm gonna second that because it'll help a lot with understanding their fight for recognition (let me reiterate, MAISON was their first music show win. Ever.).
And closing with a group you may like to add to your roster in the future: Rolling Quartz. If no one's brought them up yet, 3 words: K-rock Girl Band. Debuted 2020 with "Blaze", they have other stuff up since, and they've covered Dreamcatcher's "Good Night" as well, which might be a nice segue.

When i started getting into dreamcatcher Dami was the one i clung to for awhile, but after really learning about all of them i think Jiu came out on top. Theres just something about her being this corny little goofball whos so sweet and caring about everyone else while also having an incredible stage presence. I think Dami is still not far behind though thanks to just being super relatable, like emotionally i can really relate to Dami a lot and it just makes me really appreciate her because i can see exactly where her kindness comes from and how everyone else feels about her, not just the members but the dancers and other staff you can tell just love Dami because shes so reliable. Handong gets to be an honorable mention for being the funniest member
I say my bias is unnie line 'cause I can't choose between the three... then the maknae line comes in to wreck. So I'll just talk about unnie line or we'll be here all day.
JiU: The sweetest person on the planet. Giving, caring, compassionate. I credit JiU as a leader for a lot of the group's dynamic -- which is so full of love and affection. JiU is a warm hug personified. Also, Minji noises are the cutest and so is her dog, Cherry (who she wrote a song about: Cherry - Real Miracle).
SuA: Like you said, SuA is a comedian. The group wouldn't be the same without her. We would miss out on a lot of chaos and hilariousness. She's very extroverted and warm. They say 'she has a lot of love', and she's definitely the most physically affectionate person by a long shot - all over the others all the time (and not just punching them). She's not called the 'butt hunter' for nothing. She has a ton of idol friends because she makes everyone feel seen. She loves playing with Insomnia as much as she loves playing with her members. She's also a damn amazing dancer/choreographer, and she knows she's the best at sexy dances. Also there's something about the way that she raps that kills me (Good Night, BEcause, No Dot)
Siyeon: I fell in love with Siyeon after watching "Siyeon.exe stopped working" followed by "Siyeon and Gahyeon's Chemistry" by insomnicsy. Siyeon's tendency to zone out, her utter shock and confusion at the smallest things, and unpredictable sense of humor juxtaposed with her insane rockstar energy makes her the most unique person in K-Pop IMO. Her voice is so soothing whenever she's on vlives by herself. Gentle, sweet, and silly. I love 'the wolf' side of her, and I love 'Singni' just as much. And also, damn, that voice... Def listen to that Overdose cover on V-1 to get even more of a taste for the rockstar in this woman.
yas more dreamcatcher!! there is so much content music wise and entertainment, you’d be surprised! and since you guys were so shocked to see dami sing in those snippets, that’s nothing. when you get around to bsides (also, i MUST mention siyeon and dami’s ost called shadow, it will knock your socks off) you’ll see just what a great vocalist she truly is (as well as the rest of the members. all of them could easily qualify as main/lead vocalist)

My bias is handong because of her voice tone and her personality is the one I can relate to. She is introverted, but when she is with the members, she becomes more comfortable
my ult bias is siyeon. i fell in love w her during fly high era and she has been making me go insane ever since. still sad i don't have a photocard of her yet, but since there's a new album on the horizon i'm def gunning for it. my bias wreckers would be the unnie line (jiu, sua, siyeon & handong) since i lean towards the older members in every group i've ever stanned. (2 groups only but jonghyun was IT for me really)
i've gotten multiple of my friends into dreamcatcher simply by spam posting abt them and the first win music show win i was crying at work. it has been almost 5 years w these women and i'm so hopeful for 5 more.
my bias is Sua and i like everything about her, She can do everything, she can sing, she can rap, she can dance, she can choreograph dances, she write her song, she can paint, she do boxing, and she do rock climbing. The thing that i also like about her is that she put boundaries when to be serious and when to have fun and stuff.
and Jiu and Handong is part of my bias line, Jiu is just the most precious human being on earth and i just love how down to earth she is. Handong there's just a something about her that i can't explain and she paints too.
my bias wrecker will probably Dami in maison era, blue hair dami is just different, she's so adorable and so talented too

Gahyeon is my bias and is actually my ultimate bias out of all the groups I stan 🥺 she's just so smart, her stage presence is amazing, she has an amazing personality. She's not just the cute maknae ( she actually doesn't like being called cute) she's really good at math and she remembers the groups schedule really easily, and of course her smile make me so happy🥺🥺
I love them all honestly! They are all amazing and lovable. My bias though is SuA. She is the first one who caught my attention, I love her singing voice, her range, vocals, dance, and overall her personality. I find that her laughter always makes me smile, super contagious.
Siyeon is my bias, i love everything about her. She so sweet so kind so beautiful so weird such a baby i just feel like i need to protect her. Then again she’s a wolfie, she can take care of herself, she feels very strongly towards her members and will do anything to look out for them. I just love her so much. Sua and Jiu is probably my bias wrecker, and as for the rest of the members, i just love them all. Dreamcatcher OT7!!!

About them being older than current ggs, keep in mind that DC is a 5 yo group and that 5 of them have been in the industry since 2014. It is only now that they've gotten mainstream attention. I highly suggest 'DC dodging disbandment and other extreme sports' to get an idea of the struggles they went thru.
On a lighter note, InsomnicSY has the Introducing DC and DC Chemistry series which are really fun and will help you get to know them even more.

I love every single member so much, but if I had to pick my biases:
Dami - her raps are usually my favorite part of DC songs, and also she is the member I most relate to
Gahyeon - for her visuals and her voice (talking, singing, rapping, love all of them)
Jiu - she is my absolute favorite person, can't explain it, she just loves Insomnias so much and is such a bright human being 🥺💖 Oh also her laugh is my favorite
But I'd like to also say my favorite things about the other members too:

Yoohyeon and Jiu are my main biases, even thoughnow I'm OT7. Jiu caught my eye in the first mv I watched from them, which was Piri. I could tell she was the visual coz her beauty was insane for me. But Yoohyeon got me coz she sang a cover of Jungkook's Euphoria during a birthday event, and that put me onto her. After hearing her sing Secret Love Song though, that hooked me.

My bias is Yoohyeon and my major bias wrecker is Siyeon. As to why, maybe Yoohyeon being like a "major character" on the nightmare series and also Deja Vu had something to do with it. Also, amazing vocals and also pretty and cute. Also, the clumsiness and then her smile its just ahkkkk!!
And then we got Siyeon because again, vocal queen, although all of them are. Performance queen, she just gives a superb aura on stage when I watch videos. She's hella cool. She's also weird and gets a little lost at times (which is me LOL maybe I can relate) and lastly, she's a Libra! Like me!
But to be fair, if InSomnias say they're all biaswreckers, *they're all biaswreckers*. They are all amazing in their own ways not only in personality but even with their talents that you can't not appreciate each one of them. They really are all amazing.

I really recommend it, even tho it's kinda old now there are a bunch of stuff that would really add to getting to know them !!! If i had to pick, my bias is JiYoo(Jiu and Yoohs ship name); Yoohyeon is my fav overall w Jiu being my bias wrecker but Dami and Siyeon have been creeping up lately.
They are all amazing and so unique that's why i find it hard to have a bias in this group. But i can tell you what i like most for each member.
Ji U- she is an angel; so precious, so positive
Su A - full of energy the life of the party
Siyeon - so weird in the best way and sooo flirty
Han dong - so sarcastic and blunt
Yoohyeon - a puppy; so adorable and her duality kills me

They are all just amazing people, super talented and so hard working and the kind of person you would want as an "idol" a role model.

Gahyeon is my bias. Has been since 2019 when I discovered them. She is just so damn cute and has grown so much. I love all of them but she is my bias and borders ult status next to Solar from Mamamoo.
