Today is February 25 2022 in Pennsylvania. An ice storm warning has been issued.

I remember this, we were out of school for a week!

I had 5 inches of snow on the night of Feb 16, 2015, closing school the next day. Temperatures were in the single digits during the entire storm for me.

I was born in Nashville, Tennessee.

This almost mirrors an ice storm that happened in February of 1994. That particular Ice Storm left most of the region without power for anywhere from just a few hours to several weeks.

That storm in 1994 was followed by warmer weather. The 2015 storm was particularly brutal as it was followed by entire days below 20 degrees, as well as additional snow, and more freezing rain at the end of the week

I was only out of school for one day here in Pennsylvania. 5 inches fell from that storm for me.
