Hey ruby! I just want to say that you are a real inspiration to me. I can't put into words how much you have helped me! You are an amazing person and my grades have improved so much as you help me to be productive. I'm also excited to read your book! Thank you so much, Take care of yourself From you no.1 admirer
I can’t believe that I’m finally, actually in a position where I need an academic planner! Adore the woodland theme, very heartstopper meets cosy autumn
And I can’t believe I’m actually in the position of not needing an academic planner anymore. Going to write my Master thesis next term. 😱😄 Wish you luck and success on your new academic journey. 😇
My tip is to begin each week/page with a quote or a line of poetry that encapsulates a fresh feeling you want to breathe into that week. If I'm ever in a slump or have big dreams but feel inadequate, my favourite go-to is: "Watch and pray, dear, never get tired of trying and never think it is impossible to conquer your fault"- Little Women, Louisa May Alcott
My academic tip is definitely try and keep everything in one place. Everything! I am a 37 year old mother of 3 who is going on to her final year at uni in forensic psychology. There's so much to remember, to do etc so I specifically gave myself a committed work area with the tools around me that I need to be able to see and focus. I write everything in one place, to do lists, assignment due dates and so on otherwise its all over and so messy! And a final tip .... don't burn yourself out, make time for yourself and your needs because you can easily become overwhelmed. I wish everyone well in both academic and actual life. Take care, Nikki x
Thanks girlie! Forreal tho, I struggle with burnout and doing too much. And the tip about keeping things in one place is honestly pretty smart :) thanks again
First off wonderful job on the illustration! I will forever be enchanted by that whimsical style and you nailed it. Would you ever be interested in illustrating a children's novel? Not so much a picture book, but think small drawings dispersed under chapter headers and some pages? I am almost done with my primary/elementary education degree. I plan to teach and hopefully principal one day, but my dream is to publish children's novels, and I have been looking at people who have a style of art that suits my narratives and values.
I love that you incorporate nature into the planner to reflect changes in seasons just as the student growth changes. We should remember to look into nature as there’s a time for everything. There’s sowing and there’s harvesting.
@@athenaenergyshine7616 exactly, not everything in nature blooms at the same time, and nothing can bloom all year around! Everyone grows at their own pace 🌱
Amazing planner Ruby! My planning tip: Make sure to plan enough time for rest, as well as time for work. We live in a society that often tells us that we have to work every minute of the day in order for us to say that we had a productive day. In contrary, working for hours without any brakes just causes us to lose focus and burn out. Always remember that mental health comes first and that breaks are just as important, or even more important than the work we do, that they deserve to be planned.
My very best planning tip is to not over schedule your day. I find it very annoying when I make this long schedule of things I would like to do but never end up getting to. Remind yourself there is only so much you can do and it’s better to focus on the big things. I ADORE YOU RUBY AND FIND SO MUCH MOTIVATION IN YOUR VIDEOS. ❤️❤️
My favourite planning tip is to make it fun! Use all sorts of colours and stickers and whatnot - personalise it, make it your own! I For me, planning is not only just a way to sort out my day but to have an outlet to express myself 🥰💕
My planning tip is to write down the mistakes you did in the past (referred to that specific task you're planning), what you could do instead and something new you want to experiment in order to have the best results possible and find the strategy that works best for you to complete that specific task. I think that writing tips for your future self and allow your strategy to be flexible will help you to improve in your planning and in your efficiency when trying to achieve your goals, without forgetting the precious things you've learnt from experience.
Absolutely beautiful planner and a must for university. My top planning tip: set a specific topic/subject to a certain day in the week. As a university student studying biomedicine, it's hard to keep focused while doing many different modules on a single day. Apart from Monday's [Practicals day], I deligated a single module to a corresponding day (e.g. Tuesday = Biochemistry, Wednesday = Cell biology, ect.) to help me maintain focus and interest, essential for any upcoming assignments. Congratulations Ruby on your amazing results from university, your an inspiration.
Didn't need to watch this video to know that I needed this planner. I absolutely adored last year's!!! My tip is: get yourself organised or stress will take over. Make sure to plan your day first thing in the morning or the night before so you'll have a clear understanding of the amount of work to do and the time you need to spend doing it.
dearest Ruby, i absolutely love how the planner turned out! it’s so beautiful and i adore every single thing about it - the layout, the theme, the pages, drawings of lovely Anna, the quality but most of all how much it screams 🤎Ruby🤎! I mean, it is so apparent that it’s yours. it looks like you if you were a planner haha and that’s my absolute favourite thing about it!!! i spent a hot minute thinking about what planning/study tip i could share to help out anyone and i think i chose my favourite one: it’s planning for the future version of yourself. 💆♀️ i love to plan so whenever i’m doing so, i am really enjoying the process in the present moment but the thing that always keeps me going is that i’m doing something good for the future me. i’m helping her to feel calmer and more at peace. it can be planning as small as getting your outfit ready the night before to way bigger things. the point is that planning declutters your mind (as it’s all planned out on the paper in front of you) and that way you’re limiting any stress levels caused by the events coming your way the following period. also a very important tip that goes hand in hand with that one is being kind to yourself. i made a little habit of sunday afternoon planning sessions but every now and again i, of course, miss and that’s okay. it’s important to be kind to yourself for forgetting/being busy and not beating yourself up for it! planning is such a great, powerful and helpful tool and making it nice and an (self-care & selfove) event (by making a nice cup of tea, lighting a candle and turn on fairy lights, putting some relaxing music on) really helps. helps to plan everything out, clear your head a little and eliminate stress & anxiety. also beautiful way of treating yourself and romanticising your life! 🖊🕯📖🍂🌾 ps. your videos have been the most peaceful escape of mine for years. i am grateful for your content and yourself. so very proud of you as well! sending love & light, Ruby. have a beautiful day (as so soon everyone who’s reading this!). 💛
love this planner so much!!! my top planning tip is to know that you can plan any time of the day. Even if i wake up and haven't been prductive until 2pm for example, it is not too late to plan out the rest of my day and make it productive. I sometimes feel discouraged if my start in the day was not as planned, so I have to remind myself that it is completely fine that not everything has to go according to plan and that I do not have to be producitve 24/7.
My tip for studying is to take breaks! It takes so much more effort to keep on studying when your head gets hazy. It really helps me to take a break and keep on studying after that with a clear mind and new energy! I’ve been eying these planners for years, but was never in the position to actually buy one, because I had been out of school due to mental health issues. I am finally in a better place and starting school again this year, which is a really big step forward for me. I would love to get my hands on one of these wonderful planners to help me stay organized! ❤️
My best study tip is to always put your health first, no matter what. To take breaks, go on walks and wind down after a day of studying. Love your content Ruby! And I’m looking forward to see what you will be up to on your gap year!
I love planners so much and yours looks so gorgeous and amazing! My top tip is daily reflection, to come at the end of the day or even the next morning and reflect on what you did through the day, how amazing you did (because through this you’ll see the hidden beauty of the day you buried by sad moments) and how short you come ( to keep yourself accountable and make sure/set intention to do better the next day(which will make you more likely to do so)), really life changing tip.
my favourite tip is to start my day with the easiest tasks and then gradually move on to the hardest ones , it gradually increases my self confidence and i find that that way i have more energy at the end of the day!!
This planner looks honestly amazing!!! It has literally everything in it! My top tip is to always remember what a huge privilege studying is and to always find something you are truly interested in and to be grateful for this great opportunity to learn more about things you love :)
The academic planner is so functional!!🌟 My top study tip is giving breaks between two study sessions. Because I think giving break helps to rest your mind. It makes the other study session more productive.
Planning is one of the most important things in your daily life. I have tried a lot of different methods (ruby have given me a lot of them) but i found out that all you have to do is try. Try to start a bullet journal, try to plan your day the night before or in the same morning, try notion, try to buy a planner. Everything is trying and knowing that if you fail and maybe the bullet journal is not for you, you can try another thing. There is always a planning method for everyone and if you don’t find it, maybe you’ll have to create your own one as ruby did with her planner!!!
This planner looks amazing! It has so much content and will help me become more organized throughout the year! My top tip is that if you start feeling stressed out or are not able to focus on your work, what helps me is to take a few seconds (or minutes) to look outside or spend time outside. It could simply be to look out your window to the sky, the clouds, the trees, or to go outside and take a few moments for yourself. It helps me get back in touch with understanding how precious life is and how I am given so many opportunities to learn and grow, especially with school because it is such a privilege for me to have :) thank you so much for reading
Hi! This planner is just something else. My tip is simple but I feel like people don't do it all the times and end up forgetting. Choose a day from the week to set everything you have to do for that week and to also schedule your week. In the past, I would just set it when I felt like it so I would forget things and with time I stopped using the agenda at its full potential. This way I am always on top of things and I also get motivated for the start of a new week!!
My top tip: double, triple, however many times check over your deadlines! Deadlines whether for bills, school, whatever. Don’t rely on the school/teachers/whoever to remind you. And it’s not just about missing the deadline, but checking in the status of something ensures you’re not being ripped off/are getting something that you may no longer want/forget something/etc. Just don’t feel ashamed/scared to check something over. It shows diligence and commitment 💕😁 Good luck everyone, thank you Ruby for the planner, and if ur still reading this wut up! 🤙🏽
Planning tips Every year reflect. What went right, wrong and how to make it better. This planner is great for doing that as it makes you think about yourself and steps that you need to take to become better. Think holistically on improving habits in all areas of your life. which will ultimately make you a better student. Keep striving to learn and how to study better. Write as much down. Dont keep it in your head. Your head is already full. Be kind to your neurone.
One of my top planning tips is to separate the different parts of your life. You have a academic/work life (or both) and personal life. Create those boundaries by making that distinction when you plan. Then break the categories down e.g lesson, tutorials, lectures… for academic, shifts or events for work, meet ups, parties, birthdays… for personal. I have different calendars which I can view in one calendar for planning my time (google calendar). Thats why I love Ruby’s stationary so much because it allows me to focus on the different aspects of my busy life at different times. I hope my tip helps somebody. Thanks. Love your videos.
My best planning tip at this point is that the best thing to do is try out different methods and find out for yourself which one works for you. There are so many planning tips online and not all of them will work for everyone. Don't be afraid to try different things! Love what you do! :D
I can't wait for this planner, I've loved the past two sooo much. My top tip for planning is, take the planner everywhere you go, and write everything in it. Even if it's something simple as when a book or TV show that your looking forward to is released. Then your checking your planning all the time and it will remind you of any super important deadlines or reminders. 📚💙
I am starting at university this year and are so excited to use this planner for my two first semesters!! It is nice to be able to support you by enjoying your creations, Ruby. I have ben following you, since I was 16 years old. I am 22 now and have had 3 gap years. You have made a great impact on how I view things and made me so excitied for the small things in life and new knowledge. My best tip for planning, organizing, studying is link it to something rewarding. Examples: try out a new tea while writing an assignment, listen to your favorite podcast while cleaning, have a food bath while planning your week. In that way you feel like you are treating yourself, giving yourself a little bit of self-care while getting stuff done. I always get excited for these little sessions and feel so content afterwards. It also helps me stop procastinating without being harsh on myself.
This planner looks wonderful Ruby! My top planning tip is to ALWAYS schedule in breaks. It can be easy to overload yourself with work when there is so much to do. But, taking frequent breaks makes studying so much easier. I like to do say: 9:00-10:30 - Write 10 pages. 10:30-10:45 - Tea break. This honestly helped me be so much more productive at university and you know yourself best so you may not need fifteen minutes to recharge but you know yourself and what you need. That’s my tip! Also, whoever is reading this, you can do this, you are capable of everything you put your mind to. I believe in you and I wish you all the happiness! 💖xxx
My top planning tip is to do more tough tasks in the morning and keep them at top of our to do list. As we remain focused the most in the morning it will be easier to do the daunting works. Love the planner, so aesthetic.
So excited for the release of the new planner - it looks incredible, especially with all of the new pages and beautiful woodland theme! I have absolutely loved using my academic planner for the past year! ❤️ My planning tip would be to write a longer to-do list for the whole week at the start of the week, and then insert the tasks in each day suiting whatever priorities you have for the day. I find that this is helpful to provide motivation both at the start of the week and then each day! This will especially be helped with the new monthly and weekly spreads in the planner! 📖🥰
My top planning tip is to always write down the task on the page of the day before it is due! So if I have to finish a task by Thursday I will write it down for Wednesday. And when I finish it earlier, I feel like I am working ahead. This way I don't put too much pressure on myself to do the task earlier than needed if I don't find the time to finish it that day and I always see what I have to do over the upcoming week/month. The planner looks amazing! :)
hiiiiii!! the best advice i can give is not to lose yourself-- your physical and mental wellbeing should be your top priority (including sleep, which should never be sacrificed if possible). maintaining and forging relationships is incredibly important as well and strive to carve out time for people you love even when you're at your busiest. additionally, learn to forgive yourself. my last piece of advice is to let go what you cannot change. if you make small blunders during the day or even giant blunders with giant consequences, let it be because you have done what you could for that day. let the errors go and be better the next day. it's ok. and you will be ok.
My planning tip would be writing down tasks from most important/urgent to least important, and devide each in small tasks. It really helps me keeping an overview in what I'm doing, and I feel more motivated when I can cross something off the list! Also planning has really helped me keep up my uni work and mental health at the same time. I feel less stressed since I can see on paper what needs to be done. It has also made my days more structered, which has really improved my mental health! I can finally find the time to take actual breaks from all the work I'm doing (like taking a whole weekend to do something fun/relaxing). The planner looks amazing and I will definitely buy one when they are released! I'm finishing my bachelors degree next year and I know it's going to be a lot of hard work, so some structere will be vey helpfull :)
Thank you so much for your presence in this space Ruby, you inspire and motivate us all! My top study tip may sound obvious, but I can’t begin to express how much it has helped and saved me this past semester. Here it is: save and download a simple calendar (the “calendar” app on apple devices works well, but any simple calendar will do the trick!) that covers each month of the semester (eg January - May), either print or download onto an annotating device. Now, transfer all syllabus tasks and assignments down on this calendar on the corresponding day. This is a simple, easy, visual technique that saves so much time and energy in the future - glance over the calendar each day/week and you will always know when you have assignments coming up, when things are due, what things should be prioritized and when. Happy planning and studying!
personally, planning was a little hard for me because I would write a lot of tasks down and then I wouldn't complete many and then it would end in me feeling a bit bad and me also wasting a good $5-10. What has helped me a lot was writing down easy little tasks, including self-care, like having a cup of tea or putting away that pair of pants on my bed. Just checking off things, even if they are very easy, gave me motivation to put harder tasks on my to-do lists and keep going! I hope this helps someone out there, because it certainly did help me! happy planning, Maya
loved it! my favourite study/organisation tip is always to write down everything that comes to my mind on post its or a little notebook when studying (it doesn't have to be work related). Doing so you will have a clearer mind and won't be worrying about something that doesn't belong to that time you are dedicating to studying, as well as having all your thoughts in one place really organised
my favorite study tip would be to always write down a quote that resonates with you that day, I find that it sticks with me throughout the day and makes it easier to be inspired, sometimes it will be something I've been told, something I heard in a book/online but most days it's one of my own ones!
The thing which really really helped me being productive was how i battled my thoughts when i studied because I always knew the ones who focus better are the ones who make it to the top. So i always wanted to sharpen my focus instead of the AMOUNT of time I spend on my desk. Hence, to keep my sooo many thoughts at bay, while i study, I tried alternate nostril breathing for 2-4 minutes before I started to study for each session. It just takes 2-4 mins but saves the next 2-3 hours. It includes inhaling from one nostril while keeping the other closed. And exhaling from the closed one. This !! I'm telling you saved so so much of my time and helped me get maximum done in minimum time !! ❤️ Because everything on the outside can feel sorted only when things on the inside are sorted !! Wishing you a great day today❤️
Great planner. My top planning tip is to have a set day each week that you do your planning on. So you know that every Tuesday, for example, is planning day. It sets you up for a very organised week.
Definitely! This year I started dedicating time on Sunday nights to plan the coming week and it means when I wake up I know exactly what needs to be done and has made me so much more productive!
Hi Ruby ! I already love your new planner, last one has helped me so much over the school year to be more productive and motivated (thank you)... My top planning tip would be to take a bit of time at the beginning of each month to customize and plan the new month's pages. I 'd always make sure to set the right ambiance, play some music, open the windows or light a candle...so it really becomes a delightful relaxing moment. Life can get overwhelming quite easily and taking this creative break allows me to breathe, take a step back and feel prepared to enter the month confidently. 🍁🍂🦔🌟
This year's theme is my favourite so far; it's too cute! 🍄🍃 My planning tip is, when you have a busy day ahead, to plan your day the night before. This way you clear your mind before you go to sleep, and you have an idea of what you'll be doing the next day. Also, you can get started right away and don't lose any time with planning or deciding what you're going to do first. 🙂
I don’t really have planning tips but more of a motivational tip while studying if this can count, and it’s to always pick a little “prize” for everyday and picture yourself enjoying it as soon as you’ll be done with your studying/working, it can genuinely be the smallest thing like watching an episode of your favorite tv show, getting ice cream, little things that can push you to get to the end of the day. AND also going on a walk, even just 10/15 minutes to clear your mind, that does MIRACLES!!! ❤️❤️❤️
This planner is absolute perfection! My organization advice is to establish a day, for example for me are sundays, in which you dedicate a few hours to organize your week and look over your monthly or yearly goals to work on them during the week, and most important, add all the things you will be doing that certain day the night before or right in the morning, to make the most of your time! Thanks so much for being such an inspiration, a friend for all who follow you!
My biggest piece of advice is to enjoy the journey. Speaking as someone who's near the end of her undergraduate studies after studying through COVID lockdowns and the like, enjoy the process and the journey. Don't feel like you have to be productive 24/7 and don't skip out on fun events or socialising for the sake of your studies. You will be more productive if you take care of yourself than if you work yourself into the ground.
Yeah I didn’t work myself into the ground I barely had any work but developed such bad social anxiety and feel little connection to my uni 😂 I’m in second year but now I just feel demotivated to attend social events 😢 It’s quite lonely but I somewhat prefer the freedom of being alone
This new planner looks amazing, Ruby!! In my opinion, I believe that blurting is the best study tip as it allows you to remember and retrieve all of the key information that is necessary. I love that blurting shows where you have misunderstood or forgotten key information, so you can spend the time re-learning the key information. It truly allows you to work smarter :)
One of my best planning tips is to try not to overcrowd your to do list. This may be easier said than done but if you prioritise those which need to be done sooner, it will help. Having a smaller todo list makes your workload seem less stressful and easier to get started with. I really hope this helps I am so excited for this year's planner. I love you and your content so much Ruby and I thank you for being motivational and providing me with joy everyday. X
Thank you Ruby once more for this opportunity 💗 My top tip for really anything, either studying or planning or organising is to dedicate a page in your planner, digital or physical, where you will weekly or every 2 weeks or even monthly, write down what is your main goal and why you are doing what you are doing. After this, try and find some inspiring affirmations and add them as an extra boost! In this way, you will be reminded and motivated and keep on going 💪💪 Have an amazing day everyone! 💚
One study tip I use is the ‘Rule of 8’, so 8 hours of work (inc. classes), 8 hours sleep and 8 hours self care. It is so vital to find a balance and so many people have found that this benefits them so well. Love all around x
The new planner looks stunning! ✨My top productivity tip is using the pomodoro technique🍅, because it helps me focus better. Also, as a planning tip, I would suggest setting a time in the morning for making the daily plan and journal, so you can set the tone for your day while drinking your morning cup of coffee/tea☕. While making my study plans, I always leave space for having a "plan B", because not everything always goes perfectly according to the plan, and still lets me achieve my goals.
I think for studying it is incredibly important to remind yourself every time why you’re doing this, why it is important and what you love about it. Appreciate what you are studying and you’ll love and enjoy the process.
here's a planning tip i learnt from this book called make time that has helped me out a lot: to-do lists have their flaws especially if they are not prioritised especially bc we tend to do things just for the satisfaction of ticking a box and not getting the most important things done, so in order to get those priorities right, try to select one major task that you would call a "highlight" and focus most of your energy on getting that done before making your way through to the other tasks and you don't even have to complete your highlight first thing in the morning if that's not how you function but as long as you get it done, that's what matters. hope this helps, and congratulations ruby on launching yet another academic planner. you inspire me so much 💜
So excited for this! My top tip would be good lighting. I’ve always found lighting to be one of the main reasons I dislike studying at school. It’s important to find the right environment so you can be the most productive!
My weekly planning tip - 1) Firstly, I write down all the tasks I want to accomplish. ( I use different colors for different subjects) 2) Then in Google Calendar I slot in all the fixed tasks. (eg: works, online classes, etc.) 3) Then slot in the fun activities (eg: reading books, watching youtube videos, etc.) 4) Then all the studying I need to do. If I find I don't have enough time to complete all the tasks I set out for the week then I cut down the time spent on fun activities. Hope this helps someone :) The planner looks amazing! Love you Ruby.
Whenever I feel lazy or notice that I am procrastinating I remind myself what I am doing this for. Why I chose the degree I chose and what I want to achieve with it in the future. And letting this sink back into your mind, making you excited for the degree you are working on is very important to me. Finding the excitement when you have lost it for a moment. I usually work with To Do lists, theyre very simple, but just show me what I can expect from my week or day and what I need to work on. Without a To Do list I just give procrastination a lot more room. 😊
eeee I love how you've personalised the planner ! my top study / organisation tip as a (nearly !) year 13 student is to make revision resources as you go along - this means when it comes to exams, you will have all the resources to revise from which saves so much precious revision time ! bonus tip: i love to watch Ruby's videos before studying as they help me to have a focused mindset
Forreal this tip is good. Like when it gets to finals I admit, it’s kind of hard for me to study, but I’m getting a little bit better at making resources as I go along 💕😁 Good luck everyone!
My top planning tip is to set a time each week to set your planner up for the upcoming week. This was essential to ensuring I used my planner more often! Also, keeping it places where it would be most accessible to me when I need it!
My biggest tip is to always make sure you are going back and updating your planner. Things change, things come up and dates can change. Furthermore, with your weekly and daily lists it can be useful to update them periodically because you may realize you need to focus on something else instead than your initial plan after attending a class or getting an email. It’s important to be flexible in your to do list to be able be productive and get everything done with changing needs.
The planner looks so good this year! My top tip is to keep a list of all the revision/ tasks you’ve done so if you’re feeling overwhelmed you can have confidence that you’ve done something. Something is always better than nothing!
As a PhD student I have been in uni for 8 years (wow). I am a planner enthusiast & one of my best advices is to not plan for the sake of planning, for the sake of "having sth planned = feeling productive". Be careful not to over plan / micro manage your day and get burned out. This being said, I like how Ruby's planner is like this "student life hub" where you can feel safe and enjoy planning and enjoy using the planner to be productive : I have yet to try this planner but just from the videos I can see how she truly enjoys using it herself and how planning doesn't seem to be a boring task, but a fun one.
cutest planner ever!! I feel like it would help me decrease the absurd amount of notebooks I use for different planning things! My top study tip is going back through all your notes and highlighting and making them colorful when reviewing for a quiz/test. Also finding fun TH-cam series, podcasts, and books to supplement what you’re learning to make it more fun!!
The planner turned out amazing!! My favourite organisation tip is to pre-define an order in which you're going to do your tasks, it takes away the procrastination that comes from always having to decide what to do next :D
Hello, my top tip is to ... begin planned tasks before getting into a cozy mood - having cleared your desk/space and prepared materials the night before to prevent procrastination; the planner looks lovely and pre-made planners such as your own would be very helpful in staying organised and motivated :)
Really good tip, it’s a good reminder for me because I be getting really disorganized, and I think setting up a calm cool place would help me feel more relaxed :) 💕
I'm so excited for this one, Ruby! My top tip: take care of your mental health (= good mental state), sleep 7-8 hours preferably (= energy) and have a designated planning day to organise your life (= motivation and discipline)! You can never go wrong with these three. (Thanks for the work you put into these planners, I especially love the random little drawings and notes, it's super cute)
Love this planner! I usually tend to overplan everything and never let myself have some spare time, so one of my planning tip would actually to stop planning every bit of your life and let yourself have some spare time, where you can just roll with the flow and let the world come to you, in all its magnificence; I got a lot better mentally since I started to loosen up and stop pressuring myself so much to do everything on a particular day. As for studying, my number one tip for learning lessons is to sing the importants parts on a melody that I like and can easily remember during an exam.
Can't wait for the planner to come out! As a person who struggles with focussing and concentration (hurray for adhd) and is also very chaotic, I definitely recommend to make your schedule for the day or week visual. Not just putting a date and time in your planner, but divide your day into blocks and then draw how much space of the day the task/appointment will cost you. This way you won't (or at least not as much as before) plan too many things on one day, or even plan things that will overlap each other. And for the focussing part I definitely recommend putting a study with me on youtube in the background. Thank you Ruby for being an inspiration for so many of us!
Hello! My top study tip is just being more organized. Bc if you keep being organized everything will be seem easier. And i think that this academic planner is so useful at this point. 🌞🌻✨
The planner looks amazing!! You can see that you put your hart and soul in it. My study tip is to take a moment each week to fill out your planner, so you keep track of all your assignments, and you do not get surprised during the week. Then decorate it how you like, so you get motivated to study.
Thank you so much for making this planner! It has helped me stay productive and on top of my studies, I dont know what I would do without it. My study/planning tip is to remember that it’s okay if you fail to achieve a study goal, but to always really reward yourself when you manage to complete the workload you planned out, even if it’s a smaller goal. That helps you to learn your personal limits and set appropriate goals for yourself!
My academic tip would be that when you get the motivation to start studying get everything ready straight away including textbooks, spare pens, drink and snack, to help keep procrastination at bay, thanks for launching a new planner Ruby, I'll be an undergraduate fresher this September, I will definitely be re-watching your "study with me" videos, they really help me to keep motivated.
Absolutely adore these illustrations by Anna - they're so sweet!! My top tip for studying and organisation is to always make things as easy as possible for yourself. This may sound super straightforward but often times these past few years when I've been studying for my bigger exams, I notice that I end up leaving a few things to the last minute or even not organising things as well as I could. Keep your notes in one place, sort them by subject or topic or whatever works best for you, and try your best to keep on top of tasks. Just make sure that when the time to crack down and study hard comes, everything is easily accessible and you don't need to faff around much! This is also very much applicable to everyday life! Definitely fits in with the self-care elements you were so importantly talking about Ruby. Have a great day everyone :)
This planner is so adorable and efficient! My top tip/ how I plan for university is by making to-do lists with 3 priority tasks that I have to do that day, alongside less important tasks that I could do or I can move to another day if I don't have time. I tend to split assignments over a long period of time and do chunks of it depending on how much energy I have that day, so eventhough 3 tasks seem like a low number I put alot of time and effort into the 3 things I focus on. This upcoming year is my final year so I hope I can incorporate regular revision (even if it is a little) and do more extra reading. Edit: I usually do weekly planning so I can ensure I'm making progress, so if you're going to use this method just make sure you check up on your overall progress.
I love the woodland theme so much, definitely my favorite as well! 😍 This year, my first year in university, I discovered my new favorite planning tip, which is that it is more important to have a plan for the week than for the day, as i found that the work I had to do was more time consuming than in high school. So I think the new pages in the planner are spot on! I wish you all the best as you embark on this next year after graduation! 💚
This is such a beautiful planner! This is truly the best planner out there made by a student for students. On tip I have is if you have fallen behind on planning or haven’t gotten as much done as you wanted to, take a deep breath. Then write down something that you have accomplished - a simple as getting out of bed :)
This planner looks amazing!!! I do believe that it is a dream come true for any organised student and even if you’re not a student you could be still using it!! which is awesome. One of my planning tips is to plan the week ahead but without including any “specifics” so to speak, and then when I’m having breakfast I write down everything that I want to accomplish that day basing me on the general things that I planned on the previous Sunday, so I get motivated to do things every day and not get overwhelmed!! I hope it is useful for anyone reading it. Keep being you, Ruby!!😊
The planner looks absolutely brilliant! My tip is to actively turn organisation into a habit. It takes 28 days to form a habit so if you consistently plan each day for about a month you will find your life much more organised which will benefit both your work but also your mental health
My top planning tip is setting up your own cozy planning routine. Whether morning or night, with coffee or tea, just find how and when it works best for you to plan the day, week, month, and year. Personally, I plan at the end of every month for the next one and my weeks on Saturday afternoons with my latte, preferably with an open window so sunshine and fresh air stream in for a good mood. Love the look of the new planner, especially the cute drawings and writing.❤🔥
I like this tip, planning routine sounds like a great idea! I think my routine would def start with cleaning, and then making a nice beverage. Thanks for sharing💕😊
My planning tip is to decorate your planner. If you just see it as a chore, It’s not going to be fun. But, If you try and add decorations and stickers in there, It will be all worth it.
That planner looks amazing! My top tip is to study with someone else, either in person or using an online study with me. They force you to focus and you feel like you should work hard too. 😄😄
Ruby, this year's planner looks absolutely amazing. A cottage core woodland dream come true. My most important tip is to make your daily to-do list realistic. I would love to do everything at once, but that will never happen. Having three main tasks/priorities a day and smaller ones works best for me. And if you have a lot to do during a particular week, just add one big post-it note to keep it in one place in your weekly spread and check it off as you go. On the other hand, my favourite planning tip is always to have something exciting on your daily to-do list. Something that you can't wait to do and cross off - maybe it's reading a chapter of a book, meal prepping with a roommate/family member, going to a library etc. It keeps me motivated to do other things. Just have fun with it - stick some train tickets, dried flowers, stamps or washi tapes and make it truly yours 🧡
I love all the illustrations and the thought behind each spread, you really outdid yourself :) I’m nervous about going to university next year but watching your videos always makes me excited for my future academic challenges. While it’s kind of an ironic tip, my planning tip is to spend less time planing (even though I love to do it). Whenever I get caught up in making my to do list perfect I realize that I’m not doing the tasks I really want to do. Plans are amazing, but the best part about planning is seeing your dreams come about with action so it’s best to keep plans simple and concise! Thank you again for making such a student-oriented planner! It’s amazing 😊
My top productivity tip is to find a balance between fun study and work study. As someone who likes learning (im sure many others here do) you will find yourself doing subjects you love to study and do work on, and others that you dont. If you focus on the stuff that does not come naturally, you will lose your passion for learning, but if you focus only on the fun stuff, you wont grow and expand you're knowledge as quickly. Both are important for any scholar in the making! Good luck everyone :D
I adore this planner! 💜 My top planning tip is: to have a "re-set day" as I like to call it. It's a day when you basically re-set your life for the upcoming week. You can clean your work space, plan for the next week, do something that makes you happy, and so much more. This helps me start my week on a good note and have more motivation.
My Planning Tip: Record and then review at the end of every week what you've achieved and on your off days it'll pick you up to see how far you've come! Excited for the planner Ruby xx
Loving the new planner! I've used last year's one and am super excited to use the new one. I organise myself in the evening by packing my bag, laying out an outfit I wanna wear and writing down the most important events and things to do for the next day. That way, I don't forget anything important and can get ready in the mornings without any delays or stress.
Planning and steadying tip: consistency and pacing is key. Also knowing your limits and when to push them or when to pause, take a step back and breath. 😊
This planner is awesome!! For me, I dont have a planner so I usually buy notebooks for different things etc. books reviews, to do list, calendar. This planner has everything i needed, and its prefect for me to keep things organised in one book! :) You’ve done a great job on making this! Thank you!!
My top planning tip is actually to know when to stop planning. I have spent a lot of time avoiding school work that I am overwhelmed by, by over planning. It almost became a roundabout way to procrastinate! So to combat that I only allow myself to plan for 30 ish minutes before I need to start work for at least 30 minutes, then if I really need to plan more I’ll let myself. This has really helped me if I’ve ever been behind :) hope it helps you all!
Oh love this video. My top study tip is using pomodoro to more effectively work through a to do list. But not being restricted to the traditional timings for a pomodoro. Depending on how productive you are feeling the timings can be flexible. Not always 20 mins work 5 mins off
The woodland theme looks absolutely beautiful! My planning tip is to write one thing that you know you will enjoy doing on your to-do list each day and block a time frame to do it (so that your more urgent tasks don't constantly take over your time for things you enjoy).
I have had great experience using a planner.....but you have to have the right one and ruby's seems just sooooo perfect.....when i started using planners i bought planners which didn't suit me and those which had uneccesary spreads like financial planning spreads and all those things which is completely useless to me as a student. So do ur reserch ppl! And don't forget! Planning is different for everyone..a simple sticky note scribble can be what defines planning for you! Have a productive week!
Everything you've added looks very thoughtful. I've always had problems keeping myself on track of my own obligations, but one thing I've found that's helped has been dumping absolutely everything I have to do for the day on a piece of paper, and then deciding which of those things are the most important. It helps me actually tackle the things that need tackling, not small tasks that I can do easily another day.
one of my top planning tips or study tips is: when setting goals, try to write down how long it will take or how long you want it to take. if i have a video i have to watch i will write down what subject its for and how long it should take me. and for me at least, writing what hours im working really helps me. say i study from 2pm to 3pm i will write that down and write down what im studying. it really helps me :) i have no idea if that will help anyone else or if its just a me thing
My best study tip: never underestimate the value of flashcards!! You have to go through all of your notes carefully to be able to formulate the questions for flash cards then write them down on the actual cards, which is valuable studying in itself. Then, with the flashcards you can study anywhere while you are doing anything. I've used flashcards for everything from high school biology to advanced constitutional law in law school!
As someone who isn't normally that keen on planning (it can make me feel confined) these academic planners have been a real game changer for me - they beautifully guide me through a process I used to fear and make it genuinely appealing, which in turn leads to improved results and better mood in general. Also, because I don't live in the UK but am doing English Studies, carrying a planner that is actually from there AND by a fellow literature student makes me feel more connected to my degree; it also makes me feel increasingly motivated every time I look at it. Thank you for making all this possible, Ruby! My top productivity tip, especially for desperate times, would be to ask someone to hold you accountable with your progress. I've introduced a system for when I'm struggling to finish an essay or similar task wherein I have to buy my friend a small chocolate bar or the like every hour if I haven't been writing, or, alternatively, every time I stray and go on social media just for the sake of procrastination. She usually tries to resist me buying that sort of thing for her, but it does help me greatly and I always tell her that and then she accepts. More often than not though, she ends up sharing it on the spot, so in the end, everyone's happy: I have an essay ready and we've shared a moment of snacking together.
The planner is everything I dreamed of and more, just so incredibly lovely!! My top tip is figuring out when you‘re the most and least productive in the day and adjust your studying around that. During your breaks it‘s nice to go outside for a little to get some fresh air and move around and read a book. If you feel very tired there‘s no shame in taking a nap but I‘d recommend not setting your timer for more than 20 minutes because in my experience I feel a lot more tired if I do that.
We launch at 5PM BST (not gmt). Sorry -- British summer time threw me off!
Hey ruby! I just want to say that you are a real inspiration to me. I can't put into words how much you have helped me! You are an amazing person and my grades have improved so much as you help me to be productive. I'm also excited to read your book! Thank you so much,
Take care of yourself
From you no.1 admirer
Yeah amazing videos
I’m so excited for this Ruby! Thanks for always making incredible videos 💜
hey ruby! how much is the planner going to be?
@@Faith-bk9em in the past, it cost 26 pounds for me (which included EU shipping)
I can’t believe that I’m finally, actually in a position where I need an academic planner! Adore the woodland theme, very heartstopper meets cosy autumn
I got hers last year and absolutely loved it can’t wait to buy this one 💜
And I can’t believe I’m actually in the position of not needing an academic planner anymore. Going to write my Master thesis next term. 😱😄
Wish you luck and success on your new academic journey. 😇
@@lilydelacour Oh thank you!😊 Best of luck with your thesis!
I know, I feel the same this year
same!!! first year at university in september at exeter hopefully! god i am terrified. about to buy this journal hehe :)
Oh, I like this!
Omg you are such a boss! That’s so inspiring keep going
@@Green-rp6br thank you so much ❤️
Thanks girlie! Forreal tho, I struggle with burnout and doing too much. And the tip about keeping things in one place is honestly pretty smart :) thanks again
@@speakvedder1331 listen to yourself and make sure to slow down when you're starting to feel drained. Always look after yourself ❤️x
I can’t wait for people to see this planner! I really enjoyed working on this with you and I just know people are going to love it! 🍃
I adore the illustrations and really hope you’ll be working together for the upcoming Yearly Planner as well! The cottage core/forest theme is lovely!
ps. your videos have been the most peaceful escape of mine for years. i am grateful for your content and yourself. so very proud of you as well! sending love & light, Ruby. have a beautiful day (as so soon everyone who’s reading this!). 💛
love this planner so much!!! my top planning tip is to know that you can plan any time of the day.
I agree with you - the privilege of being able and having the resources to educate yourself (and therefore others) is often overlooked
thanks, I feel like I needed to hear this today
Planning tips
Every year reflect.
I like to do say:
9:00-10:30 - Write 10 pages.
Because everything on the outside can feel sorted only when things on the inside are sorted !!
Wishing you a great day today❤️
Great planner.
My top planning tip is to have a set day each week that you do your planning on. So you know that every Tuesday, for example, is planning day. It sets you up for a very organised week.
this is such a good tip , i am definitely going to try it out over the summer ! thank you :))
My planning tip is, when you have a busy day ahead, to plan your day the night before.
Really sweet message, and I honestly really liked your tip, I love visualization and I could see myself trying this out! Thanks for sharing 💕😊
In this way, you will be reminded and motivated and keep on going 💪💪
Have an amazing day everyone! 💚
Thank you so much for another incredible planner
My weekly planning tip -
1) Firstly, I write down all the tasks I want to accomplish. ( I use different colors for different subjects)
2) Then in Google Calendar I slot in all the fixed tasks. (eg: works, online classes, etc.)
3) Then slot in the fun activities (eg: reading books, watching youtube videos, etc.)
4) Then all the studying I need to do.
If I find I don't have enough time to complete all the tasks I set out for the week then I cut down the time spent on fun activities.
Hope this helps someone :)
The planner looks amazing!
I'm going into year 12 soon (eek) so this is very helpful advice thank you :) good luck in your exams!!
@@fig8995 aw thank you ! Good luck to you aswell :)
This year, my first year in university, I discovered my new favorite planning tip, which is that it is more important to have a plan for the week than for the day, as i found that the work I had to do was more time consuming than in high school.
When planning, I make sure my goals are smart goals and if I achieve all my goals, I give myself a nice treat
My top planning tip is: to have a "re-set day" as I like to call it.
Thank you!!
My top orginastion tip is to have a clean and well thought out space to work in that you enjoy looking at.
Also the planner looks amazing :)
my top planning tip is to write everything down even if you think you won't forget it. I love you so much Ruby, thank you for this fantastic planner
