I love team complexity a lot. I like how they play and honestly it feels like a close game each time they play against the big leagues. I want to see them do really really well.
NA scene is in the way it’s at right now because of Covid and ESL. But even prior to that, NA cs had a lot of problems. Players in the scene always cared about egos and reputations over winning. It’s been going around forever and also brought up a lot. You see the same problems in NA Valorant. It’s just the NA mindset.
@@trollface9903 Covid hurt the na scene more than anything else. Took away all tournaments and events in NA and created an eu bubble. Only way for our players to get practice and experience is by being in EU 24/7. But I do agree with what you said about liquid and EG in 2019.

Watched Liquid get 2-0d by Rare Atom today, yikes. I think they lost 16-3 on their own map pick (Overpass). NAF is usually Mr. Reliable but had some trouble, Elige just seems like he doesn't frag like he used to, Yekindar the longer he has been on the team the more his stats seem to decline lately, Osee was just nowhere to be found on map 2, and Nitro had the typical "IGL stats". Inferno vs Liquid seems to be just a free win, no matter who they play.
One thing I dont agree is about osee not performing because of the agressive riflers because jame is way more passive than osee and it worked, maybe its about the teams structure idk, thats just how I see it. Nice video
I feel like this video is missing a deeper exploration of what Yekindar talked about just recently in EPL S17 where the bootcamp was essentially worthless for them coming into the event. They started cold, lost to Rare Atom, and then found their form and crashed their way into playoffs. I'd love to hear you dissect what factors might make it inherently more difficult for NA orgs to be competitive, and maybe what can be done to improve that situation.
did he just say blameF was getting 40k a month ??? god damn i didnt realize CS tier 1 salaries were that high. No wonder the players are always dripped out in Moncler all the time on their IGs lmao
I don't even care that much about NA CS but the video editing was sublime and I was enjoying watching the video for that alone. Content-wise, also great.
This is a wild take that PROBABLY doesn't make sense, but I don't think Osee, Floppy, or NA CS will truly unlock itself until those two are on a team together again. They both unlock eachother, need em on the same squad
Its because people only want to re-sign the same people every year bc theyre too afraid of taking a risk on new talent. NA is hypercapitalist so they minimize risk by gatekeeping
Simple answer - Culture. Ask yourself why there are so many successful Danish players? Well Denmark and Europe in general has built a culture around CS which holds a very high standard so when young players want to go pro they have a very good example of where they need to be to actually go pro which means they are faced with reality very early on and know the amount of work they need to put in to make it. Not to mention the countless Academy teams around Europe helping shape up young players and get them ready for the big stages. NA just doesn't seem to have the same serious approach to the game like Europe does with exceptions of course.
i personally watch and read tweets of NA valorant players and thay are really really ready to switch back to cs again, after source 2 released. I think the biggest reason why NA is not good at cs is that a lot of players switched to Valorant, so there are really really less cs players right now. I mean how are they good at cs when there is no one (who can play competitive) to play? Yes there are people playing cs but, come on, not enough
No country's players are better than another at any esport from what Ive seen. It's always a story of what's more popular. For example, league of legends is extremely mainstream in Korea, and because of that, Korea is easily the best region in league. Denmark, easily the best decorated country in counterstrike, has a strong culture around counter strike. NA players aren't bad, there just isn't enough to compete with EU.
I was smoking that EG copium until they kicked Cerq. Cerq was not the best but he is the "Baby Face Killa". They brought on Wiz and this guy drops 4 ADR games. (💀Insert Dead Emoji💀) I just can't do it anymore EG. I'm dropping EG as my team and I will now be supporting................. whatever team Cerq gets picked up by. Can you make a video about cs mastery. I think it would be a lot of work but I would love to hear you talk about every skill that players can improve on. Ex. Categories like cross hair placement, movement etc
It's sad cuz EG was my favorite team back in 2004-2006 but it's not the same vibe anymore obv. I want them to do well but idk there must be a reason for the NA mindset
NA cs is a big rip due to the average mentality in americans is that money is the most important thing and not the love to the game. So they are loosing the lower layer of good players to other games or if they get good they choose to stream and earn more money. And the lack of good leaders/igls is just the top of the iceberg. One solution is to import players to build a scene, and im not talking one or two players, talking more like in the NHL and get ALOT of players. Also get all the free agent igl, coaches to build up the lower scene and let them get good deals like get payed per player that get drafted to the major teams.
It's definitley not a skill issue. As someone who plays both NA and EU. Largest issue with NA definitley falls under an issue with the community. Whether that be communication issue, toxicity, or cheating. Truth is computer gaming / counterstrike just isnt that popular in America. EU i've easily pushed to LEM-Global and have fluctated between those ranks. NA MG and up is painful. Theres not as much players meaning you either just play cheaters or people that are throwing because toxicisty. My experience in NA CS is say one wrong thing or have one bad play either vote kick or tked or shit talk and no comms. EU theres such a large playerbase where the same issues are still present but less common due to population.
I think most interest in NA is in other games, valorant, apex, fortnite. I think with cs2 we will see more people become aware of the game and start playing it. I played fortnite and apex for years, never tried cs until a week ago. Just wasn’t on my radar. The game just isn’t as popular as the other titles in North America.
Lack of practice is probably the biggest factor. NA had ZERO top 20 players in 2022 (1 if you count Twistzz) I imagine how tough it could be to compete against the best players and systems in the world with no reference point besides demos. Another aspect is clearly financial, there is a lack of support in NA for anyone who doesn't play for Liquid/EG/coL, it's very hard to dedicate yourself to something this strenuous with no financial compensation or stability. Individually, a lot of NA players are selfish, play for stats, are racist etc, that makes it difficult to create teams in general, especially teams with dedicated, talented players who want to win at all cost
everyone tries their best till they’re pro all the sacrifices for nothing. once they’re pro they don’t work enough once there ( i know nothing about the cs scene)
NA Valorant in comparison seems to be in a pretty good spot, and it’s mostly because of former CS players. Good video I’m glad we finally have a realistic NA esports channel, I’m sick of Europeans constantly shitting on NA instead of actually talking about the game
it's in a good spot because the game is still new and most NA players transferred over to valorant while the eu players stayed in cs. wait a few more years for actual talent to grow in the valorant scene and most of these na players are going to lose their place there too
Anyone here who watch football (soccer) can compare EG immediately to PSG, a VERY RICH club operating in 🇫🇷. PSG has been notorious for throwing money around for star players and coaches, and yet not being able to actually be competitive in the Champions League (biggest club competition in Europe) despite their profile and high pay roll. EG is suffering the same fate

I see him hit the craziest flicks you've ever seen where the guy is jump airstrafing at him but then he misses the easiest sitters where the guy slow walks right into his crosshair.
I think something else that plays a role - population disparity when compared to Europe. With the US having less players compared to EU, it means there are less T1 teams to practice against UNLESS they plan to bootcamp in EU - which is also expensive. Why would an org pay for a losing roster to travel to Europe just to get destroyed in every tournament they play? Even if you look at a few T2 EU teams, they would give the US teams like EG, TL, or Complexity a run for their money. It’s tough to say. Any excuse made for NA feels like cope, even for me who is a large NA fanboy. Hopefully more orgs will take a chance on those who may not be in the spotlight, just like Complexity did with the ES boys or EG did with a few of their players too. It’s tough to really find reasons. We will just have to wait and see.
