Omg I love the little raincoat on your dog! So cute! It's always a good sign when you know everything about the story, and it still entertains you! I love the idea of "gardening" when writing. You are planting story seeds and seeing what grows from there! Love that! Best of luck with your first draft! :)
A lovely cosy writerly vlog - thank you! Your dog's raincoat is so precious!! I've never heard the term 'gardener' before...that's really interesting (especially when I think about my own gardening style which definitely mirrors my writing style...kind of me cultivating the wild edges and inviting all the creatures in 😆). I consider myself a pantser/discovery writer...though I pause often to 'outline' once I figure out where I'm going. Sort of. I've tried proper outlining in the past, thinking it'll make life easier for Editing Me, but it never works...so now I just go with the flow (and clean up the mess later 🤣).
"cultivating the wild edges and letting the creatures in" oh!!!! I love that so much, Mel!!! And that's how I love to think about it too. I'm very big on cleaning up later and annoying for Editing Me it'll be worth it to let the story just grow.
You live in a city that is FULL of inspiration (or so I imagine!)... and I love that you have multiple methods (tools) for writing... not chaining yourself to a writer's seat/typewriter (which is always how I envision writers). You're make it look so easy... oh and by the way...That rain coat is soooo cute on Ginger
Haha thank you! I'm glad I'm making it look easy and hopefully it starts to feel that way soon lol Also, that's very true about the city being full of inspiration. Once Halloween is over, I'll head outside and get some writing done.
