I was expecting him to shape the burger with a slight dip in the middle for even-cooking at what would otherwise be the thickest and slowest to cook part, but then I think the ice cube tackles the same problem in a better way.
Great tips. Also, if you don’t want your burgers to shrink as much, when forming them you could put a little indent in the middle and this will prevent them from shrinking as much.

No no no. NO. Do not put ice on your burger, not only will it do the opposite of cooking them evenly, it will make your burgers watery. Don't know where the hell he saw this but that's the dumbest cooking advice Ive ever seen.

Or you know to keep them juicy 1. Don’t squish the patty while it’s on the grill 2. Don’t over cook it, cook it to a nice medium and 3. Get meat that has a nice lean to fat ratio, most preferably 80% lean to 20% fat. You are all very very welcome😁

i thought that just prevented them from cupping. it’s always gonna shrink, jus make sure you flatten them out.
