  • Don't get me wrong, I love my iPad Pro 11". But I'm also aware that you pay a premium for a couple extra features over the iPad Air 2020.
If you will appreciate the 120hz screen, the better sound, and maybe even the extra camera, then for sure, go for the iPad Pro.
The iPad Pro also has a better M1 chip over the A14 Bionic, as well as more RAM, but in daily use, most people will be perfectly happy with the iPad Air 4. I would recommend everyone who isn't a techie to choose the iPad Air and spend the extra money on the Magic Keyboard and maybe even the Apple Pencil.

I can’t speak to the capabilities of the Pro, but as an iPad Air user, I have never experienced any lack of power whether it be gaming, high res videos or everyday tasks. I simply cannot see any scenarios in which regular people might need the Pro. I think the pro shines when it comes to professional work use, and if you just want the best of the best.

I'm getting the pro bc I love tech but I may never use it to its capacity. I use mainly for browsing and media consumption

Brilliant video my friend, although I'm biased towards iPad Pro for the extras 😆

Awesome comparison! but I think I'll go for the 128 gb pro version instead og 256 gb air. My main purpose of getting an ipad is to note in physics and math classes but I want to do some gaming as well and I don't think I'll be needing that much of a storage anyways. Hope I don't regret it!

Yes both are practically same in all aspects, but the biggest deciding factor for me is that Fast and Fluid Promotion (120Hz) display. In a touch and feel device like ipad every minute changes related to display matters more than anything.
U may not see any speed difference between those chips but it is apparent in screen compared to Air's 60Hz.

Yeah I really love the 120hz as well

I bought an Air 4 as my 1st iPad last year and still love using it. Keep thinking about upgrading to m1 Pro but resist since I'd be losing a lot of money. My Galaxy S21 Ultra and 3080ti gaming pc run high fps, and I miss that on my iPad. I'll probably hold out on upgrading my iPad though until the OS gets that much-needed overhaul it deserves.

It depends on how.. picky you are. My GF draws a lot, and she doesn't notice it. Meanwhile I notice the 60hz difference just scrolling Facebook.. It's really up to you.

One other difference that you didn’t mention is the RAM difference between the two, I suspect most people won’t notice but it can be a factor.
Also the M1 generally is stronger in both CPU and GPU I believe

True. I did actually have planned to talk about ram, but decided against it, as it doesn't make a big difference, with iPadOS 15 being too limited. It might make a difference with future software updates, so maybe I should have talked a bit about that. Thanks for the feedback though

Can i ask if you can use your ipad like a laptop? Like really a laptop where you can alt tab easily by just pressing alt+tab. Like can it function like a laptop/computer if need be? Because im considering to buy an ipad instead of a laptop just so i can discourage myself to play computer games and focus more on studying and all 😂 but im yet to own an apple device so i really dont know anything.

Yeah, the keyboard functions like it would on a Mac with alt-tabbing, cmd+c for copy and so on. However, it’s not totally a computer, and it lacks a lot of pro software.

Why do you think that? I think it's really good, especially for the price.
