Y’all got to understand, some foodies don’t post every experience. You have to use your common sense. For the foodies who do post their bad experiences, they get negative comments for it. You just can’t satisfy people.

To get off the subject- I'm 74 and living Down Neck. When I was a kid my father took me to wrestling matches at Sussex Av and Jay St. The sight of the Newark Armory! What memories!😂 anyway, I'll checking out the food !!😂

@@MattDV HI! Wrestling was a big deal in the 50's and 60's. I'm 74 and seen all the heros and villains at the Newark Armory. Bruno Sammartino , Iron Sheik, Killer Kowalski, the Graham Brothers, Haystack Calhoon and the midget wrestlers ! The best of times for a kid growing up !

That’s my mechanic shop right there I’ve been going to them since 1990 they are honest and good . Right across the street from the restaurant
I use to pass there all the time. They are always busy. Watch them DOGS though. LOL

I grew up on Jay street, your right in the middle of everything. I went to kebab house last Sunday and the food was very good, and the owner was so sweet.

My favorite sides to get are cabbage/collards mixed or seperated , and green beans , my go to fish is whiting, but that's a healthy helping of catfish that i will try,never had catfish, now I don't play bout my mac n cheese, I'm not expecting for everybody's mac and cheese to be as satisfying as my own, but at least i need for people's mac and cheese to have enough cheese on it , I'm sick of these restaurants giving you more pasta ,than cheese,a certain type of restaurant shall remain nameless i went too saturday ,put them in teenytiny ramekins that you would serve toddlers, I need to have some leftovers when I go out to eat, well let me stop rambling, the food looks so good 👍🏽

A friend of mines own that spot I went there thinking he was still there 4 sum turkey chops he makes and and ran into them the fried turkey chop was amazing she was a sweetheart she took good care of me and the homie I got the Rasta pasta with the turkey chops so good everything is fresh made and them candy yums is everything the drink was $5 but they was great

Hi Marc it’s not black food it’s soul food , but she calls her place beyond Soul. It’s not a black thing all can enjoy soul food . Soul food actually has a strong origin in the south, and has deviated from its origins.
