I make them with onion, green onion, mustard, oregano, egg, olives and (sometimes answering my husband's prayers) I also add cubed French fries, they're my husband's favorite, today I bought 2kg of minced meat and tomorrow I have to make several dozen ♥
Each country has a version of empanadas, even in Argentina we have many versions, meat ones are the most common, but there are also chicken, spinach, corn, ham and cheese, in the north of the country they are spicier and some have potatoes , others are made with meat cut with a knife, they can be baked or fried, obviously fried are tastier
In Malaysia there is also a food like this, this food is called Karipap.. The named Kari is Curry in English.. because there is curry powder used to make the filling inside.. Thank you, I can also try to cook this Argentinian food, Empanadas.😘

In southeast asia especially Malaysia we call it kuih karipap with variety of filling from potatoes to sweet potatoes to meat to chicken to sardines you name it..but most importantly the main ingredient for the filling is added curry powder with it...yummy and yummy and yummy...but we deep fried it instead bake it...

In Argentina actually the shape changes depending on the filling! There are many different types of fillings, but i doubt they taste the same because ive heard you use curry for karipap? That is not a common ingredient here!
