Welcome to Peterson Family Farm. On this TH-cam channel, we plan to show viewers what happens on a real life family farm in Kansas. From working with animals, to planting seeds, to harvesting grain, to putting up hay, to fixing equipment, you'll get to see what farming is like! Our farm is a 5th generation farm started in 1882 by our great great grandparents. We grow wheat, corn, soybeans, milo, sunflowers, and forages and we feed about 1,000 head of cattle. To learn more about it, watch our channel intro video here: • Welcome to Our New You...

This brought back a lot of memories of growing up in Wichita. Before moving to Wichita in the 50's ,my father and his brother each bought a combine ( International) and grain truck and joined a harvest crew that combined wheat from the Texas border to North Dakota. I will always remember the hardships they suffered weather wise but the rewards of a successful harvest. I always enjoy following your harvest season and am glad to see the harvest yields increase from year to year. Gods Blessings for a successful year.

You always have such brilliantly beautiful sunsets in Kansas! What a pretty place to have a farm! So glad you got to have 3 days in a row to rest up on that weekend---Friday, Saturday, and Sunday---to be able to push hard to finish up the wheat harvest after the 1.5" of rain. Glad you didn't have any hail that might have damaged some of the crops! Hope you do get some more rain for your fall crops before they can get harvested! The little blond toddler eating the cookie is so cute!!

Thanks for the great video and drone shots. The drone shots were absolutely wonderful. To me the drone shots with the music instill America The Beautiful in us. Then combined with the combine and machinery in the field is what farming is all about. God bless America and the Peterson Family. Just great. Was interesting all you where doing to complete the harvest. Busy busy time on the farm. Sorry you were short on help. Been there done that. Wish I lived down the road would be glad to help. The meal time food looked good. Outstanding meals in the field. Thanks for your time to do the video so we can follow along. Appreciate that. May god watch over all of you. Take care and be safe. Thanks. Iowa farm boy from years ago.

Glad you guys where able to get wheat done up. Unfortunately NW Nebraska got hit hard last night with storms and I fear we last a lot of crops. We had a lot of baseball/softball sized hail with the storms. Talking to a buddy who works for local case dealership said a lot of fields of both wheat which we just started on corn beans and sugar beets got completely wiped out.

It's funny what we all say about the weather and rain. Just a few short weeks ago I was "complaining" and wishing for rain because everything was so dry (unusual for us here in north Florida). I wanted to burn some brush piles. Since then we have gotten so much rain that some of the creeks and rivers here are flooding (thanks to Elsa).
Now I'm wishing for a day that it doesn't rain...
