I've looked it three times now... and,Sir Jason,... holy cow,where is reindeers shiny red nose???
I'm not amused!!!
A missing fact... godfather of palettes and rusty nails... he lost a fact!!!
Never happend before!!!
Otherwise a real lovely creation... you're a real artist!!!
I enjoy your coming in, mountains and mountains wasted wood... all on workbench... a questionmark in your eyes...: where am I, what's going on in here... and where is my mom???

Well, now we know. We watched him make it lol. That was a LOT of work, and steps to do that deer. I watched him make a swing box from wood too...it is FABULOUS! My Mom has o e very similar, but not a big and nice as the one he made. I would LOVE to have that! He's a great woodworker. 👏👏👏👏🤛

Absolutely. I so wish, I had the option of getting deeper into woodworking...but I live in a small appartement, so having a workshop isn't an option.
It's a marvelous craft.

Eric... this is so wonderful. Scraps turned into a thing of beauty. My brother and his wife have cut, shaped, sanded and beautiful painted wooden ornaments for many years. The populous called it 'shabby chic'... except they took they same care, devotion and skill you take. This is heirloom quality and I honour you for your skill, patience, time and love you put into each item. It's a joy to watch. Thank you xxx

Most people would look at the wood on your table and see an old window frame and some pallet pieces.
You, on the other hand, see…..a reindeer! This is truly a labor of love. I am sure the repetition of glueing, clamping, sanding the dried glue, cutting, repeat, repeat, repeat must get a bit tedious and time consuming, but when that block of wood you ended up with becomes a stunning reindeer, it is all worth it. It is gorgeous.
I got a bit confused when you drew the side view of the reindeer, and then you turned the wood around and drew the front view. I wondered how they were going to work together, but I should never have doubted that there was a plan. Another work of art to be treasured every year.

When I was a little girl my dad used to go out to the backyard, hand-planing, sawing and painting carpentry projects. The one I remember was a red table for our TV, but he did many more than that. He hasn't done any carpentry for several decades now, but watching you brings me back to that time and how magical it always seemed. Thanks for your wonderful videos, and merry early Xmas :)

I watched every step, Jason, but still couldn't figure out how you got the basic shape cut out. I guess my brain only works in TWO dimensions. D'OH! Brilliant watch as ever, you VERY clever so n so. I assume you kept this one for festive family celebs. Don't worry if you don't want to let on, but do you advertise all your stuff for sale AFTER you've thought them up and built them, or are they all commision jobs?
