Can tell he isn't a huge gear nerd. Some guys know the exact number of plies bearing edges etc and some just worry about playing more. Great drummer tho. Solid

He's always going to live in Joey's shadow but Jay gets so much shit. He's so fucking good and technical. IDGAF what ANYONE says. Jay was/is the right replacement for Joey. It couldn't have been anyone else.

Why do they never actually show you what things sound like on rig tours? Nobody does it. I can't for the life of me understand why. Hit a tom, show me the difference between your splashes, I don't care it's through a camera mic, I just want an impression. You're a musician, not a plywood salesman.

Wow, at the end he mentions reviewing the footage from the GoPros. I always enjoy watching those drum cams but I didn't realize he was using them as a tool to get better. Good on you, Jay!
