Yeah there's a good chance this could be what's happening especially if Ecto doesn't make it. There's certain aspects I feel are good and then some things aren't as favorable but such is capitalism.
No they definitely are. They said this new crowdfund model is going hand in hand with the Haslab model. It just depends on what character/project they wanna try to get to fans
I got 2, I have the haslab one as well. I think this is the way they should do things now, let people order them for a month and then make those instead backing something that might not get made.
I don't mind either model if the product hits just sucks to pay for it a whole year ahead of time. I've backed Kickstarters because I want to support a creator so it's not foreign to me so I just want one Haslab that really makes me put my money down no questions asked.
Alright? I didn't get Unicron because Hasbro decided to try and fleece anyone outside of North America. But then they set up HasLab in the UK and I no longer had that excuse! So far I've gotten Star Sabre as he's my favourite Cybertron, Deszaurus, the Spengler Proton Pack, the Two in the Box (still feckin' waiting for that to arrive. I said they set one up here, with how long it takes to bloody get the thing I paid for a year ago they might as well post if from America!) and I've backed both versions of the Ecto-1/1A. It makes my blood boil that a multi-billion dollar company asks us to pay a year in advance for these things, meaning our dosh is at risk if anything happened, not theirs, but when are we going to see these things again? G1 Star Sabre is far more expensive, all the Proton Packs out there that haven't been fan-built look like they were designed by my 8 year old self watching RGB, and we've never had a 6" scale Ecto-1, so getting mugged is pretty much the only choice. I hate myself for it, but I'm hating myself whilst playing with my toys!
Backing a Haslab seems like you have to wipe your memory of ordering it but backing multiple projects should afford you some kind of reward while waiting lol. Galactus is one of the coolest ones to me followed by the Proton Pack and Star Sabre. Just haven't found the one I want yet 😮💨
Hasbro makes toys so be happy if they continue making toys. They may stop in the future. I'm seeing alot of big babies crying and complaining way to much. I heard they are moving away from action figures. If they do another Haslab then support it if it's worth it.

@oreomega2545 I know Ryan confirmed with Boog, it's future will just be dictated by the number of successful projects going forward.
