Yes it is pronounced Beast - it was fashioned as B2st because 2 in korean is prounced 'ee' so strung together its B'ee'st - i think they ended up dropping at some point because it got confusing and they just went with Beast (if my memory serves me right...) Also beast from the east refers to a snow storm that was meant to hit the UK a couple of years ago but never quite happened - I remember it was plastered all over weather news for a fair few weeks but nada - they do seem to have got it right this year - never seen so much snow in November before!
