there's actually been river and sea zoras in the same game for decades, oracle of ages has sea zoras and even jabu-jabu, and then there's river zoras being enemies like they've always been up to that point
Sonic adventure 2 came out in 2001, Sonic heroes came out in 2003. He’s back to being a bad guy in 2003, with no memory of Sonic adventure 2, so not sure if I did, actually!
@@dyneeoh dark team story rougue finds him(after his “death” in sonic adventures 2) and he have amnésia, in the middle of the story they have the whole “shadow is a robot” shebang the ending of sonic heroes he is strugglying with the thought of him being a robot, in shadow 2006 the whole point is he finding out he is not a robot and keeping up with maria wishes, in the end he Beats black doom and finally resolves the ghosts of his past, in sonic 06 he works with the GUN, mephiles tries to “manipulate” him like blackdoom did, but since he already over his past he can’t manipulate shadow anymore, now he only fights for humanity, even if the humans hates him he will fight for humanity, no matter what, he is literally the best writen character in sonic universe, his story was never “rectoned” even in shadow generations they build his story even more

But recton did happen in sonic franchise, blaze the cat is from another dimension in sonic rush, while in sonic 06 she is from the future
