My stays at the Ritz Carlton have always been wonderful everything is catered but one stay in Beijing left a bad impression as I am 15 I thought it was just a little creepy as one of the pool staff followed me and my brother around including into the bathroom....

I've been lucky enough to stay long time (6 months) between both the Ritz Carlton's in Shanghai. I must say that the service is top notch! But it's not the best, they still can't Match the service at legacy Ritz like Paris.

You can get deals on hotel discount site. It will still be expensive, but one night for a staycation, to have the experience is doable. With planning and saving, it can be a 'bucket list' item.
