Is the Shimano Curado Dc still worth it In 2023? Curado DC after 3 years of heavy fishing! I would argue that this is the best beginner baitcaster reel! Is the Curado DC the BEST Baitcaster?

I use mine the the StCroix Musky 7'6" , it has never disappointed me!
Landed my best large mouth ever @11.6lbs.
I bought it for a fishing trip to Florida, and everyday the winds where at 20knots.
Not once did I ever have a backlash!
That bass had not chance, I landed him in 15 secs..

Bro the 200 zig is what I have and it works great if you can find the curado rod for it do that do it is a great med heavy rod. Also goes good with the aesthetic of the reel.

I have the slx dc & the curado dc both amazing reels! Not once have i been disappointed. Ive fell in the rivers i fish and got them wet and dirty but they always get the job done nice and smoothly 👌 its worth the money

I fish with the exact set up lol. I love my St Croix mojo bass rods as much as my Shimano reels

I have the cheaper one SLX DC but I just bought the curado DC 200 and I love both of them
I am hinting of grabbing an SLX DC for testing! I love my curado dc and think the SLX will make a great adddition to the family!
@TUFFBASS honestly for the money you can't beat the SLX and that's 100% I have had it for a year now zero issues and I dropped it in the water twice

@TUFFBASS yes I owned the Shamano Scropion too but I didn't like that one. And the drag sucked on that one. I don't know if I had just a crappy one but definitely SLX and Curado I would go for.
@@MartellOutdoorsdrags are super easy to replace. And only cost a few bucks for top of the line material.
Im looking for a reel that can handle high casting speeds with a stupid long rod (9”6’) does the digital chip handle pretty well when you load your rod and send your crank flying into space?
Oh yes it definitely handles that great. I have used it to bomb swimbaits into infinite! You will love it!

It is 100% waterproof so no issues, get it as wet as you want

I am not sure what model of BC would be suitable for saltwater, I think the fishing reel I reviewed most recently is saltwater ready, and it is DC

You don’t need to out your thumb on the line ?
You still should have it on the spool when the lure hits the water to make sure you Don’t get any backlash.
