Great to see you back Mike, don't sell that machine, they come in really do come in handy, good to see your Grandad is still running around with you as well, looking forward to see what you've got coming up, is that a pneumatic hammer attachment for the Ford Backhoe. Keep up the great work my friend. 🇬🇧
22:28 That's designed to be a "pivot" for the loader frame. The idea is that it's a fulcrum that transfers weight to the rear axle instead of keeping it all on the front. Those industrial fords are very, very stout machines. One of the absolute best out there, next to a 580 Case IMO. It may be pertinent to reseal that injection pump, they're a pretty simple one and if the seals dry rot they can put diesel in the crankcase. New paint, a seat, and some hoses and she'll be cherry!
Some paint (either the yellow it is, or the Ford blue that there is on it), a new seat cushion, then good to go for another couple decades..Lol! You nailed a deal for sure.
great job you did there. If I were you, I would install an additional weight at the front. It's definitely nicer to drive if you want to transport something in the back. Greetings from Germany Rainer
Hey buddy good to see a video from you. You got a good deal on that man. With the problem it has & it's running really good too & not knowing what problem it had. I am with you on the cold weather man. I hate winter time man. I am a summer time guy that loves wearing t-shirts , shorts , & flip-flops 🩴& kayaking & kayak camping. It's awesome how you saved it from the Junk yard man. Good video buddy thanks you for sharing this video buddy.
Nice to see your content again ! I did notice the backhoe part moving a little from the tractor when you were using it. I don't know how it is attached but it might be a good idea to have a look at it. Cheers, Ard P.s. You could do a video on your current fleet and projects with what's to come ?
Was really surprised to see a new segment out. As you can see we haven't given up on ya. Put some paint on the old tractor, make it look newer..............................
Definitely put tubes in ALL the tires. It’s my opinion that any not used on the highway benefits from having tubes. I would be shocked if they don’t have tubes in them already. Should have came that way from the factory.
If it's going to stay outside I would put a 5gl or a smaller bucket over the exhaust pipe so you don't get water into the engine it looks like a nice old Ford backhoe it looks like you have lots of hydraulic lines that needs to be replaced when you are pulling stumps out you might want to fill your front bucket with dirt or stone so you have extra weight on the front to keep the front wheels on the ground lol or just skup up the stumps with the front bucket
You might really like a thumb on that rear bucket, you could find a nice kit, or you're more than capable of making a static thumb too. I always enjoy you're videos keep up the good work
You got a good deal well a great deal if it was me I would never sell it you get better at running the backhoe you can make really good money with it. Drill jar for cable
Hey Cletus get the gun and call the cops somebody's trying to steal our backhoe loader for $600 L.O.L. Man you got way lucky on that machine scrap up here in Canada's about 300 a ton from what I heard this week, that machine weighs way more than that a ton unprepared. I've just paid $1500 for a complete factory original Fordson major tractor in about the same condition without a backhoe and loader to stop it getting scrapped. luckily I got it running and driving easily to, it weighs quite a bit with a full set of factory cast wheel weights that pushed the price higher. Thanks for sharing, Take care
*Dude, what an absolute STEAL Mike!!* 😦 I know the oil had water, but I think that broken manifold kept too much water from the engine and saved it in the long run. Very satisfying to see it move from that brush it was setting in. Don't think I didn't see that old Louisville Ford, lowboy trailer and Mack in the background!! 👀👀
Hey Mike! Great buy. You will have use for that no doubt. Long interesting video. You told me to say when... Now ive got my channel more active! Finally I got the balls to post some videos of my stuff. Inspired from you and others. Take a look if you want. /Oskar
Nice nice score its a wonder a scrapper did find that hoe. When the prices were sky high. As for the cold is why I moved from Lebanon CT to Bennettsville SC Near South of the Border. Yes it get cold down here not as bad as CT. We have no snow banks to work in why your car break down. I miss that NOT LOL LOL.
If the 4500 is the same as my triple nickel you will be able to turn the key counter clockwise one position it should heat the intake manifold and then turn it counter clockwise to the 2nd position will start the engine while heating the intake manifold but I am curious did they use it to dig graves because the bucket you were using looks very similar to the perfect size for graves? 😀🇨🇦
Not for hired the man with the wrench in hand …………… I’m gonna nickname you the (((((((junk whisperer of Connecticut ))))))I think that’ll be a good name the (((((((junk whisperer))))))every time you touch something that comes to life…. by the way it was great to see your grandfather out walking around …..telling you holy Christ look how big that stump was… I thought for sure TH-cam without your bleep that out it was good to hear him what’s the 96 now Well kid if anybody deserves it you do,,,,,,,,great score on the back hoe. I recommendation when you get around to it,,,,, with everything else…I get some chains to chain up your outriggers on the machine sitting or when it’s going down the road….unless there’s a lock on there that I missed…. On the newer machines that’s just me!!!!!!!!! I’m all about safety making sure nothing happens,,,, you gotta get a cover on all those controls,,,,someday when we meet face-to-face ……… I’ll tell you a story about my bobcat with the water getting in on electronics and $2500 out of my pocket to make it run so I can sell it,,,,,,,,,, ouch and it was a 2001 773 high flow keep up the great work keep up the great videos don’t forget you gotta get your garden in the ground with your grandfather take care Sam bacon
Hey buddy! I'll get some chains for the out riggers! Looking forward to hearing that story someday! He's 97! Thanks for sticking around I really appreciate you!

New paint, a seat, and some hoses and she'll be cherry!
Definitely worth keeping.
I had that machine running in December, I got another excavator out of there running as well. That’s my can of ether laying under it 😂
Some paint (either the yellow it is, or the Ford blue that there is on it), a new seat cushion, then good to go for another couple decades..Lol! You nailed a deal for sure.
Have to agree. Some paint and a wirewheel over the rust is a game changer for the machine.
My dad had one just like that. He broke the swing chain on the backhoe because he was pushing a stump sideways. Other than that it was a good machine.
Glad to see a video out my brother. Hope the old man is good. They don't makeum like the use to.
Slime fixed my riding lawnmower front tire leak too. Good stuff for tubed tires!
NO WAY! Guess im just sitting on the couch for the next hour!
Another great video! Please keep them coming more often.
It sure is great to see you making videos again. I always enjoy whatever you produce.
A geat find! Onward!

Nice to see your content again !

Cheers, Ard
P.s. You could do a video on your current fleet and projects with what's to come ?
Hell of a deal. If you did one job with it, the machine would pay for itself.
That's a good buy, well worth keeping and doing a working restoration 👍👍
Was really surprised to see a new segment out. As you can see we haven't given up on ya. Put some paint on the old tractor, make it look newer..............................
