WOW man those look and sound solid!! There's no clacking around when you were landing those jumps over the cones. The color is really cool outside too.
I wanna skate soooooo bad but here in Oregon.... theres very stormy weather and no local indoor parks. Wont be dry for a least 2 months but hey maybe in a month or 2 I might have a good stretch of days.

I turned 30 like 2 weeks ago but back in the early 00's when I started, one of the top 2 or 3 guys in town skated some cream colored M12's.
So many other people were skating TRS alpha's, or Razor icon 2's, and Cults. But Robbie was his name and that guy was linking tricks making the rest of us on the local top-10 list not wanna call him out for a game of BLADE. XD
i think it‘s funny rhat the overal design hasn‘t changed over the years. i bladed in the late 90s (i think?) and i had these. almost same design. back in the day we also rode k2‘s and i also had some razors with a white blade (i think they were the first park blades from razor)
@@namesashhousewares8337 That's what my buddies & I skated back in the late 90s lol! K2 & Roces. I absolutely loved when I upgraded from K2 to Roces & then shortly after (2002ish) I quit skating. I'm buying some Roces Nils very soon & can't wait to start skating again
I love my M12s! Such a simple clean classic boot that forces you to skate better. If your foot is narrow enough these are damn near the perfect skate especially with an Intuition liner.
I totally agree. Definitely my best buy in the last 3 years! Can't wait untill im used to them.

Im still on my Valo AB13 who are basically a M12 Roces, I think does skates are so much more stylish than most of the brands out there and feel super natural on the foot. Once you get use to them you will love them ;)

Dope video man, Roces is all time!! There are a few little tricks you can do to make skating them far more pleasurable, ie. Waxing the inside of the boot and using WD40 on the cuff bolts.. Just tightens up the experience and makes them deadly quiet. Welcome to the best skates out there ✨

you should have seen us in the 90s. doing saltos over stuff in m12s, and we didint really use helmets either ahahha. it was nuts back then, i remember once where i had way way to much speed and my skate hit wrong on the half pipe and i flew straight into a tree trying to do a bayo ahaha shit hurt like crazy. but was out again the day after it. keep up the good work buddy

For a near 30 minute video, it sure did fly by. The skates look really nice. I don’t hate chocolate but I’m not really into it. Have always been vanilla. Lol. You do that backslide to alley oop top soul effortlessly. Any tips? I think royale to alley oop top soul is popular switch up but I’ve never figured it out.

I can only stall it effortlessly haha cant grind it. Its much easier then top soul stalling. I just did it every skate for years and now i know it.
Back in 98 I had the fifth elements . . I miss them skates .

I had the first gen m12’s back in the mid 90’s. Absolutely loved them. Kinda a shame rices haven’t come up with anything new lately tho.

Awesome finally the video i been waiting for!! Your skates are so awesome!!! Color skates looks nice when riden. I get compliments at my local skatepark all the time my skates are red. Im gunna order a skate bag sometime i been carrying my skates on a gym puma bag lol they fit good.

I think there is a good reason OG boots like the M12 are still around, plastics and manufacturing may have advanced but a foot hasn't changed much. Rub some wax into the areas that are rubbing and it should help with quieting it down. Damn buddy beat me to the stealth skate tips

I love my Roces - they feel so solid. Btw totally with you on that weird feeling of skating on your own when there are other people around - I get really self conscious. Hard to break that. Are there no other skaters near you by the way?

I can understand why ✌🏻. Yeah hard it sucks. Really bad when youve gotta talk to a camera by yourself haha. I got like 1 dude to skate with, we usualy just film street stuff tho. Been stacking clips for a while now.

Hows the helmet? Have the same one on the way. Didn’t like how the S1 helmets work.
Its the only helmet I've ever used but I have no problems with it. It keeps sweat out of my face very well and is very comfy.
Might have to get a pair, I always liked my valo tv3s..these will be less bulky and lighter. Nice skating man. I love chocolate 🍫

I do wonder if in another twenty years Roces will still be making this skate?
If it ain't broke don't fix it and all that, but it would be nice for them to maybe look at a different type of aggressive boot. It just feels like they've got their money making formula down now and that's it. Every now and then they do small runs of the M12 in a different colourscheme, maybe change something else little - job done.
It'd be cool if they carried on doing this, but maybe also started making something new!

The m12 are real slim. I've read that people go 1 to 1.5 size bigger than the usual size they get. Had the Oli shorts in 11 and they fitted like a 10/10.5 compared to other skates.
I heard the same but I sized down haha this is the smallest sized skates Ive ever bought. Usualy a 10.5 i got these in a 10us
@@BrandonDrummond good to hear! I'm waiting for a pair of white ones! Getting a pair of 10.5. I tried the Thems and the 9-10 boot was too tight and was afraid the 11-12 would be too loose for my feet so I sent them back for the m12. I hope they fit!

How's the soul space mate? I have a pair of UFS M12's that I bought second hand , the soul space was pretty worn down and not sure whether to fork out for a new pair of souls if they are small feeling. Great vid by the way, really enjoyed it!
They're definitely small feeling but they work. Once you're used to it it feels much better. Less floaty
@@BrandonDrummond Yeh man, I actually bought some black SSM souls to maybe do a mod onto the M12's but they looked too big so ended up putting the ssm souls on my Navy Blue Razor Cults as they fit better. I love how the M12's feel though, so responsive and light, think I'm gonna give them a good run in tomorrow and maybe order some new plates.
The valo two piece soul plate (for skinned boots) is wider and fits. Fits with a bit of extra lip where the skin is meant to go though

Hello, thanks for great content. Do the regular m12 (the cheaper ones) come with a raised heel? And is there any difference in the width of them? What would be the reason to get the Atkinsons compared to the regular?
Hey. Yes the cheap ones have a raised heel. They are the same boot mold so same width etc. The cuffs, wheels and frames are the only difference. The Pro versions (Atkinson, Jansons) have much better quality wheels & frames. The cheaper ones are still great tho. Well worth the price. Ricardo Lino is making a comparison I'm pretty sure if you want more detail. I hope that helps

I had a 5min skate on my freinds one time. They were so different. The souls were soooo fast!

I'm buying a new pair of skates as soon as possible. And I've been torn between the m12 lo, them, or razors shift2. Only reason I want the razors is for the new reign liners and that fatass soul plate. But God the roces just look so well made and responsive
Trevor New If it wasn’t for my wide duck feet I would choose M12 right away. However, I’m really starting to like Thems I just wish Jon Julio has them in this navy color.

The m12s will be much more responsive then the shifts. If you have a friend with some. Try them on. If they fit, definitely get the m12s theyre perfect.

I’ve had both them 908’s and Roces M12. I can personally say, I enjoyed the M12’s ALOT better. Everything feels more natural.
100% agree at this point. The m12 is way more responsive. Feels much better
i love my thems but i also grabbed both the new m12 lo's and also i have to say they are great, i LOVE that they come in a 10 shell they fit perfect. i went and also pre ordered the new nils model also. something about the new m12 feels great and i like the lower cuff compared to the older higher m12's
Yeah that old cuff looked terrible. They've definitely made it better with the Lo cuff. I aggree, the smaller size is dope!

I throwed the laces and used some myfit checker laces with silicone print for my m12‘s. Now the boot works perfect.
I did notice the laces are very thin. I have a feeling ill need to replace the liner first. It doesnt feel like it'll last.
Funny thing is I had a dream about those roses and I was rocking them but your telling me how good they are lol sorry weird but it is what it was a dream lol

btw I have like semi-wide feet idk how'd these fit me because im like either a 7.5 in wide skate or an 8 in most other skates so, plus hows is the shock absorber good in these skates if there one
I would definitely try some on before buying. There is no shock absorber I have no trouble with the shock absorption. But i came from thems and they had weird dips in the heels that hurt. My friend had trouble with grounds shock on m12s tho too
Hey just use a usd/powerslide insole and replace the insole those fit the skate perfectly

This video makes me miss skating so much! I really need to by a pair of skates. I moved to NYC a year ago... and haven't skated for about 20 years. This would be one hell of a time for me to get back into some street skating!

Just want ask you somethink because what i see on another model like aeon from USD they have so bigger soul plate than this M12. And I never skate like a "aggressive" skates maybe 8 year back on some inline skates :D It will be hard learn grind tricks on M12 ? (sry for my ENG and thanks if u answer)
and if you read this what a different between this Roces M12 LO Sesame Team 2019 Complete Skates and Joe Atkinson version ? (I see just two smaller wheels and joe´s skates have 4 wheel same size)
Hey Cheers man. The smaller soulplate does take some getting used too. But if you learnt to skate on the M12 you'll be sweet! M12s rule!

How do you find the liner? I skate aeons and I love how you can heat mold the liner and downsize. Wanted m12s since I was 16 glad to see they're still awesome.

The liners are tight at first but break in really nice. I think they wont last tho. I get the impression theyll fall apart very quick. Ive never tried heat molded liners. Sounds good tho.
@@BrandonDrummond you might be surprised, my first pair of aggressive skates were m12 and the liner was still good after 6 years.

Really enjoying your videos dude! Your skating is nice and smooth, even on new skates. I do notice that your topside grinds are actually switch. I see your main soul foot is your right one, so all topsides should be in the same direction but with the left foot over the ledge. Unless I've been wrong for over 20 years 😂

got mine 2 months ago and love them. i put anti's in the middle but i wanna switch back to flat 60 soon, just cant tell if i'll be able to skate ledges with them. i guess it will teach me to get low
The stock frames work for me somehow. Flat skating just takes time. If antis more fun for you Id stick with that tho.

I only went to anti because i'm a returning skater and wanted to skip straight to grinding stuff. now that I have more confidence and most of my tricks back, i'm gonna give flat an honest shot. i'll definitely need it for skating bowls!!!

How is the sizing? I'm size 8, should i get a size smaller?
If you have anyway to try them on Id do that. Otherwise I'd recommend staying to your normal size. Think I had just been buying slightly too bigger skates my whole life

personally im not a fan of that heel raise and excess material used to make it. im so used to carbon boots where ill use padding for shock absorbion which also raises the heel and provides more support. if u try nd put a nice thick insole in those boots ull lose alot of stability

@@BrandonDrummond I feel something like that when I put down razors' antishocks on Brian Shima' boots. There is some models where it doesn't need it .Thus, I would like to buy some light roces and skate without any heelraised boots😀.

I cant use roces because they look way too old too me, it was like the first skates i saw when i was a kid.. at this poing if I move from them I'd probably get gawds

@@BrandonDrummond They are updating materials and the plates.. now they will change all the boots material too so my skate will feel likr a cheep copy T.T
Im glad hes fixing them but it does suck for us who brought them at the start.
