    Lower Oilcan is definitely one of my favorites on Fromme, that drop at 13:00 is so good with the fast chunky landing, the Range just devours it. Another awesome video

    Hi Dale,
    Recently been looking into getting a new hardtail xc bike and one of the things I’ve been picky about is the suspension. I currently use a entry level bike with spring forks and would like to upgrade to air fork for the better quality and performance. However my ideal budget would only allow for me to get a low end set of air forks. Would I be better off going for more high end coils as I may see the similar performance as the air forks?

    • @DaleStone
      @DaleStone  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In the XC space their are no good coil forks that I'm aware of. Weight is a key factor in XC that coil will never be designed for.

    • @MikeKraemer87

    • @DaleStone

      When the Ontario limestone gets wet, it leeches a soap like slime that is impossible to get any grip on. Whereas when BC granite gets wet it often gets gripper as the dust disappears. Geology is cool eh? 🤓

    Dale sorry to be a pain, ive just started riding locally and my local bike store that isnt trek or giant :) carries a large NORCO range. so ill prob go with them.. whats the best NORCO bike for someone who wants to build up fitness/cardio and climb, do more techy stuff than fast flowing jump trails, do some more long distance 40-55 km riding on trails but with some smaller jumps etc. ill be honest some of the write ups can be confusing as to what to buy for what you want etc.
