- We found the best party in Malaysia at the Sarawak Rainforest World Music Festival.
We were also happy to be re-united with our friend @KenAbroad whom we met during the 2020 lockdown in Malaysia.
It’s both of our first time in Sarawak.

@@syasya117, they did a road trip together in the peninsula Malaysia already. ☺ Travelgramers travelled to Sarawak some years ago, so I think they're happy to explore other places.
The Sarawak Cultural Village has been the home to the Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF) for 25 years now. No other music festivals in Malaysia can last that long. Congratulations to festival goers and the organisers for making RWMF running this long. Glad that Sarawak Tourism Board invited you guys to experience this unique music festival. Where else in the world you can see a music festival with so much greenery? Only in Sarawak.

As a person who served in sabah seas for 8 years, this is my choice of island throughout sabah in terms of diving/coral/fish species, unique, and most beautiful/heavenly.

Few years back, there's a band from which country I can't remember, played a medley of Micheal Jackson's song using all those traditional instruments. That was epic! The whole floor went crazy and there's no soul did not enjoy that night. Those were the days 😜😜

Tattoo - if I remember correctly, Sarawak organised Malaysia's first tattoo convention. The man behind it was Ernesto Kalum. He's a lawyer by profession but decided to become a tattoo artist instead. He has his own tattoo studio in town. Tribal tattoo since then has made a come back (it was almost gone).
At Adau tribal band has performed in Taiwan, South Korea...

By the way... drinking is optional lah. 😆 When I went in 2018, I didn't have a drop. It is not compulsory, you know. The toast too can use any kind of drink of your choice. 😁

Brought back so much fond memories. I remembered the cultural village! And also stayed in Damai before. Do take a look at the sand, they look a little different from the Sabahan beaches. Used to love collect sands from all the beaches, and they all looked a little different. The music festival is always really epic. 😁
