Recently went home to Newfoundland and heard this on the radio maybe five times! I often forget what I miss by living in the US... all that wonderful Canadian music never gets aired down here at all.
Charlotte Huxter A late welcome back! We missed you! (And anyone thinking there’s sarcasm, no.) Lol Newfoundlanders are pretty close. I can’t imagine leaving, but, can imagine the experience of coming home for a visit. I’m sure you enjoyed it! And, yes, I can attest to this comment, heh.❤️
its was 1am I was down rabbit hole of classic music that I grew up in my teens, I had to listen to this on my full stereo system (speakers, woofer, etc.) No headset could produce the thumping bass you get in your chest that you don't get from a phone or ipad or beats .Recommended in full stereo blasted.
Remember hearing this song first while driving from Vancouver Airport on Grandville Street, after a long flight from Philadelphia, Pa. in 1983. Loved it the first time I heard it.. What a great welcome to Canada!
for sure buddy!... music just aint the same anymore.. when you hear this song ( the beat, melody, lyrics, Ect.) it just gets you pumped! nowadays nothing on the radio has any substance or longevity to withstand the time of most of the music i grew up with
that is just AWESOME!!!, i like hearing stories and memories attached to songs....to me, almost every memory i have can be equated to a song or the song that was playing at the specific moment
+harry Hand I experienced the 80's from a kids perspective haha. I wish i had the opportunity to live through the 80's as a teen or adult. if you get a time machine hook me up haha!
The '80s had nothing on the '70s: great music and lots of optimism and positivity. If only we had known then what a fake, dark and listless techno-world we were heading toward. Oh, well, glad I lived when I did. Feel sorry for today's youth, who haven't a clue what they missed.
@@jackrabbit5047 just a kid in the 70s but still remember peoples additudes were great.80s was awesome too. Would not have wanted to grow up in any other era. We killed it.
I'd forgotten about this song... what a great track! Carole Pope's part in this is truly amazing. I remember liking the Payolas... long before finding out what dick Bob Rock is. Ahhhh... innocence!
I’d love for there to be a video of this song with lyrics!! I have a hard time hearing some of the words...although, I guess I could just look them up.
And let us never forget Paul's unforgettable voice... makes us so happy to be Canadian and having grown up in his era 💕👌
Carol Pope puts this track over the top!
Carol Pope f*cking sucks lol. Paul carries this song.
Just heard this song on the radio today, first time in decades. Found it on TH-cam! What a fantastic tune.

Canadian radio stations are the best because of Canadian content rules! Love Coast 101.1

Love the urgency in her singing .
Holly Woods did a great job filling in for Carol at the Supertramp concert in 1983. Her and Paul really hit it out of the park
Carol Pope is a legend.
