- This submarine is actually a fun RC, just would of been nice to have it run off of Lipo batteries. Would of been nice if the remote controller was water proof, but over all its a great toy. Range is 15ft. and depth is 2.5 ft.

That's actually really cool! Back in the late 80's and early 90's I would see these big cool submarines at Toys 'R' Us and would want one so bad! But honestly, I would have been so happy with this! I mean, I'm 42 now and I'd still be happy with it! lol

The Yellow sub and Sharper Image brings back memories.
3 years ago a drone landed next to me made by Sharper Image. I was enjoying brews and there she landed. In the front yard an RC plane crashed. I took those Omens as a sign from the heavens to start flying ever since then.
As a kid you would send in Box Tops as proof of purchase on Kellogs Cornflake Cereals.
I got a grey submarine that was powered by baking soda bubbles.
Maybe I can use that Yellow Sub to find my old drone in that creek nearby?..

I still have my sub from Kellogg's. Lol so funny you said that my mom showed me a bunch of stuff that I got in the cereal boxes. Then they changed it to Tony the tiger being a submarine. Thanks so much brother have a great weekend

I would add long waterproof cable to go down deeper so it be like a rov sub

That's my brother, Yeah I been working a lot. I'm headed to pick my kids up for the summer in a few days. So I'm very excited, and then in September, Vantop technology is sponsoring me for the IFA Exhibition in Berlin Germany. So I get to fly drones there just like the CES in Vegas, back in January. I'm so excited, God is good my brother.
Ain't we all big kids at heart brother?!!! Especially in the RC hobby!! Really cool sub, had a submarine when I was s kid, no batteries or controller, you put some king of tablet in it. Made for the bathtub, it would dive and surface, prob 1960s LOL! Nice review!!! ✌😎

i enjoyed the video. first off it took me forever just to find where to purchase the sub (could not find on sharper image). its for my grandson. found it on amazon but ALL the revues were "horrible". best score was 3 out of 5 star. all others were 1 and 2 star. they all say its junk and only works once or twice. how long have you had and operated the one you have?
We used it about 7 times, and I gave it away. For 20 bucks I got it for it was worth it, but if the price has gone up then I would pass on it. Thanks so much for watching and be safe

Hi - have you played with any other RC Subs? The ones that seem the most popular and highest rated are rated 3.1 on Amazon. Is this worth $50 (on ebay) as I can't find one cheaper. The one on Amazon is Tipmant Mini RC Submarine Toy Remote Control Boat Ship Electronic Waterproof Diving in Water Swimming Pool Kids. I am looking for about 15 minutes play time and easy to recharge. THX if you can help. Lee

It’s just AA battery’s and I little cheap toy I bought my kids. It’s no hobby grade, lol 😂
How does this hold up in chlorinated pool water? I always have problems with water getting inside these and the chlorine wreaks havoc on the battery electronics. Let me know...like to try again

Great video buddy. I agree with you, a water proof radio would be the best. i'm thinking it's not as good to view it from above the water as it would be to being submerged. Maybe they take that feedback and improve it. cheers Donnie thanks for doing this video!

Maybe just put it inside a ziplock bag and vacuum the air out. We do it with phones at the beach.

Is it that hard to keep it in shot?!
It was a little trick for me, do to me being the one running the sub and filming also. The reason it was tricky is, the controller is not able to go under water. Its just splash proof. So I had my body plus the action cam in one hand under water and the controller out of the water with the other. Lol
