How to find the leaving variable in phase 2 table in a minimization problem?same as the maximaization?

Should r5 actually be -2 in the rhs? If you rearrange it should become 2 and not minus or am I missing something?

this confused me for some reason too, but the video is correct.
the -2 stays on the RHS and everything else moves to the LHS.

Sorry to say, but you are only describing a "cooking" recipe, how to find entering, leaving variables, row reduction etc. You briefly discuss how to go from phase 1 to 2 and than continue with your recipe. Nothing is learned here as you don't explain things.

You are teaching the difficult way of solving question. It can be done very easily, you r complicating the solution
    Sorry to say

I actually found his explanation very lucid and insightful. I find that working with examples better fosters a preliminary understanding of the subject, and that then can be supplemented by theory. My 2 cents

The point is that, he is not trying to solve the question. He is teaching the two phase simplex method with an easy example.
