Given that Neversoft built Spider-Man on the engine they developed for the Tony Hawk games, surely it's only a matter of time before someone uses THUG Pro as a basis for the ultimate Spidey rebirth game.
You have to understand these game didn’t help kick off a franchise but help kick off a culture. Skate culture. A wild time filled with radical music spanning from ska to metal, perpetuating rebellion and freedom in the streets. Skating and skate culture were exploding. Every kid I knew wanted to be a skater, I’d say it was what kids wanted to be prior to streamers becoming a thing. These games were a crucial part of skate culture and the late 90’s and early 2000’s. I miss these times. I miss being introduced to new music and simple times filled with care free gaming and laughs. I hope the next generation sees how great these games were. They kept my spirit soaring in tough times.
Hell yeah, I never got into actually riding skate boards or anything but the experience of playing these video games always made me feel a connection to that culture, they introduced me to so much music, and all new aesthetics, fashion styles, and trends I never would have been aware of or interacted with, if not for skateboarding culture, and the way it's expressed through Tony hawk video games.
Super Swim Team 7 I’m really grateful for this video. It’s existence means that newer generations will be able to see what gaming was at some point. That before there were battle royales and giant cash prize tournaments there was care free music and extreme sports creating an enjoyable environment for all. I was a big fan of Tony’s, I even had his autograph in a copy I had of his book. I streamed an emulated copy of THPS3 once and one of my viewers said it looked terrible and he would rather play a phone game. It broke my heart for sure. These games were great. Anyways, you’re a good content creator. Never stop.

The Mall is one of my favorite levels as well, and as of the latest update, they added The Mall! It's even the version from American Wasteland's Classic Mode!
THUGPRO is proof that one of the funniest things ever will be characters that normally don’t skateboard riding a skateboard. also this allows for a new, advanced version of Roxas skateboarding from KH2’s prologue

Thug PRO is great and all... But it’s just constant free skate or online play, any sort of goals or missions for even just a couple maps would be nice...
I really hope the new Tony Hawk 1+2 remaster will encourage people to remake levels from previous games, a lot of people are asking for remasters of 3 and 4 and the underground games, so perhaps there'll be people who make those levels in the Create-A-Park. It would definitely be awesome seeing those levels in "stunning 4K"

Started from thps2. And loved the game and soundtrack. Got better as years went on. Didn’t realise how good I was till I pulled off a massive score. And my friends dropped their controllers and left the house lol. Underground 2 was peak. I played online a lot on it, I didn’t understand how ppl can combo for like 15 mins. Crazy stuff. I look forward to playing thug pro when I get a pc and and my love for this game will be rekindled.
Oh crap, this looks like a ton of fun. I’m a big fan of games with a ton of wacky customization like this (Gmod, M.U.G.E.N, Rivals of Aether) I’m gonna enjoy this
It's always been a childhood dream for me to play as Spiderman in the THPS3 levels. And now I can. This mod is nothing short of amazing. Next to Brutal Doom this my favorite mod. This is an absolute masterpiece. Since the mod now offers custom sound tracks, I can now blast the THPS3 OST while playing as spiderman on THPS4 college. What I once thought was a pipe dream.

How i loved the Freak Out mechanic. Press X as fast as you can and jump on the board that it breaks, then a new one just flys in your hand. I fell like that the old TH games are more Arcade and thats what made such fun.
@Grym I mean the one that was made for Pro Skater HD and Pro Skater 5. Project 8 has a pretty solid engine actually. It was realistic feeling while maintaining that arcade feel. Kinda like how Pro Skater 1 and 2 felt. And the sound design in that game is excellent. But Pro Skater HD and 5 are just very awkward and stiff feeling.
@Grym That's what I did think when I wrote the comment, but since then i watched quite a few videos from Project 8, and the engine actually looks pretty decent. They should have kept that engine for Pro Skater HD and 5 and I bet those games would have been so much better.
@@CrashFan03 Very possible. There was just a certain feel with the old games that they couldn't seem to capture with the new ones. Everything looked too floaty and robotic like it was programmed in instead of being natural. The new remake looks really good though.

They're both great. THUGPro obviously is incredible but in terms of bringing the originals to a new audience and current gen consoles, Vicarious Visions did such a good job of saving the THPS legacy with THPS 1+2.

No. You can find the PC version very easily just look up "Tony hawk underground 2 rg mechanics" on Google, I I don't think I'm allowed to say the rest, but a program called BitTorrent will help

so this is maybe a little bit of context But does anybody remember a MOD for Tony Hawks Underground 2 that was called "Graph Core" or "Mudda**king Graf Core" or something similar like that? I may remember it lifted many limits in character customization, brought colours into the game and else. Hope some has the Name or better a download? But the proper Name would already be awesome :)
Speed up the animations and other motions and they would fix many of the many MANY problems of thps5. Also FUCK THE SLAM that happens when you press triangle/grind button. Also ps controller has always been superior for the tony hawk series, especially the ps1 controller becausr the game should be played with the D-pad, not with joystick.
I'm incredibly skeptical. It's reusing assets from THPSHD and THPS5, which is a really bad sign right off the bat. I don't think it'll be a good game. I wouldn't buy it

@@BRZguy I think that was less of switching engines and more of switching devs. Robomodo couldn't do anything decent with Tony Hawk even from Day 1

I think the people who aren’t happy with it are just saying it because they’ve been so pissed with HD and 5 which I totally understand but with vicarious visions assuring people that both the original code and geometry that Neversoft originally created is being used as the base template makes me reassured that they unlike robomodo actually have respect for why the series became iconic and legendary in the first place
They'd have to get it pretty spot on to Neversoft's original vision to get me on board
