Awesome! Great to mention the wear and tear of these products. It would be awesome to see an update review on your beta ar. Every where I look recently there are people complaining about it’s dwr finish or wetting out. Nice to hear your experience
Where I live is fairly dry and humidity is low. Mostly I contend with snow rather than rain . As a result wetting out low risk is low. I never experienced it with the Beta AR, only some wet spots usually on the shoulders where backpack straps rub after long periods of snowfall.
I have an Alpha SV that wets out... it can happen to any jacket in the right conditions. I would expect it to wet out quickly anywhere the fabric is touching/rubbing other fabric.
Highly recommended. I personally prefer the crew neck version and use it as a mega base layer. It’s incredibly warm but airy so moisture is managed well. Just know it’s MUCH warmer than the standard R1.

Yoooo!!!! That’s crazy I didn’t know you had a TH-cam channel, I’m a fan from Reddit
Great video. What’s the blue jacket you are wearing at 2:20, make/model?? Thanks
Great review. Gave me all the info I was looking for
I'm 6" and 210 lb, what size do you reccomend? Tks bro
That’s close to my stats and I consistently wear a large. However your composition is going to be the determining factor.
Do you use the Patagonia R1 air? If so which would you recommend of the two? Thanks

@@ALTAGEAR Thank you 🙌
What is your size? And do you fit which size?
I wear a size large in Arcteyx usually.
When I'm King of the World I'm going to proclaim that EVERY performance fleece includes thumbholes.
How windproof is the rom 2.0.
Infinium portion is totally windproof. Softshell portion is still pretty resistant though.
No inner pocket?
None
