12:00 warriors take +10% dmg in zerker stance, and -10% dmg in defensive stance. This applies to fall damage too. This guy might have actually survived that fall had he been in defensive stance instead of zerker.

The last guy should have petried ideally but it's understandable that once you log in and reorient yourself to the situation, that it takes a few secs. I guess he should've made the decision to smash petri regardless of the situation that he'd log back into.

The packs at 16:50 definitely weren’t pulled by Garen. That was 3 packs that all came at the same time, the Hunter fucked up the pull and didn’t bother telling anyone.
That last guy should have immediately alt f4ed then logged back in. Doing that right away when you see the signs of a DC increases the chances of recovering by ten fold. I know I've DCed twice while leveling in HC and fortunately haven't died to a DC.
5:00 that boss does a -75% healing curse for 10sec, if the mage was kiting skeletons or some other bs the tank doesnt get decurses and healing does basically nothing. He also has a shadow damage aura, which ticks every sec or two, and has a 30 yard range, but for some reason the whole group decided to stand inside it, as you can see by them all losing hp at the same time
@@LiliumCruoremthe problem with xp penalty is that when the game is too hard for you (even in a softcore) and dying less is not an option. For example, you have penalties in Sekiro. I spent almost 30min to kill the first tutorial mob in Sekiro (when the game teaches you the keybinds), and then more then 3 hours to kill the first elite mob on the map, and then several days to kill the first boss. I simply do not have a fast enough brain to react to all the movements, I react with a lag of 1 second and that's enough for you to be instakilled. I finished the game, but took almost a year. I still have PTSD after this game and the moment you realize that every single death of your almost inifinite number of deaths are penalized. At the same time, I play in platinum league in Overwatch and found my way to work around the slow reaction, but it's because death penalty in OW is very small and eventually (after a year or so) I found the way and I play this game for 6 years

That 7:45 situation happens to me as well with friend who was new to game. We came as 2 warriors to spot where already was that item that summons ghosts he said : hay, I got something in backpack - clicked it and it summons another " portal " and we have 1 minute chase where we used 2 dummies , 2 grenade, pots , sticky slimes and engeneering trinket for 3 sec stunn. All lived but aroud 5-8% each. Best experience 😅
That guy at the end should have communicated he was logging back in, or about to, and awaited confirmation from the guild that it was safe to come back. Still super shit to die like that. Gotta be super safe on hc in all situations.

I feel kinda blessed to have only played retail where the tanks get unconditional aggro on everything in a 3 miles radius just for being tank spec. Seems like a lot of classic raid deaths are tied to unexpected aggro reset mechanics (or just doing too much damage on occasion).

Oh, yes the jump voice is real ( I heard it too)... it has to do with being scared of heights, wanted to get down asap and the fastest down is jumping, I read somewhere. But I believe it's only people (severe) acrophobia that causes them to panic and taking the fastest way back to the ground. I got over my fear by living in a 33rd floor apartment for over a decade.

I've used that Uldaman strat before... the way it works is you start it, and all the way back to the other dwarf room, and kill the boss before any of the ads have time to run to you. It only works if everyone runs the correct way though xDD

I think this is one of those things you look up. If you're going into an endgame raid as HC with NO foreknowledge of bosses and enemies AT ALL, you're going to die.

What I don't understand is how these hardcore players have 100+ hours to go to the raid or dungeon and don't have time to watch a 15-20 minute video that explains what to do and what not to do. Like that first guy who died due to debuff, I mean, these are not new raids, nor are they too complicated. If he had spent even 10 minutes watching raid guide, he could have saved his 100+ hours of progress. It feels like some of these HC players want to feel badass without being one.

Hearthing on Vael to preserve your worldbuffs was the strat long before hardcore, so no real difference there since hardcore launched.

I think this is one of those things you look up. If you're going into an endgame raid as HC with NO foreknowledge of bosses and enemies AT ALL, you're going to die.

In case your curious the phenomenon that asmon was describing about how people are afraid if heights is to my understanding referred to as "the call of the void" which i think may be a form of suicidal ideation but i'm no expert on the topic
What I don't understand is how these hardcore players have 100+ hours to go to the raid or dungeon and don't have time to watch a 15-20 minute video that explains what to do and what not to do. Like that first guy who died due to debuff, I mean, these are not new raids, nor are they too complicated. If he had spent even 10 minutes watching raid guide, he could have saved his 100+ hours of progress. It feels like some of these HC players want to feel badass without being one.
