Just to help with the names:
Haruna - drums (2016-present)
Midori - guitars, backing vocals (2016-present) (blonde ponytail)
Miyako - guitars, keyboards, backing vocals, main composer (2016-present) (dark hair)
Asami - lead vocals, writes a lot of the lyrics (2016-present)
Miho - bass, backing vocals, founder and bandleader (2016-2021) wrote some of their thrashier songs, eg. Thunder Vengeance

A couple of the most interesting subtle things I’ve noticed about the ladies is that they always do what serves the song and they leave their egos at the front door. They mesh so well together.
Miyako described “Set The World On Fire” as Thrash Metal , the album’s producer had them change the middle’s arrangement just before recording. 🤘🎸🔥🐺
Absolutely agree, Testament shd be in Big 4. Referencing the Big 4, Testament, Priest, Maiden is a compliment as that is who they are influenced by. The talent these ladies have is talented beyond words. Keep it going and you will see. They do thrash, power, progressive and ballads. You'll see it all if you keep going! 🐺🦊
This is what happens when the ladies uncork the napalm. They studied all the bands you mention and more, and distilled it all into the essence of metal. And they've made it beautiful. Subscribing.

This song is literally Fire. High Tempreture,high quality, eternal flame.....Fire. Thank God for LoveBites. Big 4 should be the Big 6 and include Testament and Exodus.
I'm also old school and I wasn't looking for anything but was attracted by the "WTF wasn't expecting that!" headers by some reactors and LOVEBITES exploded in my face and I've been fixated ever since. Some possible interesting snippets for you - the guitarist on the right was 4.5 months pregnant at the time of this concert; and the singer trained in ballet for some 15 years.

It doesn’t matter how many times you watch this it’s difficult to take in the impeccable synchronicity of the ladies. It’s just as difficult to process that it’s live. Your reference to familiarity resonates. For me it’s just the era, 80’s metal. Until I discovered Lovebites I wasn’t a big fan (or at least I hadn’t listened to much) speed or thrash metal. My bag was more Dio, Maiden, Purple, Rainbow (for Ritchie). Now I absolutely love the fact that Haruna drives the tempo like an engine driver, hence her band mates nickname “little big engine”. Nice reaction. Only 48 to go.
"This is metal." TRUE. LOVEBITES is as metal as you can get. Heavy metal, power metal, thrash metal, a bit of progressive metal, heavy rock, all the greatness of metal in one band!! That's crazy. Japan saves the metal music, right?

First time I heard them two years ago, this song was youtube suggested, and I fist thought of Testament as well. Then I picked up my jaw off the ground and wiped up the drool as well.😍

The LOVEBITES song "Thunder Vengeance" is thrashy. That song has been compared to Slayer numerous times if you are a fan of Slayer (like me).

"Set the world on fire" is my favorite Lovebites' song. These metal goddesses never let me down.
All their songs are very different, but not all of them are so thrashy. You should check out more different songs. You will like them. Try "Swan Song with Shopin Intro" - you will be impressed. Also, you have to watch "Break the Wall".

Beyond talented and amazing IMHO. Almost prodigy level across the board. When Lovebites plays thrash, think Slayer or Testament or Metallica with Maiden and Priest mixed in amongst others.

For me as someone whose favourite metal subgenre in the eighties has been Thrash Metal, this song as well as "The Hammer of Wrath" and "Break the Wall" are my favourite songs by Lovebites, but even though they are not predominantly a Thrash Metal band, I haven't heard a single song by them I don't like. Since you are one of very few reactors who explicitly mentioned Testament in the context of this song, I'm already curious what you will say when you eventually listen to Lovebites' "Break the Wall". Since you also mentioned you'd like to discover music in the vein you are already familiar with, I'd like to know if there's any band in the following list you haven't heard yet (since I don't want to recommend stuff you already know): Anacrusis, Coroner, Détente, Fear of God, Hexenhaus, Mekong Delta, Sacrilege (UK), Voivod, Watchtower, Znowhite. These are not new bands and most of them don't exist anymore, but since they weren't very well known way back then, even people who already listened to Thrash Metal in the eighties/early nineties, might not be familiar with them.
If you want another vocal holdout, do Don't Bite the Dust haha. Or Hammer of Wrath!
You want a group that is a sum of all those bands you mentioned? Try Nemophila, another all-female metal band from Japan. Start with the live version of "Oiran", then "Adabana", and "Dissension".
For another good new thrash metal band check out High Command. The song Merciless Steel is a good song to start with. Fans of Kreator's old stuff will probably really like this band.

I have another amazing Japanese all female metal band for you, Nemophila. The band is made of some of the best female players in Japan. They either came from other bands or are high demand session musicians who came together to form Nemophila. They have done covers of Detroit Rock City, Whole Lotta Rosie, 20th Century Boy and Aces High but you really need to check out one of their originals, Dissention or Revive.
For something great i have just one thing for you to search: Sokoninaru . Nothing more needs to be said.

There are other bands that are so much better than the band you just mentioned, but Lovebites is the ultimate find for true metal heads, not any of the pop rock garbage everyone is nuts over, Check out Mardelas they are amazing, old Bridear (2013-2018), "Asterism" kids on a mission of blowing peoples minds, most of Aldious. Other than that I don't care for anything else from Japan, now if you go to Canada there was a band called Motion Device (2014-2020) was also a phenomenal band of siblings now called QA3 (Quarter After Three) since the guitarist left. Too many morons have lost their sense of reality and prefer what mainstream media is shoving down their throats.

You'd like Aldious 'We Are' th-cam.com/video/IRcwS-XvOOk/w-d-xo.html Aldious does a lot of thrash metal. I think Lovebites hits higher highs than Aldious but Aldious has a much deeper catalogue of songs. They have so many great songs.
when re:no was a singer, aldious was in its heyday. since aldious doesn't have a singer now, maki is the support singer.
