In an interview Richie said he was proud of the album they made which was Native Tongue, Richie brought in 5 songs that he had which became Poison songs, but that's the way it goes, Stand is his song. He married that woman and they had a daughter named August, I saw her sing with her dad live twice
This also hurt Kotzen, being associated with Poison. He was hired by Ozzy Osbourne to replace Zack Wylde, he rehearsed for the tour with Ozzy, Geezer Butler on bass, and Deen Castronova on drums, for a few weeks, then they got the weekend off to go home and say goodbye and get their shit together for the tour, Richie did, flew back to New York to meet up with the band, and they were already gone, Sharon Osbourne told him they were replacing him, there was no way her Ozzy was going to have a member of fucking Poison (her words) tour or record with him, and he was basically stranded in New York, and out of a job. Ozzy ended up bringing in the guy Richie beat out for the gig, Joe Holmes as a last second relacement.

Kotzen basically wrote the entire album. Had more talent and looks than the rest of the band combined. The real reason they booted him. The man is a legit musical genius
