  • There are a LOT of budgeting apps out there. I have tried 15 free budgeting apps and in this video I share the best 5 apps.
    Here are the budgeting apps I don't mention in the video:
    Personal Capital - An all-in-1 finance app. It tracks your, net worth , cash flow, and investments. It has great visuals, but it is hard to set-up a budget and you will get lots of emails from them.
    Fudget - Only available on your phone. Might work well for weekly budgets
    Pocket Smith - complicated’
    Wally - Works worldwide. You can link your bank accounts. The free version gives you a very general budget. In order to customize, you have to upgrade.
    Peak - Ideal for savings goals (called peaks). You can round up purchases and have the difference sent to savings goals. Not as great for budgeting as savings.
    Douugh - It used to be free, but isn’t anymore.
    Monefy - Very simple and similar to everydollar. Everything is manual, BUT you can setup your budget by day, week, month, year, etc..

    Great video! The apps are a good idea and I'm glad you've put additional information in the description area. I may need to look into one of these a bit more.

      There are sooo many apps, it can be a bit overwhelming. But, I tried to give an overview of each.!!

    Amazing tips and suggestions. I haven't tried any of these so I'm excited to look into them more!

      Most of them only work in the US, but Rakuten should work in Great Britain as well.

    Very useful apps...needing to save a lot now because of Australian visa fees!!

    • @BrittanyFlammer
      @BrittanyFlammer  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm sorry you're having to save for visa fees...but I hope one of the apps will help you.
      If you're looking for an app that's meant just for savings try out peak. It's completely free and helps you save for goals.

    I tend to be a paper and pencil budgeter but I do use every dollar to help with it as well.

      Ignore my question on your other comment!! I totally understand pen and pencil budgeting! I’m trying to move more digital! And I’m glad you like EveryDollar.

    Hi Brittany, maybe I missed it, but witch was your favourite out of these five apps? Cheers, nice video

      Good question...this is a rather old video and there aren't a lot of free options with Mint shutting down. Here's a more recent video of my 5 favorites: th-cam.com/video/-3iL8siIf-8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=h_6j44pOf3un_3ML as well as another one not mentioned: th-cam.com/video/Rsezyoy6bsQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=t0u8jodemPA9S2xk
      I personally use a spreadsheet. But, I work with a lot of clients that prefer budgeting apps. The apps mentioned in these 2 videos are usually what I recommend depending on their circumstances.

    I love Dave Ramsey and use his app both on the computer and on my phone.

    I haven’t tried any of these. I’m always worried about security when getting apps. I think it could be helpful to have things all in one.

    • @BrittanyFlammer
      @BrittanyFlammer  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes- I definitely understand. I’m not afraid to use them to link to just 1 account- they have plaid security that banks use. But there’s something unsettling about it at the same time- so I don’t use them to link to all of our financial info.

    How are these free if there’s in app purchases you need to get features?

    • @BrittanyFlammer
      @BrittanyFlammer  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve never paid money for any of them. Most of them have a free version then additional features you can pay for.
      My favorite completely free ones are everydollar (but you have to manually enter transactions) or mint. I also like personal capital, but it’s not great for budgeting- more like tracking your net worth and keeping an eye on finances.
