A few things I would do to make this job less messy and faster - take an syringe and remove the brake oil in the reservoir and add fresh fluid then start the bleeding procedure (make sure not to press the levers while doing so or you'll double your work - i used a towel which I cut a slit in and covers the reservoir tightly (brake oil changes the color of your paint and ruins it ) - and can cut a "X"slit in the bottles neck and put the pipe in so the pipe in with the bottle cap so no spills and tape it later when disposing it off. And lastly wash the bike immediately after just in case you happend to miss anything And most importantly changing the screws to stainless steel screws as my bike (2021) had both screws rusted near the threads which was a proper pain to get out
Just flushed changed the fluid with Dot4 on my '21 Himalayan. Very easy job - only two issues, 1. The level of the light coloured oil is virtually impossible to see through the front brake reservoir sight glass. Could not find any Dot4 that had a colour other than "light wheat". 2. Why are the front and rear brake nipples different sizes ? Really enjoy your videos- extremely informative and easy to follow. Thanks from Oz 👍
A Pro Tip From My Side would be That Take a Old Rag That Still Absorbs water well... Take That Rag Dampen it and Keep it On a throttle and Use plenty of Paper towels to Cover all Side Of The Brake Reservoir Because Sometimes While to Depress the Brake it Tends to Came Back Up and Dot 4 is corrosive liquid... And would Damage the Paint... And In the Situation the Brake Liquid Spils the Paper towles would Absorb it and If Some Seeps past it use the Wet Rag to Clean it off the Body and Paint... Stay Safe Guys...
Great video. Do you guys have ABS models there? When I swapped out the caliper for a larger one it took a very long time to bleed through the ABS system but eventually we (my wife and I) got it done.
Yes we do have the abs models . Mine is the last non abs one . Feb 2018 . I just saw your short on the short dog bones . Wish I could get one here . How much was the difference in ground clearance in mm ? The foot pegs are way too low for comfort for rock riding .

Yes , that’s a serious problem. The sight window doesn’t show anything. The oil level is a tricky thing
