Awww! I'm sorry to hear you lost your own little friend. :( What happened to your kitty?!?! And yes, I'm very lucky to have her. I'm almost completely housebound (I leave my house a few times a year) and I generally see other people only a couple of times a year (Christmas and sometimes once or twice in between) so I'm pretty much by myself, but she's such a good little friend, I don't really notice. It's wonderful to have a tiny little friend like her! I often wondered if she really loved me or if she just liked me for food and such. So, I once pretended to leave the house and drive to town. I got the ex GF to start the car and drive out of the driveway. Then, I stood outside of the door and listened. The poor little bugger laid on the floor by the front door, peering through the tiny gap at the bottom trying desperately to see what was happening and crying in distress. Just every single breath. Inhale, cry, inhale, cry... That sad sort of cry that's like a human baby. She literally laid there and cried herself to sleep. Poor little bugger! So, the very few times I've had to leave the house, I have someone come and visit her often. My brother checked her for me once. He HATES cats. The only reason he agreed was because he likes me. I called him a few days later to see how she was doing. I asked "So, how's Nawnee doing!?!". He said "Not good. Not very good". For him to say that, she must have been losing her mind. Needless to day, we're as close as close can be. I think she thinks she's actually my GF or wife. In fact, my ex GF, when she was still here, Nawnee (my kitty) was SO jealous of her that at night, she'd get in between me and my GF and physically push us apart. And I was 250 pounds at the time and my GF was heavy too. The person that got the "feet" got four tiny bruises. It's astounding how strong she is. Then, after pushing us apart, Nawnee would jump over onto my right side again, curl up in her spot, I'd put my hand on her little hip (We slept with her curled up and my palm resting on her little kitty hip) and we'd go back to sawing proverbial logs. :) She's been an amazing little friend! I'm actually scritching her while I type this. She keeps sticking her head over the keyboard trying to get me to stop paying attention to the laptop.
@@GamingHelp he had diabetes and his health degraded slowly for a good five years, he lived 16 years... the cutest cat too! he'd never be more than few meters from my mom when he could keep up, but not as attached as yours is! he loved me as well and happily enjoy covid with us staying at home and all the plants we got around that time! he was my childhood cat, and such a relaxed and calm cat, you couldn't ever get him to do anything, not play, exercise or follow you around. he loved the pats pats and the scritches. that story about her crying herself to sleep was the cutest thing ahahah, the co-dependency is strong ! that's a nice thing you have her, not too much work like a dog, and keeps better company than a rabbit!
Yes, I really DO game with my cat curled up between my legs. This video shows how I get around the CFS/ME health issues to manage to play for a while: th-cam.com/video/tbOaK5W3g4w/w-d-xo.html
Also, funny story: When my ex told me I should get a cat, I said "I need a cat like another hole in my head". When she brought Nawnee home (This kitty), I pointed at her, laughed and said "That's the ugliest cat I've ever seen". 24 hours later, she was my best friend and she's been in physical contact with me for at least 12 to 18 hours a day for 20 years now. Until she got old enough that she gets confused sometimes and wakes me up at night, she even slept with me. I'd go to bed, she'd jump up, curl up beside me, I'd put my right hand on her little kitty hip and when I'd wake up 16 to 18 hours later (CFS is a bugger of an illness), she was still in the same place with my hand on her. She would get up once in a while to get a snack, use the litter box and get a drink, but then just come back in, jump up, curl up and even while asleep, I'd just put my hand back on her hip. If you have serious health issues and need a tiny friend that's easy to look after, you can't do better than a cat. Just remember, they're not a dog. You get what you give. Be kind and respect boundaries and don't be a bully (Remember, you're as big as an elephant to them) and treat them with love and many cats will turn into your bestest friend in the entire world.
Thats the cutest cat :o
