      Melissa, thank you for watching! The ring is just copper wire wrapped around and around and around a mandrel! And then oxidized. So much fun! Maybe we will do a segment in the future!

    Been farting all day to do two names and about to give up. After watching your demo tonight I am inspired and you really answered my questions and doubts and am ready to try again. You always “save my day”. Thank you so much as always!

    You need to use a darker background to. See what you are doing

    I've seen a video that recommended galvanized steel wire from the hardware store.

    I love this! I just don’t think I could do it. How do you do an “i”?

    • @JewelSchool
      @JewelSchool  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Robin! This video was a lot of fun. Stay tuned as we plan to address more letters in a future episode, but in short just bring your wire up the same way you would start to make the "u" like in the video. When you bring your wire back down to make the curve of the "u," you can stop there as you have an 'i!" Just shape your two vertical, parallel wires to resemble more of an "i" shape. Good luck!

    Thanks Susan for all the great tips. Also a little constructive criticism, it’s hard to see what you’re doing with such a light background.

      I agree, a darker background would show so much more. But you all do beautiful work and I will subscribe to you channel!

    20 or 18 Guage is perfect neat for name necklace making please reply?

    • @JewelSchool
      @JewelSchool  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! Susan is using a 20ga bare copper wire. The reason being she needs to hammer it and a bare copper wire works best for this since it isn't plated. You could try using 18ga wire, but it will be harder to bend into the letters - just keep that in mind. Hope this helps!
