    Hi, thank you for this tutorial. Can I ask, what's the difference in the gauges of Aluminium craft and Perm coloured copper wire (gold) wires? And what type you use for this project. Sorry, I'm living in Europe.

    I tried making these and they are so pretty, however, you can see hammer marks in the little paddle ends. I tried not beating so hard, changing surfaces, etc. Will anything help? Can I use any 18g wire or only certain types? Please someone help 💗

    • @JewelSchool
      @JewelSchool  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hammering is definitely a challenge! It's hard to figure out what the right strength is when striking the metal. Some wires, especially the plated ones, might show hammering more than wires like silver or gold. If you're not careful, hard hammering can even remove the plating. This probably won't help you, but honestly, just keep practicing. When you get those marks, sometimes that means your striking the metal with the outer edge of the hammer. Just try to get it directly under the flat or domed part. You can also try lightly file the spots that need to be leveled out.

Unfortunately, she did not make these earrings, but here at Jewel School, we love a challenge! Maybe this is a design we can attempt in a future video. Thanks for the suggestion!
