I work in industrial maintenance and those fittings are called quick connect fittings and they are made by a company called Festo. If you are going that route, I HIGHLY suggest you purchase a disconnect tool that Festo makes. The tool makes it ALOT easier to disconnect a line in a hard to reach spot.

The idea to use a solid core wire and heat gun to shape the polyflo is genius. I had never heard/seen that before. Any tips or guidance on the use of the heat gun? is that any special sort of heat gun, or is the same as one would use to strip paint?

    G,day fellas from Sydney Australia.
Very precise demonstration of installation of a pitot static pressure systems into gauges (altimeter and ASI)
    My points of interest.
I assume you want to keep the Poly-flow tubing as short as possible.
Selection because of its thermosetting quality (bending without restrictions to diameter).
Any warranty when exposure to UV and under the cowling?

If I could offer a suggestion.
That engine is voltage critical. I see an important criteria being omitted in the alternator setup and power distribution and no load study or data to support the installation one way or the other. Will a hot alternator support the engine load at idle? Having a voltage warning from a buss is an aggregate detection and may or may not be what the battery voltage is on long cables.
I would suggest to anyone flying this powerplant that you need a minimal voltage warning from the positive terminal of the battery inflight. I see cheap warning circuits with an obnoxious horn on it online for $4 or less. A no brainer...

You both provide wonderful explanations of the process, well done.

I have a question. Look as I may, I've been through every print and I can't find it. I would like know what the thickness is of the 109 hat sections and the skin.

The skins vary, but most are .032. The hat sections are .020
