    What is appealing about Paralives is the consistent updates from the development team and really focus on what their goals are. Keep it up! We are so rooting for you!

      But a majour downside is its overly cartoonish mobile game style (which extends to making character customisability unflexible due to lack of realism)

      Not for everyone, personally I've always hated super realistic looks for the sims

      @@KathAroet How is lack of realism unflexible for character customisability? outside of textures, there's no actual limitation, also, it's not caroonish, it's called "cel shading", and it's closer to smth like Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

      @@KathAroet I think that they said that there would be the ability to create mods for the game so maybe there will be a mod to change the look of the paras.

    This game has been not only consistent with the updates and transparency but also level-headed at the same time, and I appreciate it. They don't overpromise and always communicate when they feel like the fans may have misunderstood something or clear up rumors that may start popping up when people turn nice to haves into things they think we will have in game.

    the only thing I really want from this game is realistic disability gameplay, it's the one thing no life sims either out or in progress so far haven't confirmed

      Oooh! It would be so cool if certain incidents (like maybe situations that happen on a probability table with a pretty low probability so it’s not predictable) could result in a character becoming disabled-maybe accidents could have an increased chance of causing injury if a character attempts a dangerous thing way out of their skill range! And it’d be super cool if characters could be born with disabilities too! This would just make gameplay so much more dynamic and give such an awesome variety. I love this idea! Gosh this game has me so hyped 😁

    I do see some of features better to be add in future updates, expansions and DLCs, specially how there are still figuring out stuff.
    Which makes me wonder, would they add fantasy features, or the main goal is to be realistic?

    Light gameplay with no illness or violence sounds like a more wholesome version of The Sims. Good, maybe they'll stick to that route and this will allow Sims to get back to their twisted roots.

      It'll be interesting to see what people might say after how much mundane stuff they've requested for sims 4 over it's life, gotten it and still whined there's nothing to do because they got what they asked for. 😅 i wouldn't mind seeing those players jump ship to another game they might like more so that us who enjoy the sims don't have to put up with the whining that's gone on since sims 2 and let us enjoy it without telling us we're wrong for doing so.

      @@meikahidenoripeople complain about sims because sims literally gives nothing. Stuff that should be in the base game? Comes out months/years later as a pack with only one or two good functional features. The packs are literally half ass and broken. But i do feel like people who complain? Are still the main ones buying these broken packs.

    The devs may not be adding guns and murder features to Paralives but more than likely there'll be modders or a modder that'll do that heck someone did it to the Sims 4 and on Bethesda's games there are children and they were programmed invincible but some modder or modders made mods for Bethesda's games that removes that invincibility oh and btw i myself have never used these mods i just learnt about them via videos

      You're thinking of Sacrificial mods. He does some very creative mods that are remarkably stable and update resistant. I really love his zombie mod for Sims 4. It really gives you a reason to build prepper bunkers and vaults.

    "We also have to balance the number of traits available to choose from so it's not overwhelming"
    Huuuuuuuge red flag. Even Sims is ready to "overwhelm" players with letting them to choose between 50+ traits. Paralives has like a "choose three times a 1 of 8" in traits right now. And has the audacity to call that possibly overwhelming lul
    Biggest challenge in the game "evolve personality, job, raising children"
    Evolve personality: how is it a challenge to let time run and do a 1 of 2 choice?
    Job: let time run and do a 1 of 3 choice?
    Raising kids? Let's see how they can balance it so that raising kids is difficult but not tedious, and so that 1 kid is difficult but 7 kids still is manageable. ... but i really doubt that "challenging" is the right word for what they plan for anything. Paralives has a serious angst of overwhelm players by giving players more than 2 or 3 options to choose from.

    • @cryingwatercolours
      @cryingwatercolours 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      well… what game are you referring to here? cuz iirc, the only game with that many traits was sims 3. the earlier (maybe just the first?) games had personality points and the sims 4 doesn’t havent that many traits in base game, and i don’t count ones like vegetarian, such a waste of a spot. considering paralives already has lifestyle options separate from the traits, and the traits are all in their own categories (so far) that actually align well, PLUS the evolutions, i think there will be a good variety

    • @Thyana-ig5no
      @Thyana-ig5no 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@cryingwatercolours i referenced Sims 4, actually, cuz Sims 4 has around 50 traits, and Sims 3 has around 100 (i couldnt find exact numbers sorry). Including dlcs, since the question was "can such an amount of traits overwhelm Paralives players".
      Did you ever see a Sims 4 or Sims 3 player complain about that there are too many traits to choose from? No? Then why would it be okay by Paralives to say (paraphrased) "we only give you 3x the choice between 8 traits each, to not overwhelm you"?

    • @Thyana-ig5no
      @Thyana-ig5no 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      tl;dr: either Paralives is targetted at people who find Sims 4 too complex and difficult... (which would fit to their identity as cozy game)
      or it's empty marketing speak to frame having extremely few personality traits as something positive
