i think the ps3 has a slight edge over 360 in terms of graphics, slightly better lighting, less aliasing and quicker texture loads, but framerate isnt so good.
@@paulbell3682 it may have "worse aliasing" but it has less jagged edges on PS3. In terms of lighting different times of day seem to be more colorful on PS3, idk why it's like that but yeah. I played on 360 when I had GTA 4 so I'm not being biased but the PS3 looks kind of nicer
@@thedrbat9572 I agree. The 360 has aa and the ps3 doesn't but it still looks rough and dithered compared to the ps3, which uses the blur filter to smooth it out. The ps3 does still have some jaggies which stand out though. The ps3 uses a better lighting system which makes it look more realistic (fp16 vs fp10 on the 360). The 360 also has bigger framerate drops because it isn't 30fps capped like the ps3, so it can go from like 40 to 30 or under quickly. I have both and overall prefer the ps3 even though the 360 is technically superior in specs. The 360 looks too gamey and cartoony whereas the ps3 looks more like a film, which suits my taste more.
@@thedrbat9572 Yeah apparently it's because the ps3 was harder to code for, though they did a great job with it nonetheless and in some ways looks just as good as the 360, if not better. It also has the little added bonus of sixaxis and more importantly, free online play.
*huh, whenever I play GTA IV on my PC, its FPS is always 60 when driving, but when walking, it goes to 53 FPS. Sometimes it goes up to 61 or 63 FPS. Note, I am not using any mods or any ways to get always 60 FPS.*
I remember the time when I tried to play on PC, passed a couple of missions, and stopped playing because of issues: road's textures glitching that doesn't show on the screen, low frame rate, and game crashing, even with bluescreen errors, lol. Regardless, I enjoyed it because the game had a charm, an atmosphere that I've never experienced before in gta series. The game is a masterpiece, and it never gets old.
2020 now. Bought it a few days ago for ps3 because it runs so bad on my pc. Fucking Love that game. Best physics in gta and I Love the shoot feeling with the camera near the head. Also Love the gun sounds. More satisfying without Auto aiming ❤️
5:41 Man I truly can’t say which on is blurry between these two shots. Look at the building textures ahead and objects around, why I can’t help but notice how it’s better in the left image?
Just a great comparison of the video. Would have been good to mention that that was the pre-rerated Australian version (MA15+) besides that there's nothing to complain. Great as always and keep it up. :D
The problem with the frame rate was that it was completely unlocked on Xbox 360. This leads to horrific frame pacing since the frame rate can not line up evenly with your monitor's refresh rate. the 360 didn't suffer as much because of the fact it rarely went past the low 30s so it wasn't that bad. but playing on the Xbox One actually renders it almost unplayable to some people me included because the frame rate jumps all over the place and it gets extremely janky. Fortunately playing on the Xbox One X puts you in the upper 40s to 60 frames per second most of the time meaning if you have a freesync TV or monitor, it'll play perfectly playable Xbox One X.

he probable doesnt knnow what hes talking bout, just clickbaiting
Great video as always
I play the story mode for about a week!
i think the ps3 has a slight edge over 360 in terms of graphics, slightly better lighting, less aliasing and quicker texture loads, but framerate isnt so good.
The aliasing is actually worse on PS3 (360 version uses 2×MSAA compared to the PS3 version's QAA) & the lighting is about the same on both.
@@F_Arrow95 yea I wish the PS3 and 360 were the same, it annoys me a little bit that rockstar changed the graphics on the two consoles.
@@thedrbat9572 Yeah apparently it's because the ps3 was harder to code for, though they did a great job with it nonetheless and in some ways looks just as good as the 360, if not better. It also has the little added bonus of sixaxis and more importantly, free online play.
The PS3 version is my favourite, period
I remember the day I got this game, my dad took me to a GameStop and he bought this for me, those were good times.
*huh, whenever I play GTA IV on my PC, its FPS is always 60 when driving, but when walking, it goes to 53 FPS. Sometimes it goes up to 61 or 63 FPS. Note, I am not using any mods or any ways to get always 60 FPS.*
VSYNC
I remember the time when I tried to play on PC, passed a couple of missions, and stopped playing because of issues: road's textures glitching that doesn't show on the screen, low frame rate, and game crashing, even with bluescreen errors, lol. Regardless, I enjoyed it because the game had a charm, an atmosphere that I've never experienced before in gta series. The game is a masterpiece, and it never gets old.
You should do LA Noire next.
Can't. I don't have a switch
100th comment, I'm your biggest fan!!
Thank you. Love having you as a fan
Nice comparison i wish you increased the contrast on pc version it just look a bit off
Please compare far cry 3 next
Gta4 was my favorite game for the ps3 i still play it i like that line lets go blowing
Who still play gta iv in 2019?
2020 now. Bought it a few days ago for ps3 because it runs so bad on my pc. Fucking Love that game. Best physics in gta and I Love the shoot feeling with the camera near the head. Also Love the gun sounds. More satisfying without Auto aiming ❤️
GTA 4 is my personal favorite in the series
I hadnt played the GTA series, but picked up a Xbox 360 version for $3.
Nice video man hope you do graphics comparison on gta 6 when it releases in 5 years
The LCC on PS3 had a massive glitch in TBoGT where the floor deletes itself.
Does the xbox one works with freesync? Also with gsync monitors?
It works with freesync but not g-sync
@@gt362gamer Freesync won't completely save you from this game, even on the X it will drop to framerates Freesync doesnt support
Maybe do a side by side need for speed undercover next?
Best Version of Every GTA game in my Opinion:
GTA 1: PC
GTA London: PC
GTA 2: Dreamcast
GTA 3: PC
GTA VC: PC
GTA SA: PS2
GTA LS: PSP
GTA VCS: PS2
GTA 4: XBOX 360
GTA China Town Wars: NDS
GTA 5: XBOX 360
I think gta5 is thr best version obviously ps5 and xbox series x
GTA 5 best version for the time was PS3. Obviously I'm not talking about the PS5/PC version or anything that released after 2013.
Ok, what makes the PS2 version of San Andreas better than the PC version?
And what makes the 360 version of GTA 5 better than like the PS4, PC or PS5 versions?
@@BrawlinEntertaintment2K i don't know about the gta 5, but gta vice city and san andreas on the ps2 are wayy better than the pc version, and i say it as a person who only played them on pc, just search the comparison on youtube, the ps2 version has such beautiful colors/vibe in vice city and san andreas
Its a shame to play at 20fps... its lower than amovie
this game out in 2008 dude, the physics were too great for the PS3 and X360
at 7:23 the X360 dropped at 12fps, the PS3 wouldnt be a problem but the Cell was too complex for R*
We love your videos, so we really need a side by side for Call of duty black ops.
Ps3 version is just unplayable.
Too blurry and yellowish.
Gta v however runs quite good on ps3
The Shark Cards from 2015-18 time-line was a nice touch👌.
The 360 version looks blurry, so if you're saying the PS3 version is blurry then fuck! I'm definitely not buying it again. I'll stay with the 360. It just looks so washed out.
1:22 the moment you saw SOAP in no. 12 press "F"
Glad price hanged makarov
The PC graphics are blurrier than the 360? What? No.
I recently got Complete Edition for my PS3, now I'm trying to get 100%
It's a pain in the ass.
PRetty obvious most people are waiting for gta 5
I wish there were more differences between console and PC versions of GTA IV, TLAD and TBOGT. I mean PC versions would contain different mission dialogues (the storylines would still be the same on all versions), more possibilities and less glitches. I wish these differences were more noticeable.
Comparing a modded game with the original version and saying that is better, is like saying that a custom car is better than the stock one
You should have used the real pc version of it, not the masked one
*I'm the favorite protagonist from GTA Series! I'M A SUCESS, I-CAN'T-BE-TOUCHED*
I always thought what Playstation delivers contrast to the other platforms is that to be able to play 60 fps stable gameplay? And all this years I actually played below 30? I can't believe it
The title says San Andreas. It should be GTA IV
A goof
@@RookerVision just a friendly reminder :)
I’ve gotten GTA IV running smoothly on my PC, which is not what I would describe as a high end gaming machine, and the install is pretty vanilla other than some mods to remove Games for Windows live or whatever that pos is called.
What did u do?
**LET'S GO BOWLING!**
