I feel like the main issue was forced pvp modes in every game. Co-op was a blast even in the worst Resident Evil games, but BioShock 2 didn't need development time wasted on the multiplayer mode.

Lords of the Fallen looks great. I am happy to see that it has seamless co-op through the game which definitely separates it from other Souls type games.

Played about 50 hours of starship troopers extermination. Absolutely love the gameplay loop with this one. That fact that it is early access and more content is coming makes me really excited for where this will go

Helldivers 2 dropping local co-op and Diablo 4 not having local co-op on PC was a huge blunder. I literally did not buy those games because I can't play them with my kids. I'm not the only person who plays games primarily in local co-op.

Im happy more games are using 3rd person again. I know they never really stopped but first person perspective isn't always the best imo and I'm just happy that we haven't forgotten how much a perspective can change the experience. For a long time everything seemed to be getting faster and faster and there's something nice about seeing your character take each step and swing their weapons and such. Fast stuff is cool too but sometimes you want your weapon swings and bullets to feel a little *MEATY*, you know?

It’s kinda fun in Remnant 2 when you’re doing co-op with someone hosting campaign, the host character do exactly what they intended to do during cutscenes but the co-op characters just looking around super confused like “how the fuck did i get myself into this mess ??”
Baldurs gate 3 is so much fun. I've been enjoying it both solo and playing with a full party of 4 of my most chaotic friends. Plus it has splitscreen!! Now i have something else to play with my lil bro when he comes home from college

Remnant 2 is absolutely a "dark souls with guns", and I mean that as praise. (The dev's claim that "everyone has a different experience" is incredibly weak; there are 5 zones and three of them choose randomly between two different lines.)

I personally didn't like it. Everything felt generic and there wasn't enough to do imo. After one or two playthroughs it's just not fun which sucks for a game that's supposed to replayable.
Definitely a kids game, but it's been fun to play with mine: Disney Illusion Island just came out on Switch. Somehow with the Nintendo and Disney brands both stamped on this, it's still only $40.

Love the imagination on display with Nightingale. The familiar fantasy setting with a unique flair and twist is really doing for me.
