I love the Colorama halo so I'm happy about the cakes! Though knitting takes me longer, I knit three scarves using that, since I LOVE the gentle "seamless" ombre it makes. I haven't crocheted with it yet but I imagine it is similar.
@@ShannonTalksYarn I should clarify, each scarf took a full cake, but it made a long scarf! Yes I'll be waiting for the sales on this, hopefully this fall!
I’m so glad that they are back but it’s disappointing that some beautiful colors are gone!! I bet your shrugs are soooooo cozy! That’s such a good yarn choice for that project!
@@egoreknitsoh no!!! I think Kristen had the same experience!!! I think the biggest problem is if, for example, you want to work the ombré from light to dark but then dark to light. (Work the ombré backwards) I hope I’m saying that right!
I’m geeked to see Joann’s carrying Caron cakes because they have the better coupons (wanted to go use the 50% off in the app for today only but didn’t make it out) and I was getting bored with Mandala. Lol. But ever since Michael’s got rid of their 40% coupons I can’t afford the cakes most of the time. I’m not the biggest fan of halo yarn but I definitely want to try these. I debated over the OGo but hate the format. So pretty stripes and cake format, I’m down to give it a go. I would love to see more of the cakes make it to Joann’s.
It would be so awesome if Joann started selling more Caron cakes! I totally agree 💯 I don’t have a Michael’s near me, so I’m not good at comparing the two stores but I do appreciate the Joann coupons! Let me know what you think I’d you do try it out!!!
Yes it was cheaper! $2 cheaper to start with but it seems like they started marking down the O’gos fairly soon after they premiered them! I agree, these seem EXPENSIVE 😬

It's a nice yarn to use if you like acrylic yarn. The ombre the AMAZING. It's the most gradual embre I've ever seen!

I love the Colorama Halo yarn! I bought a bunch on clearance. I do like the cakes better. Easier to start from either end.

You have to like the fuzzy type of yarn to like this. But if you do, definitely try it out! It’s really nice to work with!
