as a Christian, your parents cannot use God against you. God is not a pokemon you call out on people when you’re mad at them. While I am still learning how to be a Christian, I can say with full confidence that your parents need to understand that their religion is meant to help others-not tear them down.

Also a Christian here. The fear of God is truly not a good thing. Religion is supposed to help people, not bring them down.

As someone who is agnostic but raised in a Christian environment I completely agree, I may not know where I align spiritually but I do know using god to justify abuse is bs
However the mental image of Red just walking in the tall grass and suddenly encountering god itself is so funny

There are two types of fears of God.
The good fear, which is just acknowledgement that our God is our God, and that He is the one that created us,
and the bad fear. The fear that other mortals try to instill in us to control us. They antagonize God, making it seem like if you slip up in the tiniest way, that you're going to hell.
That is not our God. That is a made up thing that horrible people try to prove to us is real.
God is loving, caring, and is gentle. He heals, not hurts. And He loves and forgives you no matter what you are, no matter what you have done. He has designed us to be exactly what we are, regardless of what we identify as, who we love, or what our mental illnesses are. He always makes sure you have every chance to prove your love to him and others.
God is good. Make sure you're faithful in Him. Not the people who say what he is and is not.
      -A queer Christian

Normally when I hear things about her parents I never would really sit and think about how absolutely toxic Synni's home life is...? I hate hearing her call herself a crybaby when she's legit a victim. I can SEE why she hates them and now it makes me happy to see her finally be free
(Except her bank account which where I live in order for a minor to get a bank account a parent needs to be under it also so they automatically have control of your account)
I think now if Synni wanted to soon she can get them off the account since she'll be a full adult for her own account. I could be wrong and anybody can correct me if they can.

I would consider it the bravest thing you've done. Moving out was always a big step to many people, but you took that step. And you made it successfully, you got this Synni. You've come so far, and you've made it.
You're in an environment where you can finally feel at least mentally safe(at least I do hope so.) I've been a fan for a long time. And knowing you've been going through this was a lot to take in.
But yet you took a path to where you felt more safe, I want to say I wish you and your roommate luck. The world as an adult sucks, but you'll both handle it all like champ's, and will have each other's back. I hope everything turns out just fine for you, and you stay safe physically and mentally! ✨✨✨

20 years old is still a very young age. Yes, you're an adult legally, but in terms of mental development you've still got half a decade to go before you're fully neurologically developed.
You're still an adult and have every right to remove yourself from this clusterfuck of a situation at home, but it doesn't change how you'll still benefit from guidance from your family ...
...which is exactly what your parents failed to provide. Them throwing it in your face that "you're an adult now" is such garbage, they chose to have kids, they should be there for said kids. Trying to step into your life and take your financial matters into their own hands was absurd, they've never given you space to grow into a functional adult, yet will throw it in your face that you need to deal with yourself because you're an adult. This is so whacky and absurd. So much unnecessary stress being thrown onto you because of your parents own insecurities, anger issues, whatever the hells going on in their heads. They're being selfish, manipulative, and weird. You deserve to just be able to start your life, and have a nice 20s. You've got so much life experience to get started on, and your parents should have your back so you can have a great time getting on your feet. It's good that you got this off your chest, its so brave. I really wanna see you start up your own life, starting with Jimmy of course, and develop a safe space and a secure social group and circle. That circle your family didn't seem to create for you. You've been so brave stepping out of this and moving away. Stay safe, keep being brave.

I'm so sorry you went through this. Losing 11k is a huge financial loss. Assuming that since you're an adult, your account should be under your name and your parents are just third party. Try calling your bank and saying the withdrawal from your account was unauthorized and allow them to investigate and to hopefully refund back the money in full. Also, try kicking your parents out of your bank account to prevent further unauthorized transactions in the future to protect yourself.

The comments justifying the parents are really gross to me. Yes, Synni is an awful person but let’s be honest here- her parents would have been awful whether Synni was a groomer or not. And their actions weren’t because they were trying to protect others clearly. They simply wanted control. If anything, their bad and control focused parenting could have caused them to not recognize the signs of what was to come in this current situation. (Or maybe that’s just wishful thinking on my part.)
Anywho I’m not saying people still need to feel empathy or care at this point, but don’t justify someone’s abuse they went through because they ended up being an abuser.

I definitely understand the feeling of caring for a family member who refuses to understand me and sermingly acts with a vendetta.
Please try and find a way to keep in touch with the brother in a way that isnt filtered by your parents. I know too many people whose siblings dissapeared as soon as they were able to.
    Good luck

You do not deserve what your parents did to you at all, that’s unfair on how they treat you that’s really fucked up 😕

  • @Lulosez
    @Lulosez 16 วันที่ผ่านมา +52

I used to hate that your parents took your things away and grounded you so much, but now I actually wish they grounded you longer and more.
Yes were they abusive most likely verbally but I almost feel like they almost were right about it (you not being responsible part), think of it they thought you weren’t responsible and they were actually right you weren’t, you endangered your roommate, you groomed someone..
Maybe they thought it for a different reason ngl but they were actually right for that instance at least.
You kept tryna prove them wrong and look where that’s got you.
I have no idea how you are going to be able to pay for your stuff with food rent water electric bill wifi etc etc by yourself without a roommate now everyone knows you’re a groomer unless you have people irl that don’t know your channel.
And after this video and your parents also possibly knowing you groomed someone, im sure they won’t want to take you in either and to be honest I don’t blame them fully if they didn’t.
Yes it’s their child but like.. imagine if your kid was a pedo, how would that make you feel..
At this point she could turn homeless like birdie was helping her pay for stuff already and getting money for an apartment by yourself is already hard unless she has a high end job
Also you say how your mom said your childish and etc.. yeah you groomed a kid childish.
I am not trying to condone everything they did like they shouldn’t have paid off the car but.. honestly maybe her parents could’ve also prevented her grooming more children ngl.. the times she was off the internet and grounded might of been needed.
But then again if they also maybe have given her a better childhood and better house hood maybe she would’ve been also shaped different so.. honestly don’t know either
I don’t agree with everything they did but maybe you actually were childish and irresponsible and they right about it even if it was for the wrong reason.

Oh yeah I saw this on her Discord! Poor Synni, her parents knew she was saving it for a while.
"Receive consequences" For moving out? She told you this, your grown ass adult daughter as you throw an tantrum like a child saying that's its an adult thing.
Synni I am so sorry your parents give you crap, you dont deserve this from the people that are supposed to respect and love you unconditionally. This isnt normal parenting. Why your parents think this is okay to treat you like you're constantly wrong is abnormal to me. I think you made the right decision leaving them. Hope you're safe.

I’m so glad you got outta that house!! I’ve been a fan of your content for around six years and saw how that living situation affected you throughout that time (as much as I could since I’m just an observer and don’t know you personally loloz). It makes me so happy to see that you finally made it out of there, I’m so happy for you!!!
Your parents’ behavior is really gross, especially to me since I’m a Christian. Hearing they use our religion as a shield for their abusive actions is so heartbreaking and infuriating. From what I understand, almost everything they’ve done goes against the Bible’s teachings. It’s like they spat in God’s face.
Also, I’m not sure if you yourself are a Christian, so what I’m bout to say may not hold much meaning to you, but I truly think you’ve acted in a Godly way throughout all this. To have the strength and mercy to still love people who’ve hurt you is so admirable and amazing. I really think He’s proud of you. I definitely am!! I’ll be praying that your parents see the flaws in their lives and that you, your brother, and your roommate all find the peace and relief you deserve. I wish you the best; I hope living on your own goes well and that you’re happy :D!!!

I'm so sorry that you had to go through this, Synni. No one your age, actually, no one at all deserves to go through that. You're so fucking strong, even though you shouldn't have had to be. I'm proud of you, and you and your roommate will get through this.
I'm unsure of your brother's age, but im assuming he's a minor, but I would encourage reaching out to him once he's an adult. It sounds like his kleptomania and compulsive lying stems from the fact he has very little agency, plus he got better after getting away from your hyper-controlling abusive parents solidifies that. I think him having a access to a safe person and good role model could help him.

you should really consider calling the police on your parents thief cuz i can see them going even farther with "giving you the consequences of your actions." or aka just plain abusing you.
i also understand if you dont want to go down that path but you will get your money back and then some if you do call. just remember you are free and have options.
