Thank you for your support everyone! We found that a simple LIKE makes a huge difference in how many people we reach with a video. Highly appreciated! Ride safe and see you from Calabria!
We are following you from the start, and your videis are improwing all the time. And for the fact that you are using pristin local music, you get one big like 👍
Thank you so much. We try our best, but it is a lot we still have to learn. Right now we struggle because we can not access our music sources from Iran.
12% gradient and headwind... why!? Excellent question!! Thank you for your authenticity. I am grateful I fell upon your channel. I feel like the most important part in these types of videos is the storytelling, how you tell your story and the point of view you choose to tell it from; and I very much like it!! I fully appreciate the honesty and I can already feel you two have evolved in the first two months of travel! Thanks for sharing
1/3rd of the way through the current AWBT playlist and enjoying the travels, and the widening of your comfort zone. I knew when I started watching you were very far East so its nice to watch you settling into this new lifestyle and its challenges.
Really enjoying watching your journey, the films are developing and we can see you become more seasoned travellers - taking challenges in your stride and making decisions that work for you. Bravo!
We really tried to transport the focus of our attention at the time in each episode. However, looking back, we would have wished to have had some more experience in filming, writing and editing 😅
@@AmazingWorldBikeTour very different, I would hardly understand a sigle word of Sicilian but the lady was speaking a mix, trying to speak Italian for you but not succeeding very well
Glad you enjoyed it, but you know what will be really dark as well? When you run out of "new stuff"/ videos soon 😅 We're working on the second Georgia episode already 😉
Great video again of places that we loved to travel through. In May 2013 we rode our bikes from Ragusa Ibla to Gela via Vittoria and the riding was really quite good. There was a very long and scenic descent to Vittoria, but it was a gradual gradient and would be OK to ride up. Between Vittoria and Gela the road was a Strade Statiale but the traffic was low as it was during la siesta. This was a less interesting section of the journey however, apart from the many kilometres of greenhouses to grow vegetables. Traffic was not any problem for us. Gela, Ragusa, Modica, Siracusa and Catania, all the cities we visited and had great experiences there. Wonderful to see it all again!
Hey Peter, we did not talk to Ivan ourselves, he was on the phone with Carmen or Chema, but apparently he did not like the greenhouses, gradient and slope. In any case, taking the train chaotic like this was kind of fun, but we also felt we could just have cycled our way up to Ragusa. You life to learn, right? ;-)
@@AmazingWorldBikeTour the joy of most roads in Italy (and France) is that the gradients are so wonderful - a consistent and easy 4-5% with flat switchbacks. Much nicer than the 5-10% grades we have here in SE Australia with steeply banked curves. Design for cars rather than for sensible transport.
A lovely episode, I'm really enjoying your travels. Coming down from Etna looked freezing. We were in Sardinia 4 years ago and loved the island but we didn't like Catania as it felt edgy and unsafe. On the second of our two days there was a shooting in a nearby street. We spent a lot of time in Palermo and love the city. Looking forward to seeing more of your travels. Thank you for sharing your journey.
Thanks. Yes, Catania is quite quirly. For us it felt somewhere inbetween Europe and Africa, which it is. You can bet that there will be many more stories coming!
Our pleasure. How did you decide on that? Between Gela and Agrigent the coast was not very remarkable most of the time. Many greenhouses, not very special. Will you go all the way to the west?
@@AmazingWorldBikeTour I am, South African but live in Malta for the past few years. It's a easy ferry over to Pozzallo and back. I will only go for a few days 5-7. See how far I can get before I catch a train back to Pozzallo to ferry. It appears the south is less congested and more cycling friendly.
Would you consider this a long one, or do you mean more like an hour per episode? From a editing perspective though, it's getting much more complicated the longer it gets.

Another enjoyable glimpse into bike touring. Thanks
Thank you Glenn. This time felt special to us, because for the first time we really got to cycle together with other people.

We still don't have an answer to that question though!
Also thank you for your kind words!

Hey 👋 how are you two doing?
We just entered Iran 🇮🇷 😀
Lovely nonna! Well done in communicating with her, she was not speaking Italian 😂
Yes, what a lovely woman! Is Sicilian much different from Italian?

What a fantastic video the christmas eve was absolutely amazing
Yes it was!
Thanks my friends, once again, it was a great video . I love Sicilia thought I know its dark sides.

@@AmazingWorldBikeTour If I understood you well, you should be on the roads for a while, so you will have lots to talk about , won't you ?
Oh yes! We have many stories to tell! :)
I guess I managed to miss the best bits of Sicily when I went there last year !!
Well, one week is not a lot of time on a bicycle 😉
amazing
Glad you think so!
Nice and heart-warming video. Thanks!
Our pleasure!
Great to see you guys had such a nice Christmas ♥️
Yes that was lovely. Next Christmas we might be in Thailand or at least somewhere in SE Asia 😇
❤
Looking forward of the next episode🥰

@Peter Signorini In our imagination Australia is flat 😅
Another awesome video! Thanks for recording, editing and sharing it! All the best!
Thanks for your feedback, Mikheil!
Who were the people at the dinner?
They were cyclists from Spain and France, that were in Sicily at the moment. And our host, John, hosted all of us over the Christmas.

I plan to cycle the south of Sicily in summer. Starting in Pozzallo and move west on the southern coast of the island.

Thanks for another great episode. The quality of the video and editing is getting better and better. I look forward to the next episode 🙂
Your feedback is highly appreciated. We slowly start to get a hang of it. Still a lot to learn.
So enjoyable to watch your adventures! Thanks for the videos! Good luck on your trip!
We’re happy to share! Thanks a lot!

Thanks! It’s never late for Christmas:))
A lot of content here

Other cyclists who were in the area that time. So we thought it would be fun to have a nice dinner for Christmas together with our amazing host!
